00:00Willier Abreu has been one of the top performers for the Red Sox for the most of the season.
00:05313 this past week, three home runs, nine runs driven in, a stolen base.
00:09Everyone, you know, certainly waiting for all the other stars on the Red Sox to come alive.
00:14But this guy's been one of the more consistent players this season.
00:17Flies under the radar quite a bit.
00:19He's a nice little player here, right?
00:21Maybe they open up some room for him with the Rafael Devers trade.
00:24Get another bat in that lineup here.
00:26Hit the inside of the park home run at Fenway the other day, which is right to a triangle, top of the wall, bounced away from the center fielder on the Reds, and away he went.
00:35So it was a fun little play there.
00:36Red Sox, they're going to be a good offensive team.
00:40Maybe not this year.
00:41But all those offensive players are Abreu, Anthony, Durant, if he stays with the team, which I am not so sure about, Rafael, I mean, they've got some good young players, right?
00:50Their future should be somewhat bright, assuming, there's a big assumption, of course, assuming that they can, you know, get some pitching in there, right?
00:59We'll see what happens there because they're going to need some help beyond crochet, all right?
01:03Bellow and Houck, I think, are more bottom of the rotation, guys.
01:07They're going to need some top of the rotation starters here, and they'll be a dangerous team in a couple of years.
01:11All right, let's get to the red-hot Miami Marlins, even when they lose yesterday.
01:16It's a really close game.
01:18Kyle Stowers had a really nice year.
01:20He had a bit of a slump, George, for about a month, didn't really hit much.
01:24I think he's probably secured as the Marlins All-Star.
01:27We'll find that out on Sunday.
01:29This past week, 300, two home runs, two runs driven in.
01:33Miami got him and Connor Norby last year for Trevor Rodgers.
01:37By the way, Trevor Rodgers is finally doing some things in Baltimore.
01:41I know he's pitching well as of late, but Stowers has been probably the most consistent offensive performer for Miami.
01:48I just hope people didn't drop him a month ago.
01:52Yeah, he's been really very good here.
01:54By the way, Craig, did the Marlins lose while you were away?
01:59They won every game.
02:00I came back and they lost, yeah.
02:04Yeah.
02:04They did blame me.
02:07As well they should.
02:08I mean, hey, you know.
02:10Craig's not here.
02:11We win.
02:11Craig's not here.
02:12They were on the road.
02:13I don't know.
02:13Does that count?
02:14They were on the road.
02:15If it was home, I'd feel differently about it, but I wouldn't have been there anyway.
02:19Good point.
02:20It was kind of funny, though, that they didn't lose the game on UOA.
02:23That stat was really great.
02:24Listen, it's good to see that some of their younger hitters are hitting.
02:28All right.
02:28We didn't even talk about Guston Ramirez and how good he's been.
02:31All right.
02:32Make an argument.
02:33He could be their All-Star rep as well.
02:35I don't think he will be, but that he could be.
02:37He's had that kind of year for the Miami Marlins.
02:39And you and I have discussed multiple times in the show now, man, fantasy catchers.
02:43It's not the desert or the desert that used to be here.
02:47There actually are fantasy catchers in our fantasy nowadays.
02:50Even if you get one hurt, there's only someone you can pick off the waiver wire here.
02:53But it's good to see the Marlins having some good young offensive talent that's coming up,
02:56that's playing well, especially in what is a major hitter's ballpark, pitcher's ballpark.
03:00Now, one of the big stories, I think, on the Houston Astros, George, has to be the next player we're going to discuss.
03:07A very quiet start to the season for Cam Smith, who they acquired in the trade for Kyle Tucker.
03:13But, George, don't look now.
03:15This guy could be ready for a massive breakout.
03:19476 this past week.
03:21If you take a look at some of the metrics, it's war, George.
03:25I mean, this guy's on pace for a five-war season.
03:27That's among the very best at his position in Major League Baseball.
03:33And ignore that Orioles logo, by the way.
03:35It's on Houston.
03:36But 476 this past week.
03:38Six runs driven in.
03:40And, you know, the power isn't there yet, George.
03:44But that's kind of the last thing that comes sometimes for these prospects.
03:47I mean, at the end of the year, if he hits 290 with 15 home runs, 70 runs driven in for a 22-year-old,
03:52it's a great keeper prospect.
03:54Agreed.
03:55The guy who can hit some, maybe not crush any one category, but hit all the categories across the board here.
04:00I can give you enough home runs to matter, bases, which Lord knows I need stolen bases,
04:04and errors that will help you, not hurt you.
04:06He's a good little valuable player there in fantasy.
04:10I found it interesting last night, you know, in our opening headlines.
04:14We had so many Dodger things listed there as far as Muncie with the injury.
04:17Saw that injury, by the way, the other night.
04:19Greg, man, isn't that knee bent the wrong way?
04:21The fact that it's just a bone bruise, I think very lucky there.
04:24I was expecting the worst for Muncie.
04:26Kershaw had the strikeouts.
04:27They're going to move Edmond to third base, by the way.
04:29Try him there so he can have some fantasy, I guess, extra value as far as another position he might be eligible for there.
04:35But I found it interesting last night.
04:36I mean, Houston beat the snot out of the Dodgers, 18-1.
04:40And this is what happens here.
04:41Oral Hershaw, who's doing the game for the Dodgers, brings up the cheating scandal,
04:44going, oh, they must know of a science because they're hitting curveballs that they know it's coming.
04:48It's like, oh, boy, does he really want to go down that rabbit hole again here?
04:51I think this is one of those nights where they got destroyed.
04:54Hey, it happens in baseball here.
04:55But I just found that an interesting comment by Oral Hershaw.
04:58I just started bringing up the cheating scandal again because they beat the tar of the Dodgers pitching last night.
05:05And let's get through that.
05:08And let's get through that.
05:11Let's get through that.
05:12Let's get through that.
05:16How did you make impression by Oral Hershaw.
05:17Yes, I'm not mistaken.
05:18No, I'm not mistaken.
05:20It's all in the comments.
05:21I didn't remember it, it's been takich.
05:24They finish his classroom, Alex, okay.
05:25Do you have that?
05:25Yes, of course you're taking the tiene, so they may crumble since they were in the middle of the middle of the bottom.
