00:00Yeah, the Red Sox are you're using Christian Campbell as an everyday player Roman Anthony on most process actually ranked higher

00:06Not on mine personally, but certainly ranked high enough and I think that's what's important about the Red Sox is depth

00:13It's a long season, right? So if you have depth in the rotation, that's good

00:16If you have depth in the bullpen, that's good. And if you have depth in your minor league system

00:20It's crucial because inevitably injuries are going to befall you over those 162 games

00:25And if you look at their current construction right now, you have Duran and left you have Rafaela

00:30Out there in center field and you have a Bray you out there

00:33so not a lot of room yet for Roman Anthony, but at any moment you could see an injury opening up a spot for

00:39Roman Anthony or

00:40Potentially a trade where they want Roman Anthony to play the minor league season doesn't begin till April 4th

00:45So you're not gonna have any stats on these guys

00:47you're not gonna be able to figure out where they're gonna be he is going to be opening the season at triple-a and

00:53Probably went undrafted in most leagues because there's no room at the end for him

00:57But that seems like an inevitability right now, especially as the Red Sox are trying to lock up Christian Campbell

01:02I think that tells you they're very keen on going with a youth movement. Now. I think Rafaela what a great spring

01:07I don't think he's going anywhere. Although a Bray who got off to a nice start

01:10He would be the odd man out in my opinion. Plus he plays the position that Roman Anthony plays which is right field

01:15So I would be looking at adding Roman Anthony and stashing him if again, you have enough bench spots

01:21Some leagues have very shallow benches. You can't do this kind of stuff

01:23Other leagues and deeper leagues tend to have more bench opportunities

01:27So Roman Anthony a guy the stash now for two reasons

01:30Not only could opportunity open up quicker than you think maybe he gets a hundred at-bats and then all of a sudden

01:35He's so good. You can't keep him down on the farm anymore or

01:39Potentially he's a trade chip right where somebody goes. Oh, you know what? I could really use some death in the outfield

01:46Oh, you've got the number one outfield prospect in baseball

01:48Maybe throw him in a trade and you get something done for a pitcher or something else

01:52So this is about acquiring assets why we talked about the IL stashes. That's why we talked about these prospects. You want to add to

01:59assets talent on your roster is always a good thing and that gives you the ability to

02:03Get leverage when you have injuries and leverage when you're making trades and Roman Anthony gives you both of those things Matt

02:09Yeah, no, I like it until it's Devers to the Dodgers for Bobby Miller and a player to be

02:14Yeah, no, that's really I love mention that because there's a lot of people that think Devers is just unhappy now and he wants out

02:20And he has a very I would say team friendly contract compared to some of the other contracts

02:26We've seen in the last two years. So that would make Devers intriguing. Do you think there that maybe there is something to that?

02:43But I always look at everything from a wagering perspective a wagering perspective

02:46But I think these teams looking at these young kids to handle the load of

02:50162 games as baseball betters as fantasy baseball managers. You got to admit. It's a bit arduous

02:55I mean, we're only a couple days in and even I'm just like, all right

02:59Need everything to be compartmentalized for a minute. These young kids can handle that load

03:03They can keep their exuberance their their refractory period is there where they can bounce back and play back-to-back games

03:08These are the things you look for as a better as far as Devers goes. I mean what ten strikeouts already?

03:14Some of the the houses have wagers on how many times a guy's gonna strike out

03:18You would never think that Devers is the guy you start to look that for that early early kind of like lean

03:22But you've got that and it's just it's disheartening
