DRIVING THROUGH VETHEUIL (FRANCE)

... at least, I'm pretty sure that was Vetheuil. It went by quickly!
We have a Citröen Xsara, '01, diesel. I think we are its third owners. It had 80,000 km on it when we got it in 2012 via inheritance. This is our second Citröen. Before that, we had a ZX "Flash," diesel. Both cars are manual transmission. The ZX was about a '93 model and we were its third owners and also got it via inheritance. It was sold in excellent working condition, only needing adjustment or replacement of the hand brake to pass the next inspection. In many ways, we preferred the ZX, although the Xsara does have better fuel efficiency.
We drove from Paris to Giverny in Eure, then Vernon near the Val d'Oise and Yvelines border, then Haute-Isle in Val d'Oise, for sightseeing. The Vexin region outside Paris is lovely, and where Normany begins is also terrific. All three places we visited on April 14, 2014 were on the river Seine.
