Hydrogen cars grand prix at University of Wollongong on July 24, 2025.
Transcript
00:00What are we looking at here?
00:02So the fuel cell converts hydrogen into electricity,
00:06which powers a battery, which plugs into the fuel cell brain,
00:11and that's what powers the car.
00:14And you've chosen a pink car.
00:16Is there any reason behind the pink car shell?
00:19We want it to look more flashy in our race today and not dull.
00:23Okay, very good.
00:25We were given a slideshow of the starter of instructions,
00:29how to mount the motor and the wheels and the fuel cell,
00:32but after that we had to figure it out for ourselves.
00:35Yeah, we've done quite a few hours of test driving in the school hall,
00:40just testing whether or not we need both fans on
00:43or just one fan to stop the fuel cell from overheating and catching fire.
00:48So because the fans draw a bit of voltage,
00:52if we are losing a lot of voltage from our batteries,
00:55we will cut the fan and run without fans.
00:59which is the film part in the public make.
