00:22We were sitting in the street outside our tents when suddenly the missiles hit.

00:31We're buried alive and then we're buried dead.

00:35I pulled my children out from the rubble.

00:39The news strikes come a day after Israeli soldiers were reported in Haaretz,

00:43describing Gaza as a killing field,

00:46a place where IDF soldiers are told to fire at unarmed civilians who are seeking aid.

00:52The Israel and U.S.-backed private contractor that handles the distribution,

00:59the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, has defended its work,

01:03despite claims from the United Nations that at least 410 people

01:07have been killed since May while trying to get food.

01:11Any operation that channels desperate civilians into militarised zones is inherently unsafe.

01:19It's killing people.

01:21It's time for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza,

01:24the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages,

01:28and full, safe and sustained humanitarian access.

01:32But according to the U.S. president,

01:34the system for distributing aid is pretty good now,

01:38and a truce between Israel and Hamas could be imminent.

01:41And we think within the next week we're going to get a ceasefire.

01:45Qatar has also said it is heavily involved in discussions with the warring parties,

01:50and has urged them to reach an agreement.
