42- The Prayer That Beat the Scale! روحانيات رمضان (4) - الدعاء الذي هزم الميزان!

00:00May the peace, blessings, and mercy of God be upon you

00:06Our story today is about a poor woman.

00:10Her husband has been bedridden for months.

00:13She has three children

00:15They are visiting on Eid day and there is no food in the house to feed their children and their bedridden husband.

00:23He stayed up all night thinking and didn't know what to do.

00:27As soon as the night passes, pray and ask God to grant her from His abundant provision.

00:33The next day she went to a small shop and asked the shopkeeper to give her what God had given him.

00:43What she feeds her children and her paralyzed husband

00:47The shopkeeper asked her if she had any money.

00:51She said, "I only have a piece of paper on which I wrote my prayer last night."

00:57The woman handed the paper to the man.

01:00The man read her supplication in which she asked God to grant her from His bounty.

01:05He laughed and said to her sarcastically, “If I put her on the scale and take everything that weighs from her, your prayer will be taken away.”

01:14The lady did not hesitate and actually put the room on the scale, to the man's astonishment.

01:23The man continued laughing and put down a carton of milk. He was surprised that the scale did not move.

01:33He put some fruit, but the scale did not move.

01:38He put some vegetables and the scale did not shake at all

01:43The man was surprised and did not understand what was going on.

01:47But he was afraid to continue putting more of his merchandise.

01:52He said to the woman, "I don't know what happened."

01:55But it seems that if I put all the store's merchandise, the scale will not move.

02:02And because I am a man of my word, you may have whatever food you like.

02:09The woman took as much food as she needed to suffice her and her poor neighbors.

02:16She left, thanking God for his generosity.

02:20The man was shocked by what had happened.

02:23Unable to believe or explain what happened

02:28He examined the scale carefully and discovered that there was a slight defect in the scale.

02:35He fixed it easily.

02:38But he kept wondering

02:39Why did the scale break down at that particular time?

02:43What made the woman come to his store?

02:47And with her is the paper on which she wrote her prayer.

02:51As if she was sure that she would return with her food

02:57The story is over

02:59Although it is just a fictional story, many people may not believe it happened.

03:06However, reality shows more than that.

03:10This lady called upon God, certain of the answer.

03:17In the lives of many of us, there are situations in which we called upon God sincerely and God answered them.

03:23Things happened that seemed like miracles.

03:27But it happened with the power and blessing of prayer.

03:31God Almighty says

03:33Call upon me and I will answer you

03:36This is the promise God made to himself.

03:39And then came

03:40Those who are too arrogant to worship Me

03:44They will enter Hell in humiliation.

03:46It was mentioned in the noble hadith

03:49Supplication is worship

03:51Praying for him has all this great status

03:55Because when you pray sincerely

03:57One is closest to God

04:01And most of what is connected to it

04:03There is pleasure in the servant’s humility in his supplication.

04:07He doesn't know her

04:09Except for those who call upon God with sincerity, supplication and humility

04:14Remember your Lord in yourself, humbly and fearfully.

04:18God loves those who are persistent in supplication.

04:21And the supplication of a heedless heart is not answered by God

04:26As mentioned in the hadith

04:27This is why the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to pray:

04:32O Allah, I seek refuge in You from knowledge that is of no benefit.

04:36And a heart that does not fear

04:37And from a soul that is never satisfied

04:39And a prayer that is not answered

04:42And he, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:

04:44Cook your restaurant and your prayers will be answered

04:48Happy Ramadan

04:50May the peace, blessings, and mercy of God be upon you

04:52Think about your homework

04:56As you think of your right

04:59Work to achieve perfection

05:02Not seeking fame or reward

05:05Do not expect more from people than they have the right to expect from you.
