00:14So I'm positive. About a month before the world turned upside down in 2020, Bayline, that's paying ideal, I don't know how to say that, made a career move that would prove fortuitous.
00:32Tired of waiting behind more experienced nurses to advance in her career, gave up working as a staff nurse in Bad Roots to give traveling nurses a shot.
00:45Traveling nurses are also known as agents or contract nurses or registered nurses who can travel across the country to fill workforce needs.
00:57They typically earn higher rates than staffers.
01:02Two years later, even after enduring the COVID-19 pandemic in the ICU from Bad Roots to Boston,
01:11Perra doesn't see herself going back to a staff job.
01:15The pay is too high to turn down.
01:18From what Perra has seen, she's not alone.
01:22That is definitely good.
01:24So if you're a nurse and you want to make more money, you need to become a traveling nurse.
01:33Get out that ICU, get out emergency, go out there and be traveling nurses where you can make more money so you can pay more debt, pay your schooling out, do what you got to do to pay them bills.
01:48And it's doing in Baton Rouge is they pay going up.
01:53So go take advantage that all you nurses.
01:56If y'all listening to me, all people who try to be a nurse, Harbin, get that degree so you could go and be a traveling nurse and make that money and buy your dream house, get your dream car.
02:09Stack your money if you want to go have kids or if you already have kids so they can have a better life because now you're getting paid more just to travel around.
02:22You might be away from your family, but at the end of the day, you got to do what's best for you.
02:29Alright, I just wanted to share this positive thing even though it happened because of COVID-19, but you got to take advantage of this high pay.
