Activists demand sanctions on Israel, as government condemns the inhumane killing of civilians

00:00In the last 24 hours, Australia has finally made a strong statement

00:04calling for an urgent ceasefire and for an end to the killing in Gaza.

00:08And we welcome that statement from Foreign Minister Penny Wong.

00:12Late as it is.

00:14We know from past occasions that Israel will dismiss mere words.

00:18Australia must commit to stop sending weapons and weapons parts to Israel

00:23and that must include the F-35 weapons program.

00:26This action is organised by a number of people from across the country

00:30and everybody's come together to call on the Australian government to impose sanctions on the Israeli government

00:35that is committing mass atrocities right now as we speak.

00:38The Australian government hasn't taken any action over the last 21 months

00:42as we've witnessed the live stream genocide.
