00:00You and I kind of agree on Duggar.
00:02I'm not really the biggest fan, even going back to when he got drafted.
00:05He is a physical safety, but with so many teams throwing at tight ends
00:09and things like that, he can be a liability at times.
00:11However, why are you cutting him?
00:14Is he trying to save money?
00:15Like, you have all the money.
00:16You have all the money in the world to spend,
00:18so I don't really know what the point would be.
00:19If he's going to be a depth player, is he going to be happy with that?
00:22You know, I'm not saying he's Rafi Devers,
00:24but, like, if he's going to be a depth player and Woodson's outplaying it,
00:28like, who do you like better – let's rewind for a second.
00:30Who do you like better as a player, Peppers or Duggar?
00:33Peppers.
00:33Okay.
00:34But right now I like Duggar more than Woodson.
00:37Well, but it depends on how you want to play defense, right?
00:40I mean, are Duggar and Peppers – is that a good safety combination?
00:43That feels like two guys who are very similar,
00:45two guys who are better coming forward than going back.
00:48Woodson's supposed to be more of a free safety, McCourty type, if you will,
00:52high-end comp.
00:53But he's supposed to be more – so the fit defensively might be better
00:56with Woodson and Peppers or Woodson and Duggar
01:00because Peppers and Duggar play a similar game.
01:03So if Duggar is going to be phased out to a degree,
01:06is he the kind of guy who's going to buy in?
01:08Is he going to be happy with that?
01:09What can you get for him via trade?
01:10I wouldn't want to necessarily outright cut him.
01:12That's what I'm saying.
01:13Lawyer Malloy style.
01:14Right, right.
01:14But if you can get something for him via trade, yeah, I understand that.
01:19And if you're playing Woodson and Peppers more and that's your safety combo
01:22going forward and there isn't a spot for Duggar, I don't mind trading him.
01:25I would feel worse about outright cutting him.
01:28I'm not even a big fan of his game.
01:29Yeah, no, and neither am I.
01:31So it's weird for me to defend him.
01:33But it's also like this team doesn't have a lot of talent.
01:35We just went through all the exercises before about top ten in each position,
01:39also receiving votes, all that stuff.
01:41They're not super talented.
01:42He might be one of their ten or twelve best players if you're just going through
01:46like in a vacuum each position.
01:47Like where are they grade?
01:49Well, again, he was one of the guys getting votes at the safety position, right?
01:52Which Peppers did not.
01:53You're not like, you know, cutting Lawyer Malloy, but here comes Rodney Harrison.
01:57Like you're cutting Kyle Duggar or trading Kyle Duggar even.
02:01You're waiting on that draft pick.
02:02You're hoping that Woodson steps up.
02:03But look, I think that's a similar situation.
02:06I mean, those guys are way more high end, but there was redundancy with Malloy and Harrison.
02:12And they brought in a rookie in Eugene Wilson.
02:14And maybe there are some parallels there where, you know, Vrabel lived through this.
