00:00hello how y'all doing i know the other one i know the other one uh video uh conked out on
00:12it conked out whatever because it said the phone got overheated so i got my i got my ac
00:24blasting trying to keep the phone uh trying to keep the phone from getting overheated so that's
00:32what i'm gonna do right now i mean when you're talking i was at the uh at the bank whatever
00:38but now when i'm trying i'm hitting uh red live stuff to go get me some something from them
00:45biscuits them cheddar uh them cheddar what is it uh biscuits i love i ain't had them in years so
00:53i'm just gone think about it i'm just gone just to pick up some biscuits because i was i i'm getting
01:0012 dozen main reason why because they say if you get six it's 329 okay 329 i think it's 329 for some
01:12biscuits but if i get a dozen it's 4.99 i love them biscuits so i mean eat them go to sleep and go
01:21to work because see today i didn't i didn't do no doordash today i didn't do no waiter today
01:27whatever i just been you know most of the time i doordash and do waiter what i do is doordash and do
01:38waiter before i go to work and then after i get off of work i do wait i do doordash and waiter again
01:47so may as well say i'm working three jobs or whatever you want call it
01:52and that's what i do and i love it you know i'm saying because at the end of the day you ain't really
02:01you ain't bound tonight and then you're independent contractor so you can reject stuff
02:07so if if it ain't fun you know if it's not funny i mean if you don't like it you don't accept it
02:14plain and simple but the point about it is that's good i do that when i'm not at when i'm not at my
02:22main job so if i need to make extra money i just do that or you know i'm saying that's what i do
02:28because now put like this when you actually delivering we're working for a job you get
02:35the minute you you get what you get paid hourly but by they do that uh split pay nowadays split
02:44plate so if i do spit i mean split pay whatever i gotta make sure i say it correctly split pay
02:52i'm talking about this is blue bonnet so i go that way all right all right so when you're doing
02:59that split pay whatever all right a lot of people got it messed up now use the
03:06see when you're doing that split pay whatever a lot of people get confused when it comes to that split
03:13pay
03:13when it comes to that split pay um nonsense because it like with certain places they do
03:22they do it a whole lot different all right well how we do it is is all right if you get paid
03:29for instance 10 31 okay when you're on the road you get paid 7 31 you know that's what you get when
03:39you're on the road 7 31 but if you do if you in the store it's 10 31 but if you you know on if you
03:49in the store 10 31 if you're on the road it's 7 31 you know that's split pay and i think when i
03:59in overtime it's 15 47 and i think when i do the the uh the split pay i don't know why it's a little
04:10different when it comes to overtime i don't know i think you get like 10 or 11 dollars something on that
04:18order you know i'm not trying to get on the pacific when they come with the split pay with
04:22the uh overtime because so far i don't get overtime like talking about and first i was getting it but
04:29now it's you know sitting in the wind whatever you want to call it but that's how it works you know
04:38i'm saying that's how that's that's how definitely it works so you know certain you know but certain
04:45other jobs like i heard that papa john they do split pay too but i think they still playing in
04:50working like 7 25 750 whatever i think we went up a quarter and you get like four dollars and some
04:57change on the road that's how that you know that's how it works and i think that domino's you get ten
05:05dollars in the store and when you're on the road you get three dollars so that's a seven dollar
05:13difference that you got to pick up that's hard you know what i'm saying they said that's only with
05:18the daytime drive but that's what i was told by a guy who used to work for uh domino's he said when
05:24you work in the daytime you get ten dollars on the road i mean ten dollars my bad ten dollars in the
05:31store and three dollars on the road that's horrible you know that that's typically horrible
05:37you know but they say when you are night driver you get straight ten dollars in and out thing that's
05:45damn good he said but you got to work at night so all right cool a lot of people be like i don't like
05:52see a lot of people can't work at night so that's understandable a lot of people can't work at night
05:57so if you can't work at night you know they do the thing and they deal with the uh
06:02you know you deal with uh getting that three dollars on the road in the daytime
06:09you know nothing you can do it you know it's that's life
06:13can't be mad about it you can't you know you can't be no hater that's all it is what it is
06:23so you know that's understandable but you know i would i'll work anytime me i wouldn't count
06:33you know it's all about making that money you got to do it pay your bill so that's the thing that's
06:40what uh that's that's what domino's papa john you know that's a 750 in the road and four thousand
06:47something i mean 750 in the on the stove
07:00yeah so that's how
07:06yes they don't have
07:07i'm trying to look for the uh
07:28i'm trying to look for the curve side pickup
07:37so
07:47i'm trying to look for the curve side
07:54so
07:58So I'm trying to look for the curved side pick up or whatever, well I'm here, but what
08:27they're saying, alright, so let me get it, I don't want to sound confused. Pizza Hut, so
08:33say if you Pizza Hut, I'm just hyper-dabbly speaking, if you're getting $10 at Pizza Hut
08:40in the store, and if you're on the road, you get $7. If you, uh, Papa John's, I think they
08:49get like $7.25, $7.50 in the store, and on the road, you get $4. Domino's, I heard told
08:59by a guy that he said, you work in the morning, you get $10 in the store, $3 on the road. That's,
09:08I ain't gonna lie, that sucks ass. Alright, and then if you had Domino's, if you had night,
09:14you get straight $10 in and out the store. That's awesome. Because basically I didn't
09:20feel at night, you know, safety, you're a little bit more in danger, stuff like that. That's
09:27too. But at one point, all Domino's, Pizza Hut, and Domino's Pizza Hut and Papa John, they
09:41pay you mileage now. I mean, not basically per mile. They used to pay you per trip. But
09:49I'm gonna be honest with you, when I was working with Papa John, I would prefer to get paid
09:57per trip. I was getting $2.07 per trip. It was a whole lot better. When I got paid mileage
10:06just a long time ago, about two or three years ago, I was getting, uh, and then they switched
10:14off the, uh, mileage because they got sued. Because the people, you know, the people that
10:20sued them because their trip time was horrible. I mean, they, uh, paid trip horrible. Because
10:25they lived in the country. They lived in the country. And I think it took, for you to make
10:32one delivery, it's like, I think it says like 12 miles. Something like that. Like, you see,
10:38six miles going, six miles coming back. So, uh, trip, my, if I was out there, I wouldn't
10:44want to get paid trip. Because if I'm going to take me six to 12 miles to go delivery and
10:51come back, that's dumb. And then they was only paying them like 80, 80 cent to a dollar a trip.
10:58That's damn horrible. Shame on you. Shame on you. You know.
11:08Pete, I mean, uh, shame on, on you, Papa John. You know, that was, uh, that was PJ, uh, yeah,
11:17PJ United. Yeah, PJ United at that time was, that's what they were paying people who lived
11:25in the country going to take six to 12 miles for one delivery and you're only getting a
11:31dollar. That's not even by, that's not even by government standards, man. You're supposed
11:38to get, let's see, business miles is counting as 58.5. I think it's 58.5 miles. You're supposed
11:48to get a mile. Like, really? Y'all, y'all was ripping people off big time. Ripping people
11:56off big time. So, you know, like, and they sued, after they sued, whatever.
12:03Uh, you know, and then they started where they went to mileage. Okay. Mileage for them
12:14was awesome. I mean, mileage, trip for them was horrible. Mileage was good. But when it
12:20came to my store, trip was better than mileage. But we had to, you know, it, it would, it would
12:27help them out affected us. Because if you're getting $2 per, $2.07 per thing and you're
12:37delivering in the hood. So Matt, when you're delivering in the hood, you might take five
12:45deliveries on one street. So if I'm taking five deliveries on one street, that's $10. Cool.
12:53$10, you know, $10.35. But now I'm getting mileage. I'm only getting, if it's a, if it takes
13:08two miles to be going to deliver them five deliveries. You know what I'm saying? So instead
13:16of me getting my, instead of me getting my $10.35, now I think, I don't know what I was
13:25getting. I don't think they was going by your vehicle. I think you was getting like 40, 50
13:30cents at the most. So instead of me getting $10.35, now I'm getting a dollar. So it took
13:39me two miles. I mean, it took me two miles going back and forth. Think about it. It took
13:43me two miles to go back and forth to deliver 10, I mean, five deliveries, just hypothetically
13:50speaking. You know, sometimes you don't get it that good. So instead of getting $10.35
13:57that I'm used to getting by doing it per trip, I'm getting paid per mile and now I'm getting
14:04a dollar. So I lost $1.35. Like they didn't, like you need to, you know, like if they, they
14:15should have, what they should have did the people who do the most miles, like that kept
14:20them keep, do that for mileage there. But the people that wanted the trip, keep them with
14:28the trip. You should have gave us some type of, you know, at one point they said, well,
14:35we'll do the makeup. All right, cool. Every week they did that. And then after that, they
14:40stopped that. Because basically at the end of the day, they say after two weeks, whatever,
14:48have you delivered, all of it going to add up to you getting $2.07. You know what I'm saying?
14:55Oh, they're going to add up. No, they did not add up. You know what I'm saying? No,
14:59that did not add up to my $2.07. Good chances are, I'm going to be honest with you. Good
15:06chances are to this day, two, three years ago, they probably still owe me money from when
15:12they, you know, and then they stopped it, but didn't even let us know that they stopped
15:17making up. Because they said at the end of the day, you add up all your deliveries and
15:21what you used to get paid for a trip, add that, and then add the mileage, which you
15:27got, and that got either be equal or more. That was a lie because I'm looking like something,
15:36you know what I'm saying? I'm adding up. I'm like, that's not even, no. Wait a minute.
15:41All right. I'm at $2 on mine. I said, wait a minute. I'm $10 short this week. Something
15:46in the last week, I might be $20. And one week, I was over $15. All right. I'm like,
15:52yeah. All right. So they're going to make up for the shortness. I was over $15 said, cover
15:57that. So I mean, I need to make up $15 more. So remember, I was short 10. I was short 10,
16:05short 20. All right. Short 10, short 20. Then the third week, I was over $15. So, all right.
16:13So I got to make up the other $15. Hopefully, I can add it up. If I, all right. If I'm short 30,
16:20I'm one, one week, I was over 15. So that cover, so I got 15 more cover that I'm in negative.
16:25Then I end up being short again, you know, being short again. So when is, you're never going to
16:31break even, especially if you're delivering in the hood. If you're taking 10, three, 10 to six
16:38deliveries on one street, you're never going to amount to the money, which you used to
16:43get. And, and then, and, and then with that, they didn't want tracking. Like we're Oscar.
16:52You're the only one that cares about the tracking. Yeah. I care about the tracking because we're
16:59trying to stop accidents and they will, and they doing that for insurance purposes.
17:04Okay. Y'all doing that for insurance purposes. I understand that because you got the, if
17:11you're insurance hiring people, get an accident. Okay. And they said, if you drive safely, if
17:18you drive safely, then there won't be no accident. That's a damn lie. What happened? Somebody hit
17:24you and you're driving safely. You know what I'm saying? You can't, or so you can't stop somebody
17:31from ramming into you. And then what happened? They don't have insurance. So the insurance
17:36don't go up. Your, uh, workman's comp don't go up because at the end of the day, the workman's
17:42comp can't get their money. You can't sue them cause they don't have shit. So how is that
17:47benefiting? So you, you're driving safely and that don't work. If you're in the hood, if
17:53you're delivering pizza, uh, in the hood, it's not quality. I mean, I mean, it's quantity
18:01because you might take 20 deliveries and never get tipped. You know what I'm saying? So at
18:08the end of the day, dumb, you was counting for them trips. So you're like, Hey, I know
18:13if I take 30, I at least know if I take 30 deliveries, I at least know I'm going to make
18:20$60. I know I'm going to do that. But with the mileage situation, you couldn't, you couldn't
18:27calculate your money like that. I know this sucker going to be busy today. And I know I average
18:33between 20 to 30 delivery, sometimes 30 or more. So I at least don't make $60. And if I get
18:42tips, cool, if I don't cool, because I know I'm going to make $60. That mileage took that
18:50away from that. And you now you go on there, see you, you taking 30 deliveries, you might
18:59make $20. Wait a minute here. You know, wait a minute here. I went from doing 60, taking
19:0630. Now I'm making 20, 25, 30 at the most. That's not cool. So I had a problem with that.
19:14And they said, I was the only one complaining about it. Yeah, because they're not delivering
19:17in the hood. That's why I'm complaining about it. So I'm delivering in the hood and stuff.
19:24I'm delivering in the hood.
