Record amounts of rainfall in South Florida on June 7 left streets and parking lots flooded with water. In North Lauderdale, the water was so high that people attached surfboards to their cars and surfed through the streets. The rain stopped briefly, but more storms are expected to come later in the day on June 8 and on June 9, according to local news reports. The Sawgrass Mills mall in Sunrise, Florida, is closed for a second day because of its flooded parking lot.
