00:00What does it mean to you to be able to be back at Glastonbury headlining the park stage?

00:03It's the first time my son's gonna see me sing, definitely on a stage anyway,

00:08so that's exciting for me and also just Glastonbury is such another world

00:13you don't have to connect it too much to anything else it can just be this standalone bizarre

00:20moment and I mean yeah lots of quite good answers there not one.

00:26I loved all those answers. Me too, it's great. I genuinely loved all of them and that's really true,

00:32I think we just feel like we want to really appreciate what it is, you know these things

00:36so we're just going to try and really grasp it and really live inside it. Yeah you mentioned

00:41a tour there, you started off with a charity gig in London last week, how was that being back on

00:45stage together for the very first time in eight years? We're doing it for MS Society which was a

00:50thing that's important to us and when we did the last Maccabee shows we did a gig for MS Society again

00:54so that just felt right. I was finding that on stage I was in like a split second I was euphoric

01:00and then I was actually crying. It felt amazing, I haven't felt like that for a very long time.

01:04I found that that first show I had sort of norovirus or something so I was just on survival mode

01:12so I missed all the crying, I was just sort of desperate not to be sick.

01:16What does the response that you've had at these shows mean to you?

01:19It is a weirdly complicated sort of emotional experience so that the more you can simplify it,

01:28the more that I've been able to simplify it, the easier it's felt and the better it's felt.

01:32Yeah well another emotional night coming, thank you so much for talking to me in a good way.
