S. Korea, U.S. conclude first day of defense cost-sharing negotiations

Seoul and Washington begun another round of defense cost sharing negotiations.
The first of the two day event lasted about four hours.
The session was led by the nation's top negotiator Jeong Eun-bo... and his American counterpart James DeHart.
According to the foreign ministry the duo shared their basic stance.
Washington is reportedly calling on Seoul to pay five billion U.S. dollars more than five times the amount initially agreed under the current deal that expires this year.
South Korea repeatedly emphasized, the figure has to be fair and acceptable to both sides.
Talks will continue on Tuesday.
