00:00You look absolutely sensational, I'm loving it as a linen beige, chic, summer chic.
00:20Just trying to manifest having my own yacht, I think that's what I'm trying to do here
00:25today.
00:26It is giving that.
00:27It is giving that.
00:28You look rich and powerful.
00:29You do actually, I was like who is that rich man when you walked in?
00:32He must have a yacht.
00:33He must have a yacht.
00:34And I need to get on it.
00:35One thing about me, I want to be on it.
00:37You'll be the first one.
00:38I could be your yacht girl.
00:39Yeah.
00:40Anyway, I love how this has went right that way.
00:42Straight in.
00:43Straight in the deep end.
00:44Deep dive.
00:45Look at us with the buns.
00:46And the buns.
00:47But listen, we're here at Attitude Awards.
00:49Yeah, yeah.
00:50How exciting is it to be in a room full of all these people celebrating the queer community?
00:54Always amazing.
00:55Always just so nice to be surrounded by people who we're here to celebrate.
01:01Everywhere you look, everyone's just so friendly, so lovely.
01:04There's a lot of love in the community.
01:06And I think, you know, we're heading in a great direction.
01:10I've never felt more confident being gay and being in the public eye and using my platform
01:16to help keep those conversations going.
01:18And yeah, we're here to celebrate.
01:20I feel like you're going to be asked this all weekend.
01:22And I do think it's an important question.
01:24What does pride mean to you?
01:25Why is it so important to you?
01:27Pride is important to me because it makes me feel confident.
01:32It makes me feel like I belong.
01:35I think growing up in Hull, I had a rough time with my sexuality and didn't really accept
01:40myself until I came into music.
01:43And then when I started writing music about my experiences and putting it out there for
01:46the world, it was just met with such a huge amount of love.
01:51And both inside and outside the community.
01:53And I think pride has enabled me to be who I truly am and to be confident and to love
01:59myself more.
02:00I know.
02:01I'm sorry.
02:02I love it.
02:03I love feeling the emotions.
02:04It's like joy as well because I feel like the sense of support you get from this community
02:10is just unmatched.
02:11Unbelievable.
02:12You're surrounded by people who understand the struggle, who understand the issues that
02:17you might face.
02:18And yeah, I just want to keep being one of those people where people look to me or to
02:23the community and see themselves being represented.
02:26So that means a lot.
02:27Oh, well listen, I actually studied in Hull.
02:30I did my final year of my degree in Hull and I had the best year of my life.
02:34I love it.
02:35I was going to apologise.
02:36You guys had a dull Hull and I was like, it's not.
02:38It was the best year of my life.
02:39It's never dull in Hull.
02:40That's what they say.
02:41That's what they say.
02:42Listen, it's so good to see you.
02:44I'll see you on the yacht tomorrow.
02:45I'll see you on the yacht.
02:46Yeah.
02:47Yeah.
02:48Yeah.
02:49Right.
02:50Let's say eight.
02:51Eight o'clock.
02:52Eight am.
02:53See you there.
02:54That's lovely.
02:55Lovely to meet you.
02:56I loved your posing.
02:57Oh my God.
02:59Well, I was just saying on the way here, I got a hole in my dress.
03:00Do you know what make-up this part is?
03:01So I was sort of just doing a lot of this.
03:02I do that just to hide my stomach anyway.
03:04But now, don't absolutely don't do that.
03:05You better not because you're gorgeous.
03:06I mean bloating is the difference.
03:07Do you know what I mean?
03:08Yeah.
03:09I'm drinking a lot of busy drinks.
03:10It's 30 degrees.
03:11Do you know what I think just make-up as part of it.
03:12It was meant to be like that.
03:13Yeah, exactly.
03:14I mean, I've told everyone about it and I don't think anyone even noticed.
03:15No.
03:16I haven't even noticed.
03:17But you, I mean-
03:18It's fine.
03:19I was just saying on the way here, I got a hole in my dress.
03:20Oh, do you know what make-up this part is?
03:21So I was sort of just doing like a lot of this.
03:22I do that just to hide my stomach anyway.
03:23But now, don't absolutely don't do that.
03:24But do you know what, I think just make it as part of it.
03:27It was meant to be like that.
03:28Yeah, exactly.
03:29I mean, I've like told everyone about it and I don't think anyone even noticed.
03:31No, I haven't even noticed.
03:32But you, I mean, you're just your beauty.
03:35I was blinded by your beauty.
03:36Oh, stop.
03:37Everybody ate Nels.
03:38You were slain on that carpet.
03:40It's lovely to see you.
03:41How do you feel being here at the Attitude Awards celebrating all things queer?
03:44Oh, I love it.
03:45It makes me so happy to just like be in an environment where everyone-
03:49It's just like, I think we need, in the days like this, we need nights like this.
03:53And it's fun.
03:54It's always an honor to be invited and it's always good fun.
03:57Yeah.
03:58And what does it mean to you to have the support of the community?
04:01Because I feel like once they support you, you can take on the world.
04:04Oh, yeah.
04:05I mean, I've always, always said, or like, I just want my music to be like a safe space.
04:12And I want it to be fun and I want people to be able to connect.
04:16And I've, you know, the LGBTQ plus community have always been so welcoming of me.
04:22Like I love, like if I'm going out, like I'm going to a gay club.
04:25Do you know what I mean?
04:26Because it's just such an accepting, nice, fun place.
04:28So I'm like, that's what I want to be able to give to them.
04:31And I want to present what is happening with the music then.
04:34Did I hear EP gay?
04:35Did I hear yes?
04:36Yes.
04:37Yeah.
04:38I've got an EP coming out.
04:39It's called My Island.
04:40It's out on the 18th of July.
04:41So quite soon.
04:42It's my first project as an independent artist.
04:44So it's a big deal.
04:45But I'm excited.
04:46Yeah.
04:47We'll be there.
04:48We'll be there to support you.
04:49Thank you so much.
04:50And you're absolutely sweet.
04:51Thank you very much.
04:52You too.
04:53Very nice to meet you.
04:54Bye.
04:55Bye.
04:56Bye.
04:57Bye.
04:58Hello, Tom.
04:59How are you?
05:00We need to stop meeting like this.
05:01I know.
05:02I was going to say we've met before on these red carpets, haven't we?
05:03We've met before.
05:04Yes.
05:05I'm Jodie.
05:06And every time I meet you, you're hosting.
05:07Well, I do.
05:08Can you give us all a chance, please?
05:09I mean, I feel very honoured to be honest.
05:11It's quite daunting hosting a lunchtime thing, I think.
05:14I know.
05:15Because it's earlier in the day, isn't it?
05:17And, you know, you've got to be on your A-game immediately after lunch.
05:20But no bad thing.
05:21And it's a wonderful, wonderful event, this, which keeps expanding year on year.
05:26Because I think people want to celebrate all the amazing people in our community, actually.
05:31And I think in a world where, you know, there are many upsetting, awful things happening,
05:38it's important to celebrate the positive where we can.
05:41And hopefully, we can enable that to power change and progress.
05:46Absolutely.
05:47Listen, the champagne's blowing.
05:48It might be a lunchtime event.
05:49But I think it's going to be lively in there.
05:52Have you got anything up your sleeve?
05:53Are you doing anything for us on that stage?
05:55Well, no.
05:56Unfortunately, I've retired my tap dancing routine.
05:59No, Tom.
06:00But I am going to be as facetious as possible.
06:04I will be facetious in a respectful way.
06:07But we love that.
06:08But yes.
06:09Well, you know, it's a nice crowd.
06:10It's always a lovely crowd.
06:11And I think as well, if we can all smile and laugh, as well as celebrate positive things,
06:16then it's only a good thing.
06:18You're the host for the most.
06:19But how special is it getting to host this award and celebrate this community?
06:22Well, I think this award, sorry.
06:24Well, absolutely.
06:25But I think at this time of year, when we celebrate Pride, Pride in London is tomorrow, I think
06:31that it feels just extra special.
06:34I think that, as I say, it is a wonderful community of people.
06:37And there are so many good people doing good things.
06:39And that is what Pride is about, I think, and hopefully inspiring other people to do the
06:44same.
06:45What does Pride mean to you?
06:46I know that's a question you get asked a lot, but why is it important to you?
06:49It does get asked a lot.
06:50I think, for me, I think Pride is a really wonderful moment of reflection, really, on
06:57how far we've come and how far we have yet to go.
07:00And I think that, well, I hope that the positive things we celebrate will be a beacon to other
07:05people in other walks of life trying to make positive change, too.
07:09Absolutely.
07:10Well, I'm going to let you rest the dulcet tones.
07:12Well, that's very kind of you.
07:13It's as if I have some sort of vocal warm-up I do, rather than a glass of M&S wine and we're
07:19good to go.
07:20Your warm-up is me chatting to me in the corner.
07:22To be honest, yeah.
07:23I mean, I hope I made sense.
07:24You did.
07:25Absolutely.
07:26You always do.
07:27You ask such great questions and then they put me on the spot.
07:29Don't you, dear?
07:30I don't want to do anything.
07:31Well, listen, if you ever need a co-host, I can't tap dance.
07:34Oh, I'll put in a good word.
07:35I can't tap dance either.
07:36It doesn't matter.
07:37That's showbiz.
07:38Yeah, we can just shake it.
07:39Look like you know what you're doing.
07:40Exactly.
07:41You'll be fine.
07:42So lovely to see you again.
07:43Lovely to see you as always.
07:44And I hope you have a lovely afternoon.
07:45You as well.
07:46All right.
07:47See you soon.
07:48Lots of love.
07:49Lots of love.
07:50You look amazing.
07:51I'm Johnny.
07:52Lovely to meet you, by the way.
07:53Can we just see the outfit?
07:54Can we have a moment for the outfit?
07:55Thank you, yeah.
07:56This is incredible.
07:57I absolutely love it.
07:58Any old iron.
07:59Oh, any old that.
08:00I love it.
08:01A wrecked from Nashville.
08:02Really?
08:03Yeah.
08:04Do you know what?
08:05It doesn't surprise me, because it's an absolute sleigh.
08:06Listen, it's so amazing to meet you.
08:07I'm going to be honest, my camera man was speaking out when he saw you on the carpet.
08:08You're an absolute legend.
08:09And an ipod.
08:11How exciting is it that you're here today and you're getting to perform?
08:12Well, it's lovely.
08:13I mean, you know, we don't get asked this often to do these things.
08:17I mean, we're going to be honest, it's so amazing to meet you.
08:19Yeah, I'm going to be honest.
08:20You're going to be honest.
08:21My camera man was speaking out when he saw you on the carpet.
08:22You're an absolute legend.
08:23And an ipod.
08:25You're getting to perform.
08:26Well, it's lovely.
08:27I mean, you know, we don't get asked this often to do these things.
08:31I mean, very often.
08:32But, you know, we've done quite a few gay pride events over the years.
08:36And sometimes it kind of meld into one a little bit.
08:39But I don't know.
08:41I think since being 60, it's kind of something seems to switch.
08:46And people seem to have a reverence for you.
08:50I think it's because you're still alive, basically.
08:53Listen, you look absolutely incredible.
08:57Everything.
08:58You look amazing.
08:59You're only as young as you feel, right?
09:00Yeah.
09:01And listen, how does it feel to be in a room full of the queer community that are here cheering
09:05you on as well?
09:06Well, it's beautiful.
09:07I've got my husband right beside me.
09:08So we've, I mean, it's amazing that, you know, that we've come so far.
09:12And now it's kind of, you know, everybody's involved.
09:15And I remember, I remember the days when it wasn't even reported on the news, you know,
09:20going on the big day pride march.
09:22So, and for all the stuff going on around the world, you know, for us to come together
09:27for something, it makes it special.
09:30And obviously it's Pride weekend as well.
09:33I know you've probably been asked us loads, but what does pride mean to you?
09:35Why is it important for you?
09:37Well, I just think as long as people are being scapegoated, it doesn't matter in any way,
09:42which so ever, you know, there needs to be someone to stick up for them.
09:47You know, my mum was, she says to me, always support the underdog, which I try and do that,
09:53you know, and there's always somebody that picks on somebody else.
09:57It's just like, leave them alone.
09:59You know, they've done nothing to you, you know?
10:02Well, listen, you look sensational.
10:04It was an absolute honour to meet you.
10:06Thank you so much.
10:07He's a big fan.
10:08I just want to tell you, he's a big fan.
10:11Listen, it's so good to see you.
10:19We're here at the Attitude Awards.
10:21There's such a buzz in the room.
10:22How special is it to be here celebrating all things queer?
10:25It's lovely.
10:26I mean, you know, the queer community at LGBTQ+, like, we just have to stand together.
10:31And I think that's what makes it an amazing community is that it's just so wholesome, isn't it?
10:35And it's just fun.
10:36And I know we're going to have such a good day today.
10:39And I always feel like when I'm in these spaces that I always leave, just feeling like I can take all the world.
10:43You're happy.
10:44Yeah.
10:45And it's just, there's so much going on in the world at the minute.
10:47It's just so nice to come to an event like this where everyone's just smiling, being themselves, all the colours.
10:52And it's just amazing.
10:53Am I right in hearing that your new single is about sex?
10:56Did I just overhear that?
10:57Yeah.
10:58So my new single, Cardio, have a think of what that means.
11:00Because it's not being on the treadmill, honey.
11:02I mean, and it takes work sometimes.
11:05And yeah, well, it is a workout in itself, but you're going to be shook.
11:10Your voice is amazing.
11:12How is it all going with the music?
11:13It's going well.
11:14It's going well.
11:15I mean, especially with my new music, like when you hit Cardio, you'll understand.
11:19I am going full blown Samira Hot Girl Summer.
11:22Yes!
11:23So, and it's also for the gays.
11:25I can't lie.
11:26My main thing is for the gays.
11:27Obviously, who else would it be for, babe?
11:29So Cardio, people are going to live.
11:31I mean, how much does it mean to you that you have that support from the gays?
11:34Because I feel like when they support you, you feel like you can do anything.
11:38You can do anything.
11:39Like, listen, the gays are the best people in the world.
11:41I just love everyone queer.
11:43And like, I mean, you know, I went to ballet school, dance school, musical theatre college.
11:49I'm surrounded by queer people and so many different people, diversity.
11:53So, I've had it all my life and like, I couldn't imagine a world without anyone queer.
11:58I know you're super busy because you're doing your music.
12:00You've got loads going on.
12:01I mean, you're busy with the skincare routine.
12:03I know a lot's happening.
12:04But have you been watching Love Island?
12:06You know what?
12:07In and out, in and out.
12:08I sometimes, sometimes, I've heard it's explosive.
12:11It's wild.
12:12It's wild this year.
12:13It's really explosive.
12:14I mean, there's so many twists and turns.
12:15Do you think you would have copped with that when you were in there?
12:17Yeah.
12:18Yeah.
12:19You're like, I wanted more turns.
12:20Get me back in there.
12:21Where'd you go back in?
12:22Uh, you know what?
12:24It would be so different.
12:25It would be a different experience.
12:26But if I went in there now, I'd be a boss ass, you know?
12:29I'd be a boss ass.
12:30I'd think I was a bit shy.
12:31When are they getting you in to perform?
12:33Like, what used to happen in the Love Island building?
12:35Oh, oh my gosh.
12:36Right?
12:37Hopefully this year, I mean, maybe next year, imagine a couple little songs.
12:40That'd be amazing.
12:41Listen, leave it with me.
12:42Yeah, yeah.
12:43Okay.
12:44It's so good to see you.
12:45And honestly, thank you for giving me skin inspiration because I really need to work
12:48on the skincare routine that I've seen you.
12:51It's so nice to see you.
12:53You look absolutely amazing by the way.
12:54Thanks.
12:55You look so good.
12:56I mean, it feels quite early.
12:57Well, they said summer chic.
12:58Why don't you wear summer chic?
12:59I'm wearing a vest.
13:00Under a jacket, under a suit.
13:01But you need that because it's like so hot as well.
13:02It's lovely though, isn't it?
13:03This is such a special event.
13:04It's a dream.
13:05I love it.
13:06It's so exciting.
13:07I mean, I saw Titanic last night.
13:08I'm here today.
13:09Oh, you did?
13:10I'm so jealous.
13:11Have you seen it?
13:12No.
13:13No.
13:14So I had that.
13:15It's obviously Pride tomorrow.
13:16It's just a big celebration, isn't it?
13:17Wow.
13:18What a few days.
13:19How does it feel to be part of the celebration?
13:20I'm very fortunate that we're in London.
13:22I'm not here very much, that much, so it just perfectly fitted into my time here, and
13:26it's just nice to come and, you know, just be around.
13:29I'm not here very much, that much.
13:31So it just perfectly fitted into my time here, and it's just nice to come and, you know, just
13:42be around amazing queer people who've, you know, pushed the needle, done good things,
13:49are doing good things, and are making a difference.
13:52And we have to celebrate the positivity, right, in our community.
13:55In fact, everybody's community, and this is a moment to do that for us.
13:59I'm very proud of it, and it's nice to be here, and to give my award to the person I'm
14:05giving it to is a really lucky thing, a lovely thing, too.
14:08Well, you're a pride icon to me.
14:10So how does it feel knowing that people maybe look up to you as well?
14:13Because representation matters, you have to see yourself, right?
14:16Yeah, I mean, I'm hyper-aware of, you know, what I say and what I do and how I live my
14:22life and how visible I am, and sends a message, you know, and I'm aware of that.
14:30I mean, I released my autobiography last Christmas.
14:35It's just been translated into Spanish, and the messages I've received because of that book.
14:41And it's just my journey, right?
14:42There's nothing, it's not sensational.
14:44It's just my journey from a little kid in South Wales, grown up in a very strict religious
14:49background, and I accomplished this, what I've done with my life, but also I'm gay in a world
14:56that wasn't necessarily, you know, open to being, you know, a visible gay man in a film
15:02industry.
15:03So, you know, it's a message, and I think it's our responsibility, if we have that profile
15:09or that platform to use it, use it good and send out a good message to the younger generation,
15:14to any generation.
15:15You know, we all need a little bit of positivity, and I'm here to go, I'm here to say you can
15:20achieve what you want.
15:21You can have dreams, and nothing about you, who you are, should ever hinder that or stop
15:27that.
15:28You're going to make me cry, like, oh my goodness.
15:30But just finally, I know you've kind of mentioned it there, but what does pride mean
15:33to you?
15:34Why is it so important for you?
15:36It's, firstly, it's an ongoing fight for not just equality, not just the political
15:44side of it, but it's about being able to walk down a street and be yourself, you know,
15:50wear what you want, be who you want, love who you want, talk the way you want.
15:55There's so much about pride and how you feel inside, you know, that fear is the opposite
16:02of pride, and there is still fear in many parts of our society for the queer community,
16:10and to be proud is a very strong word. Pride, being bold, being confident, and I think that's
16:16what this is about. Being proud is to stand strong with a straight back and look someone
16:22in the eye and be, you know, that to me is what being proud is about, and we still have
16:27a long way to go, but we're definitely, I feel, as an observer and as part of this community,
16:33that it's definitely moving in the right direction, and long may that last.
16:39Oh, and long may that accent last, I could listen to it all day, I absolutely love it.
16:43Yours too, my love.
16:44So nice to see you, lovely to see you take care and maybe see your pride if I survive.
17:00What does this mean to you, you're being honoured today?
17:03I think it's beautiful, I mean, as I say, like, it's been an amazing journey, like, with attitude,
17:08you know what I'm saying, I think, like, Cliff and everyone at the magazine have really helped me navigate
17:13a lot of stuff, you know what I mean, I think being in the public eye and kind of, like,
17:16representing what I do is not always easy, and they've always been really supportive,
17:20so for them to kind of, to do this to me, it's amazing, and I will always, I will always kind of
17:26pass on the award to my community, man, and my fan base, like, that's what it's about.
17:31What does their support mean to you?
17:32I think, I think with it all, it's the thing I'm most proud of, I think it's the thing Youngblood's known for,
17:36it's a culture, it's a community, and it's an idea that is centred around love and individuality,
17:41and acceptance and unity, so, I think that's what, like, I'm most proud of,
17:45and I'll definitely be dedicating my award to my fan base.
17:48I love the cover, I love the photo shoot, can we talk about it? You look so good!
17:51Oh, thank you, babe, I appreciate it, yeah.
17:53Did you love it when you saw the photo shoot?
17:55Oh yeah, I did, I really did, I've been in the gym, haven't I?
17:57So, like, to be honest, I was like, everyone was telling me to put some clothes on.
18:01Well, you look really good, but somebody was saying something about blue jeans,
18:05you don't normally wear blue jeans?
18:06Yeah, I don't normally wear blue jeans, I'm normally in black, but they got me in them and twisted my arm,
18:10I liked it.
18:11Yeah, but you looked good, so, you could wear a bin bag and look good, though, to be honest.
18:15Thank you, blue jeans and a tramp stamp, that's the vibe.
18:18Honestly, I love that!
18:19And I know you're probably going to get asked this a lot this weekend,
18:21but what does pride mean to you, why is it important for you?
18:24I think, I think it's everything, man, I think to be proud of who you are,
18:28it's the ultimate achievement, you know, I think that's the end goal.
18:32So, like, it's amazing, I think pride in any sort of, in any sort of thing,
18:37a look on a face, a feeling inside is a beautiful thing, it's an achievement for anyone to obtain,
18:44so it's epic.
18:45And how do you feel knowing that maybe you have helped people, like, by just being yourself
18:49and being, people would get to see themselves anew, maybe?
18:52I think it's beautiful, I think that was sort of the whole point of, like, again,
18:55like, Youngblood started because of that reason.
18:58I was actually talking to Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols about this,
19:01about kind of, like, what happened then and what happened now,
19:04and he said it's a lot more centred around love now,
19:06and a lot more centred about, kind of, a revolution of, kind of, oneself, you know?
19:10It's, it's kind of, it's really beautiful.
19:14I thought that was cool, like, the new, the new, what the new fight is,
19:17and it's all about love, yeah, it's cool.
19:18Amazing, well, you look absolutely incredible.
19:20Thank you, babe, appreciate it.
19:21It was so lovely to see you.
19:22Have a belt, you too, have a nice day.
19:23You too, see you later, man.
19:24Have a belt.
19:31Listen, we need to talk about Ty tonight,
19:32because I was the first time last night.
19:34Oh, my God.
19:35I mean, what a way to kick off Pride in London.
19:37It was the best show, just totally joyous celebration of our community.
19:43Everybody was on their feet, having the best time.
19:45Absolutely, and it was just so unapologetically queer,
19:48and I love that about it, you know?
19:49And I think, as you said, Ian, it's the perfect way to start Pride in London,
19:53and so many cultural references.
19:55Celine, who would have thought, you know, the story of Celine Dion,
19:58were she to be aboard the Titanic?
20:00Well, she was.
20:01Well, she was.
20:02Well, and now I know that.
20:03Now we know.
20:04Yeah, she was Rose.
20:05Like, we know.
20:06Love that.
20:07You're giving it away now.
20:08You're giving the story.
20:09I know, I know.
20:10I'm giving it away.
20:11You're going to lip sync for your life both.
20:13Yeah.
20:14Oh, my God.
20:15Genius.
20:16It was just so many moments that I'm like, you know,
20:18you just need to go and see it because it's just so...
20:20Amazing.
20:21But what an amazing way to kick off the celebrations, like you said.
20:23Now we're here, Attitude Awards.
20:24How does it feel to be here celebrating the queer community?
20:27Oh, it feels great to be here, doesn't it?
20:28And we were just chatting just now, you know,
20:30what's amazing about this event and a lot of the events that Attitude put on,
20:34you know, there's real heart behind it.
20:35And I think that you see so many people here, you know,
20:38we see familiar faces here, people who work hard throughout the year
20:41and to get to shine on a day like today.
20:44And, well, are you, for example, you know,
20:46all the work that Ian has done in Cowbridge,
20:48which is the town that you live in, South Wales,
20:50putting on Cowbridge Pride, you've released a book for children,
20:53which is kind of just shows, actually, that, you know,
20:57we're all the same and this needs to be an inclusive world.
21:01And so meeting inspirational people and people who just really put their all into it,
21:06I think that's what this is all about.
21:08And how amazing is it that everybody here is so supportive?
21:11I always feel like when I'm in these spaces, I feel like I could take on the world.
21:14Everybody just champions you and supports you.
21:16Do you know, it's really important, you know,
21:18when we get together, there's so many people we know and we respect,
21:21but there's also people that we meet and are completely, I'm in awe of.
21:26Yeah.
21:27It's lovely to come to these events and get glammed up and dressed,
21:30but the real work starts when you take your glad rags off
21:33and it's what you do in between these events that counts.
21:36And I feel like there's so many people that I admire.
21:39There are trailblazers and have laid the path that we can walk today.
21:43You know, it's an incredible event.
21:45Listen, I could chat to you all day long,
21:47but I think your dinner's out, your lunch is out.
21:49That's it.
21:50Oh my God.
21:51Desserts, Collie.
21:52Don't miss your starter. Don't miss that.
21:54I'll see you Pride tomorrow. Thank you.
21:56See you later.
21:57I was like, there's no way.
22:01Listen, you have been, I've seen you everywhere.
22:03I've seen your face everywhere.
22:05You're absolutely smashing it.
22:07How does it feel to be Ella right now?
22:08Do you know what?
22:09It actually feels really good.
22:10And before when people would be like complimentary,
22:12saying you're smashing it, I would always feel a bit awkward being like,
22:15oh, if I say thanks, does it mean people think, oh, like I'm big headed.
22:19But then if I'm like, no, I'm not.
22:21I don't want to seem like that not confident girl or unconfident girl.
22:24I actually do.
22:25And I'll say it with my chest.
22:26I do believe that I deserve and I've worked like what I'm getting now and all the work I'm getting.
22:31And I feel like there's not many trans people in the public eye.
22:35And so we have to stand out more than anybody.
22:38You know, people that are white, cis, heterosexual get way more opportunities in TV and other,
22:43and especially with cis men in other industries.
22:46And I just think I used to feel bad when I was doing well because everyone else would try and put me down because they were jealous.
22:51Now I'm like, I deserve it.
22:53We deserve it.
22:54The queer people, the trans people, we deserve all the recognition that we get and we've worked hard for.
22:58And I'm really proud.
22:59I love being Ella Morgan right now.
23:00And I love that I'm moving away from the reality style maths thing.
23:04Like, I loved it.
23:05It changed my life.
23:06Don't have any regrets.
23:07But I am more than just like Ella from Mass.
23:10I'm an advocate.
23:11I can present.
23:12I can sing.
23:13I can dance.
23:14I can act.
23:15But nobody has given me that chance until now.
23:16So it feels really good.
23:17But you do deserve it.
23:18And how do you feel?
23:19That sounded so big headed, didn't it?
23:20No, it didn't.
23:21Sorry, guys.
23:22No, it didn't.
23:23We're here to celebrate everybody today.
23:24But I do get the worst imposter syndrome.
23:26I was nervous coming in now.
23:27I was shaking because it is still all a lot for me.
23:29I know it's been two years, but it is still a lot.
23:31It's also just not normal.
23:32Right, we'll just final in because I think the starters are coming out.
23:34Okay.
23:35How do you feel knowing that people maybe see themselves in you and feel represented in
23:38you?
23:39Ah, James, you'll start me off.
23:40I'm emotional.
23:41It does feel surreal.
23:43Like I never really had anyone when I was younger and transitioning to look up to because
23:48there just wasn't anyone kind of in the public eye.
23:50And now that there is, that's amazing.
23:52There should be more of us.
23:53But I still find that mad that people look up to me and like I still get messages or videos
23:58of kids watching me on telly or, you know, messaging me saying that they look up to me.
24:02I don't know.
24:03I can't describe it.
24:04I don't have any words for you.
24:05I just think it's amazing.
24:06Best feeling in the world.
24:07It really is.
24:08Amazing.
24:09Well, listen, your starters out.
24:10Get in there and get your starters.
24:11It's so lovely to see you.
24:12I won't be able to bloody listen to you one day.
24:13I know.
24:14It's all happening.
24:15Oh, you're going to miss the performance.
24:16I know.
24:17I don't care.
24:18See you later.
24:19See you later.
24:20See you later.
24:24She's so funny.
