00:10week we're looking at jesus parable of the prodigal son which is found in the bible in luke 15.
00:19a father's younger son asked for his inheritance early and received it he left and then squandered
00:25it when he ran out of money a famine breaks out in the country he's in and he ends up in a right
00:31mess eating pigs food jesus goes on to tell us that the younger brother in the depths of his despair
00:39stuffing pig food in his mouth comes to his senses and says how many of my father's hired servants
00:47have food to spare and here i am starving to death i will set out and go back to my father and say to
00:54him father i have sinned against heaven and against you we've all messed up sometimes we royally screw
01:03up like the younger brother but i have found and as jesus shows us in this story the first step
01:09towards getting out of that mess could be to admit our mistakes and reach out to the people we've hurt
01:16to put it right again
