00:00Hello there. There's not much change in the weather day-to-day at the moment, is there?
00:04Quite unsettled and showery sums it up for the next few days as well.
00:08And we do have quite a number of warnings for rain and thunderstorms in place both today
00:12and indeed on Monday as well. So do check out Apple, our website, for further details where you live.
00:16We could see some intense downpours and some surface water flooding on the roads at times.
00:21That's the case for this afternoon as well. So bands of showers spreading their way northwards
00:25across the UK. Some heavy downpours and thunderstorms in places too as well.
00:30Perhaps the wettest conditions across parts of northern England by the end of the afternoon.
00:34But really, wherever you are, you are likely to see at least some rain or thunderstorms at times.
00:38In any sunshine though, it should actually feel quite warm and humid. Temperatures are a little bit above average for the time of year.
00:44So highs in the mid-20s for many of us. Not quite as warm across the northeast of Scotland
00:48with quite a lot of low cloud and sea harm moving in here, keeping temperatures in the high teens in general.
00:54And there will be some gusty winds at times in some of those showers. So do keep an eye out for those.
00:57As we go into this evening, it stays pretty unsettled. So further showers and thunderstorms
01:03across many parts of the UK. In particular, we're keeping a close eye on parts of Northern Ireland,
01:09southern Scotland and the far northwest of England, where we could see some longer spells
01:12of heavy rain. That could lead to some surface water flooding on the roads by the end of the night
01:16as well. And again, across the southeast of the UK, that's where we like to see an increasing
01:21number of heavy showers, thunderstorms and hail as well by the end of the night.
01:26But it's not going to be a cold night, even where we see skies clear. Temperatures are like to stay
01:31in the mid-teen Celsius, but not quite as humid as it has been of late.
01:36So as we begin the new working week, it's still pretty unsettled for most of us.
01:40A very wet morning commute to work across parts of Northern Ireland, southern Scotland as well.
01:45So some particularly heavy rain here. And that band of rain stretches down into parts of Wales and the
01:50southwest of England as well, tending to become a little bit lighter perhaps by the afternoon.
01:55The focus of the heavy showers and thunderstorms on Monday will probably be more towards the east.
01:59So central parts of the UK, the Midlands, northeast England, parts of East Anger and the southeast.
02:05That's where we like to see the most intense thunderstorms, some hail, some gusty winds,
02:09some frequent lightning perhaps here in places, but also some sunny spells mixed in there as well.
02:13Again, where you do see the sunshine on Monday, it's not going to feel cold.
02:17It's actually going to feel pretty warm and humid. Temperatures in the mid-20s once again.
02:22A little bit cooler and fresher out towards the west with those winds starting to come in from more of a north-westly direction.
02:28Not a lot of changes as we go through Monday evening either.
02:31The rain is still pretty heavy across parts of western Scotland, perhaps the Isle of Man and parts of Northern Ireland as well.
02:36But elsewhere, the showers will slowly tend to fade away.
02:40So there's a lot of weather going on over the next 24 to 36 hours or so.
02:43So do make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel so that you never miss an update.
