00:00I mean, has this been one of the more polarizing evaluations of a club in your career, even
00:22when you were playing?
00:22I mean, based on just how darn good the pitching's been and the defense is.
00:26But unfortunately, on paper, the lineup just isn't living up to expectations.
00:30Yeah, it's no doubt.
00:31It's been a confounding season in terms of this team was designed to score runs.
00:36And I thought it was going to be a very good offensive team.
00:39I thought we'd have a very solid pitching staff.
00:41And instead, it's been almost the exact opposite.
00:44Our pitching has been elite.
00:46I think we've given up the fewest runs in baseball.
00:48And trust me, I'm hearing it from all my colleagues right now that are calling, checking in to see
00:53what we're going to do.
00:54And most of them say, with a high level of conviction, your team has to hit.
00:58There is no way that you guys are going to continue to score runs at this rate.
01:04You're going to hit.
01:05It's going to explode.
01:05And when you do, you're going to go off.
01:07You're going to go win eight, ten in a row.
01:09And I believe that.
01:10I believe that's possible.
01:11But the reality is we have not done that to this point.
01:14And at some point, we're going to be faced with a decision in terms of the path through
01:19the remainder of the season and how we put ourselves in a good position in 2026 and beyond to continue
01:25to compete.
01:26And so, while I appreciate the opinions of my peers, we've lived it day to day.
01:32And so, it has been a very confounding season in terms of the elite level pitching that we
01:38have received yet to have such an underperformance offensively.
01:42And I hate it because I believe in this group.
01:45I believe in these guys.
01:46I chose these guys.
01:47I am responsible for these guys and being in Texas Ranger uniforms.
01:52And I feel a sense of responsibility that we have not lived up to expectations.
01:57And I hate that for, you know, for the guys that are wearing it on a daily basis.
02:02They're being asked the same questions.
02:03For Boach, you know, we're all in this together.
02:06And we've done a lot of things to try to figure it out and solve for it.
02:09But in the end, you know, it seems at this point, this is kind of who we are offensively.
02:13And we don't seem to be putting it together in the manner that we had hoped or expected.
