00:00All right, it's crossover time, which means we welcome in Mark Willard and Dan Dibley.
00:07Hey, guys.
00:08I'm excited for this one.
00:10Why?
00:10Woo!
00:11Just because.
00:11You said he'd been in a bad mood, Stiney Willard.
00:13He has been.
00:14That's not true.
00:15Oh, man.
00:16It's only Tuesday.
00:17How can you pay me?
00:17Well, last week, Willard.
00:18Come back to last week.
00:19Last week?
00:20What did I miss?
00:20Oh, my God.
00:21I was in a great mood last week.
00:23I'm not in a great mood.
00:23First of all, you weren't even here on Thursday.
00:26How can you tell what mood I'm in?
00:27You were in Sunnyvale.
00:29You were laughing muck.
00:30You got mad at me on your crossover.
00:32Yeah, we did.
00:33You did the crossover.
00:34You did the crossover.
00:35What, you looked on YouTube and you're like, I was in a bad mood.
00:38No.
00:39And I'm not as happy.
00:40You didn't pay off a tease.
00:41And no offense to Evan.
00:44I'm a little more happy when goo is just around me.
00:48He's happy.
00:49He makes me happy.
00:50All right.
00:50You two have at it.
00:51No.
00:52Willard, do you have a problem with me calling you Will?
00:55None.
00:55Stiney apparently went in the boss's office, and the boss checked him.
00:58When are you going to talk to your partner?
01:00He goes, about what?
01:01Calling Willard Will.
01:03My dad, last name Johnson, shocker.
01:05In the Navy, they called him John.
01:06I've been called.
01:07As a young kid, I'm like, who the hell is John?
01:09His name's Norm.
01:10John, short for Johnson.
01:12I'd do the same with you.
01:13Who the hell is John?
01:14Will for Willard.
01:15I've been called Will my entire life.
01:16Oh, my God.
01:17My closest friends call me Will to this day.
01:20I went golfing with two of them on Sunday.
01:22That's what they call me.
01:24What do you got to say for that, Stiney?
01:25That's what they call me.
01:26I'm not the one who had a problem with it.
01:28But you kind of agreed with him.
01:30I don't care.
01:33I don't care.
01:34My first thing would be, hey, boss, don't you have other things to worry about?
01:38I did miss you guys.
01:38We've got issues at this station coming out of the ears, and he's worried about a nickname.
01:44We've got to fix some stuff around here.
01:46Thanks for checking on me, dude.
01:48After the crossover, it does look like an F1 pit stop in here.
01:53I tried to stay quiet.
01:55It was like, go, go, go.
01:58I thought I saw C3PO at one point.
02:01It's amazing.
02:02Well, the big difference is the F1 pit stop is about 5.3 seconds.
02:05This was 5.3 minutes.
02:07It's actually been 5.3 months, but that's a different story also.
02:11I really want to extrapolate.
02:12It's probably closer to 5.3 years.
02:14Because even at the old studio, when we went to the TriCaster, when we had those mounted
02:18cameras in the old building, and we really started to debut video, so probably 5.3 years,
02:25but yeah, there you have it.
02:26A little look behind the curtain.
02:2814 plus years here at 95.7 The Game.
02:31Wow, look at him.
02:33We had a caller, Nick, call in, just to give you a little tidbit, catch you up.
02:38We were talking Giants, and I'm really disappointed.
02:42How can you not be?
02:43And the guy called in saying they're not good enough, and I believe they're underperforming
02:48across the board, and that's all.
02:49And I just shared my, like I had to, the National Series, just, they look lifeless.
02:56Yeah, I don't, like that's always an interesting sort of comeback when people are like, well,
03:01you should have expected them to be awful.
03:04And it's like, even if you did look at it that way, I think you're still completely in
03:08the right to be disappointed.
03:10That's all.
03:11I don't, no one, no one was like calling for the World Series.
03:15You're not going to get a new roster next year.
03:18Yeah, like that's the question.
03:20You know what answer I'm done with from, and it's from the Giants?
03:24Oh, the playoffs.
03:25No, no, no.
03:26Constantly.
03:28Hey, what's wrong?
03:29We don't know.
03:30And that.
03:31What if we're new?
03:33We'd fix it.
03:34Talent's all here.
03:36We're just, we're doing everything right, and it's just, I'm done with that answer.
03:40Man, I said, man.
03:42I am done with that answer.
03:44And I hear it on the microphones and off.
03:47Everyone in the organization.
03:48It's like, we don't know.
03:50Well, guess what?
03:52Are we going to know next year?
03:53It's your job to know.
03:54And that's it?
03:55I figured out.
03:56Because this sucks.
03:58The simple answer is, I think, that they're not good enough.
04:01And they were set at the start of the year with an over-under of 81.5.
04:04And you added, and you also subtracted, and here you are, a game below .500, and you kind
04:11of are what Vegas thought you were going to be.
04:13And if you look at their team, and some of the guys that you're rolling out there, whether
04:17it's, I like to look at pitches, Bailey, or Casey Schmidt, and Christian Koss every now
04:23and again, Gilby, who finally got a knock, and he's bummed about it.
04:27Overall, across the board, you're kind of, you're a mediocre team.
04:30Okay, don't you think, though, like, when we bring up the bottom of the order, and
04:34everybody's got a bottom of the order, not the Dodgers, but everybody else has got a
04:37bottom of the order.
04:39So, I guess I'd say it this way.
04:41Even if I buy what you're saying, that it's like, okay, quote, they're not good enough,
04:44you would not expect some of the names in this lineup to continue to put out games where
04:51you get four hits, and people are sitting on their hands the entire night, and we've
04:57circled back to that damn buzzword that we've been playing with for four years.
05:02Boring.
05:02Boring.
05:03So, that's, that's like, no, I, from that perspective, I kind of reject your answer.
05:09They're not this bad, on paper, but they are.
05:13So, I can't look at.
05:13In person?
05:14Yeah, but like.
05:14And in paper, they are this bad.
05:15But look at Devers.
05:16Devers is now hitting like Devers.
05:18Okay.
05:19Okay, Willie Adamas is hitting like Adamas.
05:21All right, yeah.
05:22So, like, you do have some dudes.
05:23That's two out of nine.
05:24Well, right, but a lot of the guys.
05:26Sure.
05:26Like, keep going.
05:27It's not like, okay, Jung Huli is disappointing, but he's not hitting 180.
05:31Like, how on earth are you so lifeless?
05:35Forget your record.
05:37Yeah.
05:37Okay, your record says you're not that good.
05:40But how are you so lifeless?
05:42Non-competitive on a nightly basis.
05:45Even your bats, non-competitive.
05:48I don't get it.
05:50And apparently they don't either.
05:51The problem is, is I'm not paid to get it, and they are.
05:54I mean, you're not talking about last night's game.
05:56I'm talking about all of them.
05:56The last two games in particular.
05:58I'm talking about a thread through many of the games in the second half of this year.
06:02I mean, I would put Sunday's game against Washington in a different category.
06:06I will say this, like, you, Darvish, hasn't pitched much this year.
06:12And he's been terrible.
06:13No.
06:13And he looked pretty good.
06:17So would Gore Sunday.
06:17He's been struggling.
06:19Do you know how many dudes have mowed the Giants down when they're not mowing anybody else down this year?
06:23Mow.
06:23Yeah.
06:24Answers a lot.
06:25That's how the Pirates come in and sweep you.
06:27Right.
06:28Right.
06:28I love that you guys are entertaining the life.
06:32Like, you can, some stuff you can't control, but you are right.
06:35And I told Stiney, that answer of, we don't know, that's a problem.
06:41Can I give you another one?
06:42We've tried everything.
06:44Oh, God.
06:46We've had meetings.
06:47We've not had meetings.
06:48We've had more BP.
06:49We've had less BP.
06:51You've tried.
06:53All right.
06:54Then let's just give up.
06:55And I keep hearing about, oh, next year, if we can't solve the, what's the problem, how do we know next year?
07:01You could put Babe Ruth in the lineup.
07:03They're all signed to be back next year, so why wouldn't they be lifeless again?
07:07Where are you with Melvin?
07:08Getting worse.
07:10And I appreciate you admitting getting, you didn't say run them.
07:13I'm there.
07:14Getting worse.
07:14But you said it's not getting better.
07:16Well, I just, there's two ways to answer that.
07:19It's sort of, it's like, where do you think Buster is?
07:21And I think Buster is probably frustrated, impatient, and now has had a year of assessing things and probably does, at least in spots, want to put in some new people.
07:30I don't know if it's all the way up at the top.
07:32But then again, you know, like we're going from smaller sample to larger sample.
07:37And if you have tried everything and you flat out don't know what's going on, well, then I, that's kind of your job.
07:46Like, we can spotlight the decision here or there with a pitching change that you did or you didn't like, but I, I'm more of a, like, it's one of the reasons that I don't get so bothered by a Kyle Shanahan when he has a bad play call.
08:00He has set up a system with the Niners that the players really respond to.
08:05They would, I believe they'd run through a wall for him.
08:07Like, it does not appear that Bob Melvin has done that.
08:10That's his job.
08:12I don't know if any of you guys have ever been the boss here in the room.
08:15Have you ever been the boss?
08:17Because I've never been the boss, but I've been a coach of many teams when you have to do the toughest thing all season, which at the high school levels make cuts.
08:26You have tryouts and you got to make cuts.
08:28And sometimes you have to cut people that you don't really like, or sometimes you have to cut people that you love, but they're just not good enough.
08:36And it's really hard to do.
08:37And that's what I'm thinking about with Buster Posey, because if this continues to go this way, Pat Burrell and the offense have been bad.
08:46So it's one of his former teammates and ostensibly a friend.
08:50That's a hard choice.
08:51And John Barr, who is a special advisor to the president of Baseball Ops, the guy who actually found Buster when he was a college player, he's on the staff.
09:01That may be a conversation.
09:02Kyle Haynes, friend of the program, who is the, what, VP of player personnel?
09:06The player development head, yeah.
09:08You look at that whole department, many of whom are holdovers from the previous regime, you're going to have to maybe make some wholesale changes,
09:15because that, for me, is as big a problem as Melvin and Burrell and the coaching staff.
09:21And I appreciate the instruction.
09:21Let me just throw this to you and Willard, because I did to Stiney.
09:24Tell me what I personally did wrong from that Sunday when the trade was announced that Monday we had former GM Boat Non.
09:33He was talking possible World Series for the Giants.
09:35Forget what he said.
09:36I was ecstatic.
09:37What did I or we do wrong from that day forecasting, oh my gosh, maybe the division is not a pipe dream, to where we're at now.
09:48What did I omit?
09:50Nothing.
09:51No.
09:51I don't think you or the fans did anything wrong.
09:55I think that was completely fair.
09:5779 and 80 was not on the table.
09:59No.
10:00Oh, God, no.
10:01And actually, from that moment, they've been well, well worse than that.
10:04I think the fourth worst team in the majors.
10:05No, no, that's too many games.
10:07You know what I mean?
10:08They might wind up at 79 and 80 after 159.
10:12They probably will.
10:13What did I miss?
10:14How can you not be excited when they have the best bullpen in the league?
10:18They had two starting pitchers on the all-star team.
10:20You're not asking for a murderer's row.
10:22Three pitchers in the all-star game.
10:23Yeah, but you injected an elite hitter into a group that was, at that time, it was so-so.
10:32Like, just not a great offensive team, but they didn't need to be a great offensive team.
10:37They didn't need to be.
10:39And then what happened after that falls into a bucket of poor on-field decision-making,
10:48poor defense, players out of position, and again, back to that, we're just lifelessness.
10:55Because losing the exact kind of game that you would repeatedly win, that 2-2 game going
11:00into the 8th or the 9th at Oracle Park, they got 80% of those, and this year they're getting
11:06500 at home, Skynie.
11:09Well, that makes sense.
11:12Because pitching and defense tends to win at that park, and defensively they haven't been
11:17great this year.
11:18And I, like, right now, I'm starting to look at the pitching, and man, I'm looking back
11:23thinking, guys really must have been pitching well the first 75 or 80 games, because if
11:30you look at the staff right now, without Roop, they need three pitchers.
11:35Right now, they need three pitchers.
11:37Roop was great, and then...
11:38Yeah, he was terrific.
11:39Yeah, and Verlander had been the previous three starts, he'd been better, and then another
11:44bad outing, and your Birdsong, Wisenhunt spot has not been terrific.
11:49He was alright at the beginning, though.
11:51Yeah.
11:51And then he couldn't throw strikes.
11:54And then he went, Ebby Calhoun, Lelouch on everybody.
11:56Yeah, and I think Wisenhunt, he needs to get into an offseason and figure out what else
12:01he can add and how else he can pitch, because right now, the book is, this guy's got a great
12:06change, so just chill and wait for the change.
12:08And when he's throwing it, that thing's getting devoured, and, you know, the bullpen spot isn't
12:13really working, more Kiwi Tang coming, right, tomorrow?
12:16Is he going to get the start again?
12:17I don't know.
12:18He pitched great last time, but they're just not good enough across the board, unless all
12:24of your secondary and your tertiary pieces, unless they play really well, like Adamas,
12:30getting hot, been hot, Devers, getting hot, Chapman's been mostly steady, but that's a third
12:36of your lineup, and you look at last night, and the word you guys are talking about, lifeless,
12:40that, for me, is the biggest indictment on Bob Melvin.
12:43No doubt, no, he's strong, man.
12:44Like, you're in a spot where, the Padres, you can still do something this year if you
12:49handle the Padres, and you went out and you basically, you kind of lay down.
12:54And I think the Mets going into this tailspin that we didn't foresee losing, and you still
12:59can't take advantage of that, I think that makes it worse.
13:02You're listening to 95.7 The Game, KGM, ZFM, and HD1 San Francisco, and Odyssey Sports
13:08Station, always live on the free Odyssey app, and now broadcasting from the Laughing Monk
13:12Studios.
13:14Go ahead, Will.
13:16They're still four and a half out.
13:18It's amazing.
13:19He was waiting for me to say the math is there.
13:21The play's not, though.
13:22Well, no, so, it was funny, because a lot of people, because I, you weren't here yesterday,
13:27I kind of did a, look, this looks awful, this looks done, I'm as lifeless as the rest of
13:33you are, but the seven games out of the next ten are against San Diego, I'll sit here and
13:39wait for you to not do it, and then we'll officially have your funeral.
13:45And so, what I said was, over these next ten games, you have to win at least seven of
13:49them, and at least five of those seven wins need to be against the Padres.
13:52And they're still allowed to do that.
13:54So, they're not going to, but, like, until they don't, I'll still sit, like, I'll be
14:00back in front of the TV, 6.45 tonight, like, because at any point, like, that winning streak
14:07can happen in sports.
14:09We spent a lot of time yesterday talking about, like, not dismissing the surprise in sports.
14:15That's like, that's what I'm doing here.
14:17That's what I love about sports.
14:18And I'm no clinical doctor, but even from afar, in the SIP, I'm watching that game on YouTube,
14:24TV, and it looks like they're mentally exhausted.
14:27The hitters, when a runner's in score position, it's like, this is when you should be like,
14:33let's go.
14:33It just looks like they're not a fear to fail.
14:37There's just some across the board, they're not getting it done with the bat.
14:42That's how they're losing these games.
14:44Steini keeps talking about the pitching.
14:45Okay, he's taking a step back.
14:46But the one, it's not, they're not losing 20-1 every night.
14:50It's still the same theme.
14:52Let me throw this at you.
14:54If we're going to jump ahead to next year.
14:56All right.
14:57I'm looking at this team, and Devers, Adamas, and Chapman are the, let's just call them the
15:03big three.
15:03You want to put Ramos in and make it four?
15:06And Jungle Lee's going to be here, so.
15:07I kind of didn't want to put Ramos in just because of his age.
15:10Okay, okay.
15:11So, you know, those three guys have not quite produced like they, like you hoped.
15:21But they're on your team, and they're probably going to be on your team for a while.
15:25So I think they can be better next year.
15:27Those three guys as a collective.
15:30But now I look at this team going into next year, and I know we're talking about the hitting
15:34this year.
15:35Yeah, I'm more worried about the pitching next year than the hitting next year, believe
15:40it or not.
15:41Because we lost two of our relievers, and I say we, because I'm a Giants fan.
15:46Huge.
15:46And.
15:47I'm a Giants fan.
15:48And we've got to figure out Wiz and Hunt, Roop, Birdsong, and who, one more guy, maybe,
15:56maybe not.
15:57A Kiwi Tang, for sure.
15:59Mark's favorite.
15:59Well, you know what I mean?
16:01Like, they still, ideally they can get a free agent pitcher and then have at least
16:07another guy emerge.
16:08I mean, if you look at it and go, okay, in theory, I know you're assuming health, but
16:13Logan Webb is the starter next year.
16:15Robbie Ray is the starter next year.
16:16Landon Roof is the starter next year.
16:19Does Birdsong figure something out?
16:21I don't know about the young guys, but you can go get another free agent or two to be
16:26rotation guys, and as far as the bullpen, you know, like they, okay, Rodriguez is going
16:30to be your closer now.
16:31You're allowed to go sign Tyler Rodgers back if you want to.
16:34He's a free agent.
16:36So, like, I think that there are ways to address that without doing major long-term contracts,
16:42plus pitchers overperform at Oracle Park, because it's a great pitcher's part.
16:46So, like, I still think that the pitching staff can be fine, but what they need to do is
16:53have more competitive at-bats and more smarts on the field.
16:57They need to be a smarter baseball team also on the field.
17:00Gary St. Gene used to talk about internal development, and he used to always get kind
17:07of laughed at.
17:08So, Bailey, Schmidt, I'll put Jung-Hoo Lee in there, Matos, Ramos, like, are they good enough?
17:23Will they be good enough to be supporting players on a really good team?
17:29Can they get better in the areas you're talking about?
17:32And as you know, guys, all roads lead to Kaminga, and that's been a frustration for the Warriors
17:36is in four years, they don't feel like he's developed those intangibles that they would
17:40like him to have developed by now.
17:43So, with Elliott Ramos, he can hit.
17:46He can flat-out hit.
17:47He's an all-star.
17:48Or, can he get better in the field?
17:50Can he have somebody hitting him fly balls all winter?
17:53With the right instruction, I think he can.
17:54Learn how to get angles, and, you know, the arm's not bad, but he's just kind of an adventure
17:59out there, and, you know, is that a fair thing to say?
18:02It's getting worse.
18:03It's getting worse.
18:04No, it's totally fair.
18:05I love the word.
18:05Choose your old adventure books, remember?
18:07Yeah, I love, well, I do not choose this adventure.
18:09Fly ball to left.
18:09If he cuts it off, turn to page 71.
18:12If he retreats, go to page 77.
18:14I think he retreats.
18:16Oh, it gets by him.
18:17So, you're right, Stiney.
18:18I do think that it is an attractive free agent destination for pitchers.
18:23Maybe Bryce Eldridge will be ready, and he can provide some thump.
18:27The things that you pointed out, though, I'm looking at Melvin and Pat Burrell as, guys,
18:32this is where you need to, you know, if you're Bob Melvin and you've been doing this for 24
18:37seasons, you cannot have your team go into flaccid mode in what should be a pennant race.
18:43There always has to be a message, right?
18:44So, go back to your original thing.
18:46Like, have you ever been the boss?
18:47Right.
18:48And I think all of us in the room on one level or another would like to think that we have
18:51been some sort of a boss, at least in our homes.
18:54Boy, that's what I was going to say, man.
18:56And by the way, I've told you this before.
18:58If that were the case, I'd have been fired like a bunch of times because that's really
19:03hard.
19:04And the deal is, I can't believe we're having this conversation because it's going on literally
19:09on my phone with my wife right now.
19:12Like, if...
19:13Early trouble?
19:14Well, no, not with her.
19:15Not with her.
19:16No, but with the...
19:16He's liking it early, Stiney.
19:18With the employees.
19:19Ah, gotcha.
19:20There's trouble with the employees.
19:21You got five employees now.
19:23We got a lot of employees.
19:24Her employees are doing fine.
19:25Mine, not so much.
19:26So, if your message is not getting across, you can get mad at the employees, but at a
19:36certain point, you better change your message or the way that it's landing and at least
19:42try something different.
19:43And I'm really bad at that.
19:45Like, I kind of...
19:46I'm whiz and hunt.
19:47I have a pitch and I throw it.
19:50And sometimes it's not a good day for that pitch.
19:52And so, we struggle with that messaging sometimes.
19:56And that's...
19:56I literally had someone in the organization, and this was weeks ago.
20:00Your organization?
20:01The Giants.
20:01Okay.
20:01Not my organization.
20:03The Giants say whatever the message is.
20:07I don't even know if anybody knows what Bob Melvin's message is.
20:10But whatever it is, it's not getting home.
20:13That's right.
20:14And that's how they look and perform.
20:16And to me.
20:17Unfortunately, in life, that comes down on him.
20:20Yeah, I'm so glad you're saying this, because we are having the same conversation with our
20:25not-quite-all-the-way-potty-trained, soon-to-be-three-year-old.
20:28And the messaging from the leader of our organization, P.S. Not Me, it's not landing.
20:35And so, I'm trying to get us to redirect the messaging in a different way.
20:39So, perhaps, you know, she'll rock the deuce in the appropriate spot.
20:45I just wonder...
20:46Two words, my guy.
20:47Two words for you.
20:48Sorry, Grandy.
20:49Corporal punishment.
20:51Well, that actually isn't working.
20:53Really?
20:53Not that we've tried it, like, drop and give me 20, but...
20:56I don't think that would work on a three-year-old.
20:57Yeah.
20:57I got it.
20:58Did you all get it?
20:59Did you get some corporal punishment when you were a kid?
21:01My parents should be buried under the jail.
21:04I apologize.
21:05I touched a nerve.
21:06I can see that.
21:07No, I...
21:07We all have child control.
21:09It's okay.
21:09I did early.
21:10Were you liking it early?
21:11No.
21:12Okay.
21:12No.
21:13Mine came from my siblings, not my parents.
21:15I never got the belt or anything like that.
21:16No, I didn't get the belt, but I got a few.
21:18I got the belt and switch and extension cord.
21:21See, that's...
21:22Ow.
21:23Yeah.
21:23Yeah.
21:24Yeah.
21:24No, seriously.
21:25My dad...
21:25I don't like their dad.
21:26Rest in peace.
21:27Ten years ago today...
21:28I don't like...
21:29I'm sorry.
21:30Yeah.
21:30We lost Dwayne 10 years ago today.
21:32Rest in peace.
21:32Yep.
21:33Dwayne, August 12th of 2015.
21:36Hard to believe it's been 10.
21:38He had a ping pong paddle in the top drawer of his dresser, and I was like, don't make me
21:43get the paddle.
21:44Yeah.
21:44And, you know, it was a blue ping pong paddle with the old bumpy surface, and then I went
21:49in his drawer a few months later, and there was a red one in there, and a few months later
21:53there was a green one, and so I say, Dad, what happened to the blue one?
21:56Ask your brother.
21:58Ooh.
21:58The blue one done got broken.
22:00He knocked the paint right off of it.
22:01He may have, yeah, but with those three monsters, there weren't enough table tennis paddles
22:07in the country for those three.
22:08Well, I take it it was one of those with the little nodes on it.
22:11That's what I'm saying.
22:12Not one of the really fancy ones with all the padding.
22:16Or the real original sandpaper ones.
22:18Oh.
22:19This was the ones with the nodules.
22:20You're exactly right.
22:21The nodules.
22:22Get them at Big Five for a buck apiece.
22:24Oh, man.
22:25My sister would get in, and I'd laugh when Corporal Punishment would come her way, and then for
22:29me, she'd be grinning, and it's just like, oh.
22:32It's so funny, because when my siblings would get it, I'd be grinning, and they'd look at
22:36me like, oh, Mom and Dad aren't always home.
22:39You realize that, dummy.
22:39Oh, yeah, you got problems.
22:41So they'd leave, and it was a three-on-one fast break.
22:44Too early to worry about injuries with the Niners, or we got half one time.
22:47Oh, I mean.
22:48No, you can go ahead.
22:49No, I'm talking about this.
22:51You can go ahead and worry.
22:52No, I'm asking.
22:53I don't know.
22:55When do we not worry about injuries in football?
22:58Well, coming off of last year, yeah.
23:01Wow.
23:01But didn't you worry about it?
23:03Just because it didn't happen, there's never been a football game where I don't go in as
23:07a fan going, please don't.
23:09No, that's the game, but this is early.
23:11Well, better now than then.
23:13Well, we said that with the calf in McCaffrey last year, when I was like, oh, it's tiny.
23:17By the way.
23:18And look what happened.
23:18Hey, does Matt Stafford's August 2025 sound a lot like Christian McCaffrey's August 2024?
23:25I keep saying, tell him what you told me.
23:26My sources say he's fine.
23:28Dude, I don't know why, but they say he's fine.
23:31Dude, this is bad.
23:32Why would anybody even know that?
23:34Oh.
23:34Why would?
23:35Because it's a source.
23:36Yeah, but look at Grandy.
23:38If it's not Matt himself.
23:39You heard it here first.
23:40Okay.
23:41Okay.
23:41Fine.
23:42I got people.
23:42But that's cryptic, dude.
23:43He was supposed to practice it, and then he didn't.
23:45No doubt.
23:45No doubt.
23:45We're not that concerned.
23:47Can't take a snap.
23:48Like, no, I'm serious.
23:49Like, he's everything.
23:51If that's...
23:51I know.
23:52I know.
23:52I'm going to go get more info on this.
23:54He is currently in what they call an immortal chamber.
23:58It's a $160,000 chamber.
24:01So if you have to be in a high-priced chamber in August, that means you're back.
24:05It's more than just a massage.
24:06Moms had to get the head for Darryl Shots in the back just to keep going.
24:09He got one of those.
24:10There were sources last August that were like, don't worry.
24:14McCaffrey's fine.
24:15Oh, my sources are not.
24:17And there you go.
24:17Yeah.
24:18But we had sources in San Francisco who thought that McCaffrey was, quote-unquote, fine last
24:24August.
24:25I didn't pay attention to that.
24:26Well, that's a you problem.
24:27I did.
24:28We were out there that Monday night, and it came out.
24:31And then we never saw him.
24:35I mean, what did he play?
24:37Sort of, kind of, two and a half games or something?
24:39What about the ball to sound about where McCaffrey's at?
24:42Just the pounding.
24:44Well, that was scary.
24:45Hopefully he's wrong.
24:47He wasn't trying to be right, but man.
24:48But he didn't take a pounding last year.
24:50I'm more worried about Barkley than McCaffrey this year.
24:54Because McCaffrey got rest.
24:56And Barkley?
24:58That'll be, you know what?
24:59The data on who led the league and touches the year before, the data sucks, unless your
25:04name's Derrick Henry and he's the largest man that's ever walked the face of the planet.
25:08No, that is something worth keeping an eye on.
25:10Absolutely.
25:10I'm being serious.
25:13Yeah.
25:13And I know you're tapped in with the Eagles.
25:16Ah, they're fans.
25:18Front office, I'm not strong there.
25:20Sirianni hasn't invited you for dinner yet after the way you talk about him?
25:23No.
25:23Okay.
25:24No.
25:24I own an apology.
25:26Who?
25:26Sirianni?
25:27All right.
25:27I thought it was...
25:28Why don't we lead the show with that tomorrow?
25:29Okay.
25:30There we go.
25:30We can do that.
25:31Just say you want to go.
25:32I want to go.
25:33Wheel was fine today.
25:35I'm not in a bad mood at all.
25:37I was earlier, but it had nothing to do with you, Scott.
25:39You missed a bad mood.
25:40Did I miss it?
25:40I don't need...
25:41Oh, God.
25:43Oh, yeah.
25:44That was a bad mood.
25:45The eruption will not be televised.
25:47There you go.
25:47All right.
25:47I can't wait to hear all about it.
25:49You won't.
25:49You won't.
25:51Where was Wiggins?
25:52This goes in the same place as that.
25:54You'll never hear about it.
25:56Yeah.
25:57Yeah.
25:57Where won't you hear about Willard's bad day?
26:00Oh, 95 Saturday.
26:01Oh, my God.
26:01I'm an idiot.
26:02I'm an idiot.
26:03That's nothing.
26:06You won't.
