00:00Hello again. It was a wet weekend for many of us and the showery theme will continue
00:04over the next few days as well. It's all courtesy of an area of low pressure that's
00:08been not really moving very far across the UK over the last few days and even by Tuesday
00:13the area of low pressure is still across the northwest of Scotland so we'll still see a
00:17mixture of sunny spells and showers for many of us. But back to Sunday evening it's across
00:22the north of England, southern Scotland and in particular Northern Ireland where we'd
00:25like to see the wettest conditions so some really heavy rain developing through the early
00:29hours across the east of Northern Ireland, potentially some flooding in places here and
00:33there will be some showers elsewhere across the UK too, particularly later in the night
00:37across the southeast of England where some thunderstorms may arrive as well. But where
00:42we see the clear skies temperatures will still hold up into the double figures and where we
00:47hold on to the cloud temperatures not falling much below 15 or 16 degrees so a pretty mild
00:51night to come wherever you are. Now Monday dawns on a pretty showery and unsettled note will
00:56already have the chance of some thunderstorms in the southeast of England and a warning
01:00is already in place here and as we go through the morning the showers and the heavy downpours
01:04become more widespread across the east of the UK and it's here where we could see some gusty
01:08winds, some hail, some lightning as well with those thunderstorms. But also it's here where
01:13we like to see the warmest conditions so temperatures into the mid-20s perhaps in a sunshine in between
01:18those showers. But further west a slightly cooler fresher feel and for Northern Ireland and
01:23western Scotland we'll see the heaviest and most persistent rain here so the risk of further
01:27flooding through the day particularly across Northern Ireland. As we go into tomorrow evening
01:33that rain gradually tends to ease away across Northern Ireland but it will stay fairly wet
01:38I think in general across the north-western quadrant of the UK. Further east more in a way of clear
01:44sky developing and drier conditions arriving gradually but it won't be a cold night once again.
01:49Temperature's pretty unremarkable and holding up into the mid-teens for all of us.
01:53Now Tuesday won't be quite as unsettled as it has been. Make the most of any early morning
01:58sunshine in the east because it probably won't last. It's likely to be a pretty cloudy day
02:02wherever you are on Tuesday and out towards the north-west well that's likely where we're going
02:06to see further showers at times. But the showers won't be as heavy as they have been on recent
02:11days and certainly for quite a large area of England and Wales through the afternoon we'll
02:15probably get away with largely dry conditions albeit quite cloudy. If the sunshine does break
02:20through we might reach 24 or 25 celsius in the southeast but generally temperature is quite
02:25a bit lower than they have been of late. Now you may want to check our website or our app
02:30for further details on the warnings that are in place. But that's everything from me and
02:35I'll see you again very soon.
