For nine years, an Aussie family of four has lived aboard a 53ft sailboat, spear-fishing for food and exploring the world.

After losing a parent each, Sara and Lee Rice decided life was too short to wait for retirement.

They pulled their kids from school and set sail from Australia in 2016, later upgrading their boat to a bigger model.

Now in Mexico and Costa Rica, they’ve travelled to eight countries and homeschooled their kids along the way.

“We wanted to inspire others,” said Sara. “We’re normal people chasing a dream.”
