In an interview with France 24’s Fatimata Wayne, Nigerian Nobel Literature laureate Wole Soyinka reacts to the disturbing news that at least 185 people have been recently abducted in Nigeria by islamist extremists Boko Haram. The celebrated author calls the government's response to the Boko Haram threat “inadequate”.
"I totally consider the government action inadequate, completely inadequate", he says, "and I am not talking about this government alone, I am talking about past governments".
