00:00The noise shook me.
00:03Now, back to Stiney and Guru on 95.7 The Game.
00:15What up, Dibbers?
00:16What's going on? How are you?
00:17Back to liquidate all assets.
00:19Don't act like you and I don't know how to get down in the studio.
00:22I mean, we absolutely can get on down.
00:25And, man, a lot, of course, to gamble on at all times,
00:29including we got the golf going, the U.S. Open.
00:31I saw you just put it on.
00:32Yeah, you got to put it on.
00:34And, you know, it's something that Mark and I are going to talk about.
00:36The interest level as a sports fan, how much is it tied to your gambling?
00:42Wow.
00:42Can I share a gambling story with you?
00:45So I'm paying attention to my man, Stiney,
00:47but the Mets had a game today against the Nationals,
00:49and I had the Mets run line.
00:51It's 4-0, top of the ninth.
00:54National score three.
00:55Oh, man.
00:56Like, help me.
00:58I'm bleeding, Divs.
00:59It's like, the reliever couldn't find the strike zone.
01:03Of course, they win, but the gamblers lose that had the run line.
01:07Yeah, and it's crazy about the run line,
01:09and for people who don't speak baseball or gambling,
01:11the run line is almost always one and a half.
01:13So if you're the favored team, then you're minus a run and a half.
01:18Well, in this Rockies series, the Giants have been laying two and a half
01:22on all these games because, you know, they're that much better.
01:26Everyone's that much better than the Rockies, so.
01:28Only last night did they cash that.
01:30Yeah, and you do get a better price laying the two and a half.
01:33No doubt.
01:33And the plus.
01:34Exactly.
01:34So you end up, or it was actually even money in game one,
01:37so it just depends on how it goes.
01:39And, you know, with the golf now,
01:40the in-round betting has gotten to be really competitive.
01:44So that's like in-game with basketball football,
01:47where you jump in and make your bet as the game has already started.
01:50Yeah, so you get to, like, the fifth hole, and it's a par four,
01:54and you've got three-way odds of birdie or better,
01:57make a par, or bogey or worse.
01:59And so you can bet on an individual golfer on an individual hole.
02:03Are you kidding me, Gibbs?
02:04Yeah, and get the immediate payoff therein.
02:07The microwave.
02:07And you can even bet on, like, will he hit the green in regulation?
02:12So on a par three, and there is one par three in this tournament
02:15that's really, really, really, really long,
02:18and so a lot of golfers aren't actually able to hit the green and hold it.
02:22So, you know, gambling, in-game gambling now is across basically all sports
02:28and all platforms.
02:29Yeah.
02:29I had a neighbor, I told Stine he had the Thunder last night.
02:32That didn't work out for him.
02:34No, good game, though.
02:35Yeah, good game.
02:35Really good game.
02:36Are you enjoying the finals?
02:37Because I think a lot of people throw rocks at it.
02:40That's fine.
02:41But if you love hoop or ball, you're in.
02:44You've got two competitive, deep, young teams
02:48who are going for something they've never had before.
02:50And this is kind of what will lead into Willard.
02:53And Stine and Willard are joining us.
02:55Because one thing we're going to talk about is the interest level
02:58ratcheting up when you've got action.
03:01And Mark, before the series, took the Pacers.
03:03I forgot that.
03:05So he's more activated than he probably otherwise would have been.
03:09So that was plus what?
03:10500?
03:11515.
03:11Look at his eyes.
03:13Yeah.
03:13Yeah.
03:14Dude, if you pull this off.
03:15I know.
03:16But what made you feel that?
03:17Well, okay.
03:19I'll be totally transparent on how the whole thing came.
03:21He thought you won.
03:22Because I, like, so the weekend before the finals start,
03:25I ended up doing two shows on Fox.
03:27They had me fill in for somebody, right?
03:29So I was with Ryan Hollins.
03:31Oh, okay.
03:31NBA player who is an analyst for the Rockets.
03:35And I kind of gave him the, like,
03:38I think that the Thunder closed out the Wolves that weekend.
03:42Okay.
03:43And we're just chit-chatting.
03:44And I'm like, dude, the Thunder,
03:46the Thunder winning the NBA championship this year.
03:48And he gives me a nod so fast, my friend.
03:51Oh, Lee Corson.
03:53So we start diving in.
03:55And I'm not going to say he convinced me otherwise.
03:58But he did enough to where I'm like, okay, look, I'm listening.
04:01And then I saw that number.
04:03Then I saw the number and I'm like.
04:04That's huge.
04:05Oh, that's kind of enticing.
04:07Then I do the show the next night with Ephraim.
04:10We start talking it out.
04:11And then I think I told you.
04:13So I'm walking to the Giants game, the day game last week on Thursday.
04:16Okay.
04:16I walk out there to do pregame and listen to Bommel in the dugout.
04:21And my phone rings.
04:22And it's Ephraim.
04:23We don't call each other.
04:25It's 2025.
04:26Who the hell calls each other?
04:27Nobody calls each other, especially in the middle of the week.
04:30I see his name pop up and I'm like, oh, hell,
04:33he's calling to tell me that he's quitting.
04:34Something big.
04:35Right?
04:36Yeah.
04:36So I couldn't answer it because I was doing something else.
04:39But then I go back and listen to the voicemail.
04:41And he's like, dude, the Pacers and Thunder are starting in three hours.
04:44Do we have action or not?
04:47Because whatever you want to pay, I'll match it.
04:50Let's go halfsies.
04:52Let's ride.
04:53And so.
04:54I need a friend like that.
04:55So we texted it out and came to a number because he was waiting for me to tell him the number
04:59because he's got a lot more money than I do.
05:01Okay.
05:01Got you.
05:01Got you.
05:01So he's like, whatever he's, he told me later, he goes, whatever you said, I was going to
05:05go with.
05:06If you had said 10 grand, let's go 10 grand.
05:08I didn't say 10 grand, but whatever.
05:11We put our little bet on Pacers to win.
05:14And yes, we will get a very good ROI if they win two more basketball games.
05:18And before you go, Stoddy and Dibbs, I got to tell you, one thing that has become clear
05:22to me is the Pacers have more players or more depth than the Thunder.
05:26Those are just facts.
05:29Well, these are the same conversations we had when the Pistons beat the Lakers to end
05:33the Kobe and Shaq era.
05:34But Kobe was not passed into Shaq.
05:36That was, you were there, but he was, that's why they lost.
05:40Well, no, they, they came apart at the seams from the inside out.
05:43They, they were, that group was done.
05:45Yes.
05:45There was so much acrimony.
05:47There were so many things going on inside that locker room and they were done.
05:50And a team like the Pistons was the perfect group to sort of like expose that.
05:55And I'm not saying anything's going on with the Thunder, but the Pacers, yeah, they kind
06:00of got that thing.
06:00Like they got a lot of different ways that they can come at you.
06:03Who's my man?
06:05Matherin.
06:06Matherin.
06:06Yeah.
06:06Last night.
06:08What was that?
06:09What did he score?
06:0927?
06:11Paul.
06:11Yeah.
06:11Nine for 12 from the floor.
06:13Yeah.
06:14Phenomenal.
06:14Before you jump in, I did none of the business end of the, hey, fellas, it's the crossover
06:20and all, you know, the reads and all the business that you handle.
06:22I didn't have the sheet, so Goo and I just jumped into it.
06:26So if you want to knock out some of the business and even throw in the legal while you're at
06:30it.
06:30That's my quarterback.
06:31Can I do it the legal six minutes before?
06:33By the time you get there, we'll be within five and you'll be fine.
06:36The crossover is brought to you by Abundant Life Weight Loss.

07:02Hey, did you rip me yesterday?
07:04Oh, boy.
07:05We heard.
07:07I don't even know what you're talking about.
07:08Something about a party date.
07:09It was, uh, yeah.
07:10Oh, yeah.
07:11Why did you text me that?
07:12I thought it was a cute move.
07:15I'm not guru.
07:16I'm not going to, like, let you sit here and poke at me for no reason and try to get
07:21me, like...
07:21Wow, Will.
07:22Wow, my point, right?
07:24Like, he does it to you all day.
07:25No, it was...
07:27You know what I'm saying?
07:27I'm like, you're all...
07:28Purdy looked great.
07:30McCaffrey's healthy.
07:31Shout out to him.
07:32He looks great.
07:33And this team...
07:34And I just...
07:35Yeah, you just watched.
07:37You said, hey, the vibes are great.
07:38You can tell.
07:39And I just...
07:40Three words.
07:42Four.
07:43Purdy threw three interceptions.
07:45Yeah, it's a lot more than three words.
07:47What did you say about him, No Wheel?
07:48I was trying to find the audio.
07:50I didn't even know if we had talked about him yet.
07:52That was my point.
07:53No, no.
07:54Stine.
07:55Oh.
07:57Yeah, if you don't remember, that was the audio I wanted.
08:00No, I pointed to you.
08:01I likened you to Austin in San Jose.
08:04Oh, my man.
08:05That's the game.
08:05One guy I can't stand.
08:07My man?
08:09He keeps on your toe.
08:10Everybody.
08:11But you were coming from the same place.
08:13It was like nobody even said anything about Brock Purdy.
08:16He's like, yeah, dude.
08:17It's June.
08:17And you're here.
08:18This is the exact text.
08:20It's at 245 yesterday.
08:23Purdy threw three INTs yesterday.
08:25But I want to know what you said about him.
08:27No content.
08:28Well, I don't know if you did.
08:30Like, I do remember calling him a moron in the crossover, but it was after you.
08:34Nice.
08:34That was to my face.
08:35No, we weren't here.
08:37So it wasn't to your face.
08:38Oh.
08:39It's because you were doing radio without your headset on.
08:42At the very end.
08:42Yes, and you were talking over everybody.
08:44Well, that's to get out of here.
08:45I know, but you were talking over everybody because you didn't know everyone else was talking.
08:48Oh, all right.
08:49Anyway, be nice to Guru.
08:51Hey, remember how last Wednesday I golfed and what happened to me on number 10 where I hit,
09:01couldn't find it, couldn't find it, couldn't find it, took a penalty, then found it and continued.
09:06Dude, I'll be a son of a, something happened yesterday on the same hole.
09:11Same hole, yeah.
09:11Number 10.
09:12Down wind.
09:13So get this.
09:15They, you know, I stopped to pick up some beverages after 9, so I'm late to the tee.
09:20No problem.
09:20And I get there, and they've teed off, and I get up to the tee box, and those Sam Traps are there.
09:28But you know what?
09:28I've made it over.
09:30If I hit it good, I can make it over.
09:31And I go up to the tee box dibs, and I hit a great drive, and bloop, it goes right into
09:39the sand.
09:40And I'm like, I thought I killed that.
09:43We were playing the combos.
09:46That's a white tee.
09:48We played it from the blue.
09:51It gets over if I hit from the white.
09:54Yeah.
09:54I just played it.
09:56Oh, we're talking about your golf game.
09:58Thanks, Bill.
09:59That should be, I mean, if you were going to be Sammy Stickler, that is at least a one-stroke
10:05penalty from playing from the wrong teeing area.
10:08Right, right.
10:08I think it is one stroke.
10:10When you, like, even if you're on the correct tee box, and you're more than two club lengths
10:14behind the actual pegs that are in the ground, that's a penalty.
10:19One that I would never and have never taken.
10:21But Sammy Stickler over here, I hope you added that to your tidy little 86.
10:26No, I didn't.
10:27I just played it out of the sand.
10:28That's what I did.
10:29So you're like everybody else on this planet.
10:31Selective morality.
10:33You just basically died.
10:34You know what?
10:35You're right.
10:35You're a stickler sometimes, and other times you're like, whatever.
10:38Make it an 87.
10:39Yep.
10:39But I signed it already, so is that another penalty?
10:42Yes, it is.
10:42In fact, it is.
10:4389.
10:44It's going to be 112 by the time we're done with this segment.
10:46And just real quick about signing your card.
10:48In this day and age where every shot on tour is shot linked and recorded and seen, do we
10:55really need to have these guys actually sign their card?
10:58I'm stuck on, do you actually sign your, okay, thank God.
11:02Are you signing a card after us?
11:03Even when we go to the tourney in a few weeks, I don't think we exchange cards.
11:08Like, we just keep our own, and it's the honor system.
11:11But if you play an actual NCGA event, you swap cards with the other people.
11:15For sure.
11:15For sure you do.
11:16Yeah.
11:17How you doing over there, Gu?
11:17I'm fine.
11:18What's going on?
11:19Nobody cares about the golf game.
11:22Well, I know.
11:22That's why I asked you what you were doing.
11:24I don't.
11:25No, but what are you doing?
11:26Because everybody cares.
11:26Listening to this gibberish.
11:29What do you want to talk about?
11:30Like, he knows nobody cares.
11:31Nobody cares.
11:32What do you want to talk about?
11:33One person does.
11:33Who?
11:34Me.
11:35Well, that's true.
11:37Yep.
11:37There it is.
11:38The old, the three worst words in the English language.
11:41I, me, mine.
11:43Oh, did you hear Gu?
11:44I, me, mine.
11:45Did you hear Gu came up with one?
11:47Uh, Angel Reese's rebounds.
11:51Why don't you tell him that one?
11:52I called him me-bounds.
11:55Because she's getting all her misses.
11:58She's so entertaining in spite of herself.
12:00No, no, right.
12:01There we go.
12:02I was a little rough on her yesterday, but still, man.
12:05The digital content that is now being created, the imitations of her game.
12:09I'm sorry.
12:10Oh, so you've seen it.
12:11That's fine.
12:11Yeah, study show would be one we couldn't stop laughing.
12:13Yeah, and I'm not going to, I'm not going to get into all the, like.
12:16I got you, because it's inappropriate or whatever.
12:18It's funny.
12:19That's all.
12:19It's funny.
12:20So, we played a game before the crossover.
12:24Yeah, I heard about it.
12:25Yeah, like, how much do you think?
12:26He said they did it just a couple decades ago.
12:29The baseball version.
12:29Did you go down, like, through it like that?
12:31Like, Toronto.
12:32How many had coaches in your day?
12:34And we would task a league.
12:36In hoops or baseball?
12:37Yeah, we did.
12:37He had NFL.
12:39I had baseball.
12:40I will come in last place.
12:42NFL, I could do pretty well.
12:44I think that's good.
12:45I think I could do pretty well in the NFL.
12:47Baseball managers.
12:50I think I could name 15.
12:52I go, I'm going to set the over 100 to about 8.
12:54How many did you get?
12:55Well, it's not how many did I get.
12:56It's when I went to Wikipedia and looked at the list.
12:59How many did I still not know?
13:01Of the 30, I looked, and there was, like, 6 or 7 where I was like,
13:05that can't even be a real person.
13:07And there was 4 or 5.
13:08I was like, oh, that's right.
13:10And then, you know, 6 or 7 that were, like, easy, rock solid.
13:14You get them.
13:14And then other ones, like, yeah, Bud Black in Colorado.
13:17Oh, no, he got fired.
13:18Yeah, we had a few of them.
13:20I have Bud Black.
13:21If you went down outside right now and just walked downtown San Francisco
13:25and the question was, who's the manager of the Marlins?
13:27How many blocks are you going before someone has the answer?
13:30You're going to have to pay a toll.
13:32No doubt.
13:32I was going to say, after you get to Miami.
13:35I mean, honestly.
13:36No doubt.
13:37I don't know that now.
13:38And we've played this game twice this week.
13:40Is that good or bad for the sport?
13:42I don't think it's good.
13:43Yeah, it's not great.
13:44It, like, it does feel like some of these,
13:47some of the sports now are missing personalities.
13:51Yeah.
13:52That's why Deion was so great for college football.
13:54Mm-hmm.
13:55You know what I mean?
13:56Like, you know, like, you can stand by that.
13:58No, I love who that is.
14:00And I get it.
14:01And I see it and all that.
14:02You know what I mean?
14:02There's probably a lot of people in the Bay who know who the head coach
14:05of Colorado is more so than the Stanford and Cal coach.
14:08Yeah, we, when we were divvying up the sports,
14:11I did not want baseball.
14:13Oh, no chance.
14:14And who took baseball, which is, I think, by far the hardest.
14:17I had the NFL.
14:18I did okay, a little over half.
14:21I'm proud of you.
14:22And Evan did great on basketball.
14:24He only missed, like, four.
14:25Oh, God.
14:26Four or five.
14:26Really?
14:27Washington.
14:28The Wizards?
14:29Yeah.
14:29No clue.
14:30Charlotte.
14:31Great.
14:32Orlando?
14:33Nope.
14:34And there was one more.
14:35Oh, is that Bickerstaff?
14:37No, he's Detroit.
14:37That's Detroit.
14:38Yeah, I've got Bickerstaff.
14:41I can't remember.
14:42Give him one more.
14:43Yeah, there was one more.
14:44It was New Orleans?
14:46No, he got Willie Green.
14:47It might have been Memphis, because he also was doing stuff like Sacramento.
14:53They are vacant.
14:55No.
14:55Oh, no.
14:56Okay, Doug Christian.
14:56That's right, he got it.
14:57He got the...
14:58The guy in Memphis is, like, Il Jonas.
15:01The male model.
15:02Yeah.
15:02The Finnish guy.
15:04He's Finnish.
15:05Yeah.
15:05Yes, absolutely.
15:06I play this game, and when people tell me the answer, I don't know if they're lying to
15:09me or not.
15:10Will.
15:10I have no clue who these people are.
15:12So we come in, we're in the green room, and I remember and say to myself, oh, we got the
15:16game, so here's my pad, take out, forgot my pen in the caddy.
15:21So I just, I'm playing a game with myself.
15:23I'm not cheating, Willard.
15:25So I'm saying inside my head, okay, who's the ace coach?
15:28And Evan jumps up in front of study.
15:30Guru's cheated.
15:32Well, I wasn't copying from a list.
15:34I was just starting to process early.
15:35You were writing it down from memory.
15:37And they were so hurt.
15:39From memory on the computer.
15:40Wow.
15:41It wasn't on the computer.
15:42There was no computer up.
15:44The guru computer was working, and then I was writing it down scribbling.
15:47There's a lot of computers.
15:48Yeah.
15:49Yeah.
15:49How'd you guys enjoy yesterday?
15:51There's this, very much so, but one more thing on that.
15:54We went over this one time before.
15:57This very subject came up once before.
15:59Do you remember?
16:00You ain't trying.
16:00And you, like, remember?
16:02And you had gone to the internet.
16:04Oh, yeah.
16:05Yeah.
16:06Yeah.
16:06I got caught then.
16:07Okay.
16:07Yeah.
16:08This sounds different.
16:09Thank you, Will.
16:10No, this is.
16:11He knows.
16:12Yesterday was a lot of fun.
16:14I got to get there.
16:15TV's everywhere?
16:16Well, not anymore, because now they're dormant for a month.
16:19He's talking about Laughing Monk.
16:21Oh, yeah.
16:22Laughing Monk's amazing.
16:23What were you talking about?
16:24I thought you were talking about Niners Camp.
16:26Niners, yeah.
16:26Yeah.
16:28We got to go there.
16:29The Laughing Monk restaurant?
16:31Yeah.
16:31No, Laughing Monk was incredible.
16:33The food was good.
16:34Wow.
16:35And I loved, like, you don't really walk into a room, and you're just like, oh, it feels
16:40good in here.
16:41Every casino I'm in here.
16:43TVs are good.
16:44I liked it there.
16:46Nice big bar.
16:47A lounge area right inside the bar, so you don't have to sit at the bar.
16:51There's some high-top tables outside of that.
16:53Big indoor restaurant.
16:54Back room that is, it's only private if you rent it out.
16:59And then a lovely patio, which kind of spills out into a, not quite a lake, but it's more
17:04than a pond.
17:05I guess it'd be a plake, because it's...
17:07I don't know.
17:08It's a big, man-made body of water that's right behind, you look out the window, and
17:13it's right there.
17:14If there are fish in there, someone bought them.
17:16Gotcha.
17:17It's kind of that vibe.
17:19But it was nice.
17:19I love it.
17:20It's super great.
17:21You got to get out there starting.
17:22Yeah.
17:22No doubt.
17:23And Christian McCaffrey looks really healthy.
17:24Mm.
17:26Really healthy.
17:26Well, and we had Matt Barrows on today at noon and kind of just, you know, ran down the
17:31list of, you know, the nuggets or the bullet points.
17:36And it's funny, because I played the McCaffrey sound about how he's feeling good, and it just
17:41hit me like, well, that's what it's all about.
17:43I mean, he's got to be healthy.
17:44Yeah.
17:45Like, that's, to me, and I was telling Goo, in a way, I feel like I know what more to
17:51expect, or I know what to expect out of Purdy more than McCaffrey right now.
17:57That's fair.
17:58I also, though, I was mindful, and you guys, Guru, you'll remember this better than I,
18:03really, it felt like he went down two years in a row with Carolina.
18:07Yeah, right.
18:08After he was probably the number one or two fantasy football pick.
18:12Yeah.
18:12And then he went down twice in a row, and the whole world was so scarred by that.
18:17Forgot about him.
18:17That they left him for dead, and he came right back and was like the best player in the league
18:23again.
18:23We saw it.
18:24And I sort of feel like that's what we're about to look at.
18:28If you ask people outside the building, oh, what about McCaffrey?
18:32The world is shrugging their shoulders like, I don't know what the hell's about.
18:35If you ask people over there right now, they're like, he's in perfect health.
18:39Yeah.
18:39And the syndicate would be, and I told Stani this.
18:42I hear that, because I still am scarred for that Monday night game.
18:45We were all out there, and then the news was like, he's not playing.
18:48After he said, how does he get up from the car accident after he's tackled?
18:53And that may have nothing to do with anything, but Dibs, that's where I'm at.
18:57Those collisions and guys falling on you, that's when all kind of know, okay, he's popping right
19:04back up, and everything's good.
19:05Yeah, three games and seven games were those back-to-back years you referenced, and then
19:10last year was four games.
19:11And so, you know, you could talk about injury prone, but Mark said this before, football's
19:15100% injury rate.
19:17And last year's knee injury was just, it was not a freak accident, but it wasn't one of
19:22those big impacts, and it's just the kind of injury that takes you out.
19:26But you're right, Stiney, about the McCaffrey import and all this.
19:31I was looking at all the Shanahan years, and when they're top seven or better in rushing,
19:36they go to the playoffs, and they go deep.
19:38And when they're not, they don't play well enough to go out there and win.
19:42Last year was a good example.
19:44Yeah, I'm more interested, I'm less interested in the injury than, well, how are they going
19:50to kind of handle him?
19:51Because, I'd forgotten this, but it was just two years ago when, remember, we were saying,
19:58Kyle, get McCaffrey out of there.
20:00You know, we're up 28-7 with seven minutes to go.
20:05And also, if he's saying right now, hey, I'm healthy.
20:10Okay, so then do you proceed exactly like you've proceeded from this point on till the season
20:18opener, or do you do something a little bit different because you are starting to think,
20:26we got to keep this guy healthy.
20:28I mean, he's two years older than he was last time Kyle did that with him.
20:31So maybe that comes into account.
20:33Maybe there's also people behind him that Kyle trusts a little bit more.
20:37They like Garendo.
20:38They like Isaac Garendo.
20:39I see why.
20:40Yeah.
20:40And he looked really good, I thought, yesterday, too.
20:43And so, yeah, like if I had to predict the whole workhorse thing, the 25 touches or whatever.
20:50There was no Mason.
20:51Yeah.
20:51No, but they like Garendo.
20:53No doubt.
20:53He's their Mason.
20:54And they drafted some people, and Patrick Taylor's still there and all, like, whatever.
20:59But, yeah, it feels like maybe they try to shave five touches a game off or something, right?
21:04Like, I kind of like the idea of, and you can't do it every time, but, you know,
21:09McCaffrey plays for three quarters, and then maybe you change it up in the fourth quarter.
21:14Now, obviously, if you're in a close game, you're probably not going to do that.
21:18But I've always been fascinated, Dibs, by the soccer, where you'll have a really good player,
21:24and you'll let them play, you know, eight-tenths of the game.
21:28And then it gets late, and you just bring a fresh guy in.
21:32And I guess the thinking is a guy who hasn't played at all is going to be able to give you
21:36that last ten minutes better than a guy who's played the whole game.
21:38It's situational in soccer, and in football, I do think you want to build those breaks in
21:44earlier in the game that way.
21:46True.
21:46If you do get to the fourth quarter and you need a player, then they might be a little bit fresher.
21:51Two years ago, he led football in touches with 339, which is 21 a game.
21:57I remember Kyle was like, I don't care about how many touches he can blow.
22:00I'm blowing past it, and I get it.
22:01And they did, and they went all the way to the Super Bowl
22:03because he also led football in total yards from scrimmage.
22:07So his touches were really good touches, and it's tempting because even though you like
22:13Garendo, he's not as good as Christian McCaffrey, and he's also not the same two-way threat
22:18as McCaffrey.
22:19So if McCaffrey's in the huddle, you have to worry about where he breaks the huddle and
22:24goes.
22:25Garendo's probably not going to go into the slot and beat you as a receiver just yet.
22:29Yeah.
22:29So the scheme changes too.
22:32Schematically, McCaffrey gives you that edge just by being out there.
22:36Because this time last year, duh, them coming off that Super Bowl in overtime that I believe
22:41they should have won for the second time, I'll leave that there, I knew or felt like I know
22:46who they are, and I expect them right back.
22:49So now I'm excited in a way of just like, is that still who they kind of are?
22:54Reinvented themselves a little bit.
22:55Nothing to see here.
22:57Or, you know, are we in a different iteration of the team to where, you know, six wins was
23:02their night.
23:03They're going to blow past six.
23:04But you know what I mean?
23:05Are they going to be in the off?
23:07And if I had to bet, I'm staying here.
23:09Yes.
23:10Yes.
23:11If they're blessed with any health at all, they win at least 10 of those games.
23:18Like, good God.
23:19Yeah.
23:20That's one of my classics.
23:21You would think.
23:22You would like, and you know what, a conversation I was having this morning that I think people
23:27forget, and I know fans don't like to do this because it feels like, you know, people just
23:32are so allergic to, oh, that's an excuse or whatever.
23:36Everything with the Niners last year was so heavy.
23:40Charveria's kids, Trent Williams' kids, Brandon's deal, Super Bowl hangover, Williams' holdout.
23:49But there was, you know, just...
23:52Devondre Quitbull.
23:53Devondre, Mick Bosa's hat.
23:56You mentioned Pearsall even?
23:57No, Pearsall.
23:58Oh, wow.
23:58Everything was so heavy.
24:01Heavy.
24:02And I just...
24:03I mean, could that happen again?
24:05Sure, it could.
24:07But I doubt it.
24:08I doubt it.
24:09But I think that's what, that's kind of what, just the weight of all of that broke them
24:13last year.
24:14I don't foresee that happening again.
24:16Yeah, and opposing offenses also broke them.
24:18Yeah.
24:18And I'm trying to put this all to bed last year, and I have all my handwritten game notes
24:23and the play-by-play.
24:24Oh, you keep those?
24:25Well, I do.
24:26Do you?
24:27I do.
24:28Where do you keep them?
24:29I have a locker.
24:31Here?
24:31I keep them in my locker, yeah.
24:32Yeah, I know you have a locker here.
24:33But don't you do that at home?
24:36I do, and then I bring it in, and I reference it throughout the week, and then I keep them
24:40for reasons like today, when Stiney was talking about the games that they ostensibly blew.
24:47Yeah.
24:47And so I was just going through some of the notes, and we've talked about it before,
24:50the Ram game, where Tutu Atwell gets a 50-yard catch, they blow a lead, they give up 10
24:56points in six minutes.
24:56Cardinal game at home.
24:58James Conner running roughshod, and then the Geno Smith drive in Seattle, so...
25:03Damn.
25:04Hearing you earlier, I'm like, you know what, I'm going to bring out the notes one more
25:06time.
25:07They might go in the recycler today, because at some point, you've got to let it go.
25:11At some point, yeah.
25:12Damn, James.
25:12Like, how many years of packets do you have in there?
25:15This is just last year.
25:16Where's the year before go?
25:17I didn't keep the year before.
25:19Why'd you keep this year?
25:20Because I thought...
25:21And how do you get a locker?
25:23A locker, Stiney.
25:25Yeah, lockers.
25:26When we moved into the new building, we have about half as many lockers as we used to,
25:30and so you had to claim them early.
25:32And I got my little combination lock on there.
25:34Snoozy Looze.
25:35Yeah.
25:35Look at Grandy.
25:36This is the most serious thing ever.
25:37You have a locker when no one else even knows they're a lockers.
25:40When you've been with a company for 14 years, and, you know...
25:44Most of them.
25:45Well, 13 of the 14.
25:46Yeah, that's most of them.
25:47That's exactly right.
25:48So there's certain perks that come along with being the OG.
25:51How many fanny packs do you own?
25:53Uh, I own one.
25:55Okay.
25:55One.
25:56And I use it for all my referee supplies.
25:58I don't know why I asked that, but just, like, keeping last year's notes gave me fanny pack energy.
26:02The fanny pack is back, by the way.
26:04I know it is.
26:04The pack is back.
26:06Yeah.
26:06It never went anywhere.
26:07You know why?
26:08Because Rick Barry never eschewed his.
26:11Gotcha.
26:12Rick Barry loves that.
26:15What's it called again?
26:16A fanny pack.
26:17A fanny pack.
26:17Yeah.
26:18He loves it.
26:18Are you going anywhere?
26:20When?
26:21God.
26:22You are undefeated on missing when someone sets the table for you.
26:27Will you sit down and eat, please?
26:29I said, are you going anywhere?
26:33Yes, but I'll be leaving from 95-7.
26:36The game?
26:37What did I miss?
26:38Yeah, no, that was...
26:39Yeah, you missed the lob.
26:40Yeah, we're trying to let you go.
26:42But, I mean, you can stay.
26:44No, now you're going.
26:45All right.
26:46Goodbye.
