The U.S. is tightening the screws on South Korea regarding their defense cost sharing negotiations..., urging Seoul to show "flexibility."
A senior State Department official said Thursday that the U.S. has been flexible in their negotiations over the cost of American troops stationed in South Korea and it's now Seoul's turn to do the same.
This statement comes after the allies reached an agreement for Seoul to pay Korean employees on U.S. military bases in South Korea...who are currently on furlough.
In regards to the recent delivery of new military equipment to a base in Seongju, the statement said no important upgrades were made to the THAAD system.
