00:03got off to a tough start for France

00:05when a major wing incident meant they were unable to race.

00:08And much to the light of the huge grandstand,

00:11Emirates GBR made a statement in race 1.

01:16But by race 4, they were back on their usual form.

01:20A notable performance from new team Red Bull Italy.

01:26Two third places see them fighting for a podium spot with New Zealand.

01:35They dominate the day 1 standings.

01:50And the Bond's Flying Roos by virtue of that last win.

01:52They are now pulled into a tie with the Blackboils of New Zealand.
