Over 100 Spanish football fans travelled 1,000 miles to support Harborough Town FC in their Southern League Premier Division Central match against St Ives on April 12, 2024.
The fans, who were subscribers to the La Media Inglesa (LMI) YouTube channel, sang and chanted in Spanish, but their support couldn't prevent a 2-1 defeat for Harborough Town.
The Spanish fans, led by LMI’s Barcelona-born founder Ilie Oleart, had voted to support Harborough Town, and their visit marked the beginning of a partnership.
The game was streamed for Spanish fans, and the experience exceeded expectations.
