My bad.
00:01
When I was in Toronto, or when I was in Toronto,
00:04
I was told that you can't pronounce a T.
00:06
Like, it's super offensive.
00:08
So, Toronto!
00:13
Hey, y'all.
00:14
I'm Wynn the Wipe, and this is my first friggin' Amy.
00:20
First artist I ever fell in love with was Mr. Todd Childress.
00:23
He's a modern country artist.
00:25
Someone I've always looked up to,
00:26
lyricism, melodies, everything.
00:28
I just really love the way he writes,
00:30
and I feel that a lot of the way I write
00:32
is coming from his music, too.
00:33
So yeah, Todd Childress is definitely one of the first artists
00:35
I've ever fell in love with.
00:40
First concert I ever got to go to was Mr. Wyatt Flores.
00:44
Big fan of Wyatt Flores.
00:45
I've always been following him
00:46
since his first journey of music.
00:48
Got to go to his concert in Tulsa, Oklahoma,
00:51
at Canes Ballroom.
00:52
It's a crazy experience, and I hope someday
00:55
that I get to play that venue
00:56
so I can have that full circle moment.
00:57
Seeing one of my favorite artists to claim
01:00
or one of my favorite artists play.
01:05
First headline show that I ever played
01:06
was actually my own hometown.
01:08
Well, close to my hometown.
01:09
I was in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
01:10
I'm from Hackett, Arkansas,
01:11
so it's just a hot skip and a jump away.
01:14
You know, it was crazy,
01:15
as I had never known how big my name was in Arkansas.
01:19
I mean, I passed my people.
01:20
Nobody could really recognize me,
01:21
but I played there and people wanted me to sign the boots.
01:24
I signed foreheads.
01:25
That was really crazy.
01:27
Bellies, it was really weird,
01:29
but it was a great time nonetheless.
01:30
So yeah, definitely.
01:31
It was a Fayetteville Arkansas, the first time.
01:37
First song that I finished writing
01:38
was Everything in the Sun.
01:40
It was actually the very first song I ever got to put out.
01:42
We recorded that in the rep room in my house.
01:44
We brought a producer up there
01:47
and he just had a couple of mics out there.
01:48
I didn't know the lyrics that well,
01:50
but when we got through it,
01:51
and yeah, it was the very first song
01:53
we ever actually got to put out.
01:54
It was the very first song I ever finished,
01:55
called Everything in the Sun.
02:01
First song I had awards in the recording studio
02:03
was with my buddy, Mr. Baggy Blankenship.
02:06
We did Jailbreak and Sunday Stuff.
02:08
It was two songs we collabed on,
02:10
and we did those over in Nashville, Tennessee
02:12
at a friend of ours, Brett Truett,
02:14
and he produced other songs for us,
02:16
and it was a great time.
02:17
First time ever getting exposed to the producing
02:20
and like studio limelight,
02:21
so it was really cool to get over there
02:22
getting to witness all that
02:24
and watching an artist at his craft.
02:30
First time I was ever recognized in public.
02:32
So what I can remember was in a Walmart,
02:35
because you know, Arkansas,
02:36
we're pretty big on them things.
02:38
Walmart's, yeah, I mean, that's where we come from,
02:40
so it's Walmart's and songs
02:41
is what we're really big on the 94.
02:42
So yeah, I think a Walmart, I was shopping,
02:45
and I was just with my fan room or something,
02:48
and two girls just run up to me,
02:50
and they're like, can I help you?
02:53
But they're just, you're way in the wild.
02:55
I was like, that I am, let me beat you.
02:57
Because you know, when you're out,
02:58
I like to say when you're out in the wild,
03:00
you don't really recognize or remember who you are in a way.
03:03
So like, I'm just going with my family.
03:04
I think I'm an old guy, which I am an old guy,
03:07
but like, I forget that my name is somewhat known to people.
03:10
So yeah, it was crazy.
03:12
It was the first time I was over at a Walmart.
03:18
First thing I'm going to do when I finish the tour
03:20
is catch up on my sleep schedule.
03:21
I'm pretty bad at sleeping on time.
03:23
I'm really bad at falling asleep on my phone in my hands,
03:27
and it does and all.
03:29
So yeah, definitely catch up on a few hours of sleep.
03:31
I'm definitely going to go hang out with a few friends of mine
03:33
and I'll catch up on some good times.
03:35
I like to keep a few good friends that are counting on my hand.
03:37
That's like, that's how I've always kept it.
03:39
You know, I've never really ventured out to that space.
03:42
So I'm glad that I only have a few good friends back home,
03:45
but yeah, it doesn't mean catch up
03:46
on with two friends back home too.
03:52
First, I'm always over starstruck.
03:54
Honestly, I've met quite a few artists
03:56
that I've always looked up to,
03:57
but I've never been really starstruck.
03:58
Now, if I were ever to meet Todd Shooters
04:01
or if Hank Williams Sr. was to rise back from his grave
04:04
and come and meet with me,
04:06
that's the moment that I probably just,
04:08
my jaw would drop to the floor
04:10
and I'd have a heart attack, something like that.
04:12
Or I'd just drop to my knees or, oh no, where are you?
04:14
You know, it is just,
04:15
those two are the ones I've always
04:17
completely looked up to for sure.
04:23
First childhood memory.
04:25
First childhood memory.
04:26
Climbing a 25-foot flagpole at seven years old.
04:30
In my memory, it's really not the best,
04:32
but I remember climbing a 25-foot flagpole
04:35
to put a flag up in the pole at seven years old,
04:38
which was probably not the safest thing.
04:40
Now, I don't remember exactly
04:42
there being any parental guidance along my side.
04:45
So yeah, we really got up to no good when I was younger.
04:49
So, yeah, crazy.
04:55
First pet, first pet I do recall
04:57
was this dog named Frank.
04:59
He had the floppiest ear too.
05:01
Black floppy ears and his eyes would sag.
05:03
So he walked everywhere, he just looked depressed,
05:05
but he had long legs.
05:07
So kind of look like a skinwalker when he's running at you.
05:09
It's kind of scary in a way.
05:11
He was always up to no good.
05:12
He would take the trash from other peoples
05:14
because we didn't have trash cans back when we had him,
05:18
and he would always take the trash bags
05:19
and he'd just walk up and down the street
05:21
and drag it along, and then a hole would bust out of it,
05:24
and he'd just, it's trash,
05:25
and we'd spread out across the street.
05:27
Other people hated us.
05:28
That dog's long gone.
05:29
I think people are blah-blah-blah-blah,
05:30
but I ain't really blah-blah.
05:32
He was a good dog, man, the best.
05:37
First text that I sent this for him,
05:39
I don't really quite remember if I sent any texts.
05:41
Oh, well, I did.
05:42
There was something about food.
05:43
I'm a big bag.
05:44
We had a photo shoot earlier,
05:46
so there was something about,
05:47
is there going to be food on the side for us?
05:49
So, yeah, definitely.
05:51
Always hungry.
05:56
First international trip.
05:57
First place I've been,
05:59
like the furthest from my home state was Canada.
06:02
Or when I was in Toronto,
06:04
I was told that you can't pronounce a T,
06:06
like it's super offensive.
06:07
So Toronto, I was in Toronto.
06:09
Had a headline show there.
06:11
It's about 800 people.
06:12
It was probably one of the biggest
06:13
item on the show to date.
06:14
So, yeah, it was awesome there.
06:16
We got to catch a hockey game,
06:17
which I'm not the biggest in sports,
06:18
but it was a great time nonetheless.
06:19
And it was the Maple Leafs hockey game.
06:21
And apparently they're known for like losing,
06:23
but they're also known for their fans
06:24
just always be encouraging.
06:26
Like they know that they're going to lose
06:27
at the end of the night,
06:28
and they still are just up and at it the whole time.
06:32
So it was a really great time.
06:37
My first dream job was a baseball,
06:40
a professional baseball player,
06:41
and which was a horrible first dream job.
06:44
Cause I am not athletic whatsoever.
06:46
Don't like, I'm somewhat in shape.
06:49
And don't let that fool you.
06:51
I was not good at sports whatsoever.
06:52
I played basketball, football, baseball, and track,
06:54
but I sat benched in every single one of them.
06:57
Track, I was always left to do the mile and track.
07:00
Like everybody else would get to do the cool ones.
07:02
And I was there just out of breath at the very end of it.
07:04
It was not fun whatsoever.
07:05
I put that pretty early on.
07:07
Football and baseball were probably my favorites,
07:09
and I absolutely sucked those up too.
07:11
Professional baseball player was definitely a problem,
07:13
of course, dream job.
07:15
Thanks for watching my first enemy.
07:17
I'm Willie Y.
07:17
God bless y'all.
07:18
Thank you so much.
07:19
I hope you enjoyed it.
