00:00In Western New York, in Orchard Park, James Cook shows up for the Buffalo Bills in negotiations
00:06to get his second deal with the Bills in the final year of his rookie contract.
00:11Terry McCorin did not show up for the Commanders, now holding out,
00:16trying to look for that third contract with Washington.
00:19Yeah, and you know what? Get your money when you can in the NFL.
00:24You don't get to play 25 years as if it's Tom Brady in some anomaly here.
00:27You typically have that one chance to strike.
00:30It's the last contract or big contract we're probably going to see for Terry McLaurin.
00:34And he wants his money and understands, hey, Washington, you got some money that you could throw around
00:38before this quarterback is going to break the bank and get his $50, $60, $70 million a year contract in a couple years.
00:44And also, he is a team leader. He is a good guy. He's been there throughout his career.
00:48They love him in Washington.
00:50It's interesting that they're at an impasse on what that actual financials are supposed to look at between the two
00:54because usually the blockbuster deals are what, Ben? Three, four years, $100 million, $70 guaranteed.
01:00And the last I saw was like three years, $60 some odd million with, again, a pretty good portion of the guarantee.
01:05But it's not that superstar mega contract that you're looking at that sort of would turn the tide, let's just say that.
01:11So for me, I do think he gets paid, but they must be far apart to let it get this ugly between him and the organization.
01:18I wonder how far it goes.
01:19And also, you usually have the sit-in, right?
01:21It's like, hey, you know what? I'm going to show up so I don't get $50,000.
01:23And he's so upset, he's like, fine me to 50 Gs.
01:26I can't even be around this team right now because of how disrespectful I feel like I'm getting treated.
