This is a 12th c. structure and is the world's first Gothic church.

It is in Saint-Denis (métro from Paris line 13, BASILIQUE) just North of Montmartre in Paris. The interior and exterior are undergoing renovation, so there is scaffolding here. The stained glass windows are being worked on. They are 19th c., as the basilica was wrecked during the first French Revolution in the 18th c.

Two out of three organs were played for this Mass at 10 am on January 19, 2014. The pipe organ is 18th c. and is one of the finest in the world. It is also rare, at this point. The best organists come from all over the world to play it.

Saint-Denis has a fascinating, complex and long history, and there is an excellent, huge greenmarket (one of the largest in Europe) outside -- it runs every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday morning.
