This Carrot/Gajar dessert is very rich and delicious made by cooking slowly in milk and adding khoya/mawa,sugar,clarified butter/ghee and dry fruits.Special ingredient green cardamom powder is added to enhance the taste.You can make this recipe without adding khoya/mawa but if you will add then it will give you fabulous taste.I am sharing my recipe of Gajar ka Halwa/carrot pudding/dessert which is very easy and quick to make.I am using my homemade mawa/khoya/reduced milk for this recipe which is sweetened but if you want you can use market bought which is less sweetened.In case of market bought mawa/khoya add more sugar to balance the taste..If you like my recipe then do like,share and subscribe to my channel chop n chill..so lets start the recipe.. Ingredients for the recipe : 1 kg grated red carrot/laal gajar (washed,peeled and finely grated/ghisa hua) 1/4 cup/80 ml clarified butter/asli ghee 150 gm sugar more or less as per your taste (Imp note: I have used sweetened khoya/mawa so used less sugar,if you are using unsweetened mawa/khoya then you can use around 200 to 250 gm of sugar or as per your taste) 150 gm sweetened or unsweetened mawa/khoya/reduced dry thick milk 1/2 cup or 125 ml milk 1 tsp tsp green cardamom powder/hari elaichi powder 1 tbsp Chopped Pistachio/pista 2 tbsp chopped Almonds/badaam 3 tbsp chopped cashew/kaju some chopped dry fruits for garnishing some khoya/mawa for garnishing
Notes : Prefer non-stick pan/wok/kadai to avoid sticking Do not cook on high heat. Always use proper measuring cups and spoon for perfect measurement
