00:00Hello, I'm Jeremy Vine. Welcome to the most perplexing, puzzle-filled hour on Primetime
00:05Telly. Our celebs are here, our questions are set. It's time for Celebrity Puzzling.
00:10Hello, and as ever, I'm joined by our regular team captains tonight. Let's hope they are
00:30more Captain Cook than Captain Pugwash. First up, she's broadcasting royalty and so good
00:35at maths, she literally wrote the textbooks. It is Carol Vorderman.
00:40Here she is. Facing her is one of this nation's most loved actors, producers and writers.
00:46She's the jewel in our crown. It's Sally Lindsay. Oh, stop it.
00:52So, joining our captains are two celebrities who right about now are wondering what on earth
00:57they've signed up for. On Carol's team tonight is a woman who once joined her on I'm a Celeb
01:02to eat camel's nipples. Sounds awful. I hope it didn't give them the consonant, consonant,
01:07vowel, consonant, consonant. It's Scarlet Moffat. And then on Sally's team, we have a comedian
01:14and actor with a black belt in Taekwondo. Yes, he's a real triple threat, by which I mean
01:19he'll threaten you three times before giving you a roundhouse kick to the temple. It's Stephen
01:23Bailey. Right. So much to get through here. Scarlet, you know Carol really well. Yeah, Carol has
01:32washed my hair. We did a big bush bake-off. The eating trial, wasn't it? The eating trial. Oh, it was horrible.
01:38You got very friendly in the jungle. Yeah, it was just, it was honestly, I don't know if it was trauma bonding
01:43or what, but it was just such a wonderful experience. Well, that's lovely. You've got a little bit of a bond.
01:49As have you two, Stephen and Sally, because Stephen, you've been acting with Sally. I have. Yeah, I've never
01:54washed your hair though. Never washed my hair, which I think is really rude. But Sally's written
02:00this character that is so unlike me. He's like sassy and camp and gay. And I found it such a stretch,
02:09Jeremy. That's the thing about our friendship. She continues to test me.
02:14He's in the Madame Blanc mysteries. He plays a character called John Marsden. He's a gangster, isn't he?
02:19He's a very camp gangster. He's brilliant in it. And a French character or a British one?
02:23He's British, but he speaks really French. Okay, so you don't have to put it on a French accent.
02:25No, I actually do my French in a Mank accent. Which is brilliant. Which is perfect.
02:30Because Stephen's got a French, his degrees in French, you see, which is why I made him
02:34do it. Because he stupidly told me over dinner one night, it went, right, you're in.
02:40Okay, so thank you teams. These four celebs are primed to get puzzling. Let's not disappoint
02:45them. Our teams face a random selection of rounds from our deep pool of puzzles, which guarantees
02:51no two contests are ever the same. They'll be trying to score as many points as possible.
02:55as they try to build up a healthy lead before our final deciding round, which can be a stinker.
03:00That's memory bank. But what is the first puzzle I see emerging over the horizon? It is the incredibly
03:05difficult both to play and to say, intervention.
03:11Because the Venn in the middle has got two Ns. Have a look at the screen. Scarlet Stephen,
03:17big fan of Venn diagrams, Scarlet.
03:18Love it. One of my favourite diagrams, actually.
03:20Yeah, it's a good diagram.
03:21Half of them all.
03:22It's up there, yeah.
03:23So have a look here. You just need to give me answers that fit into the overlap. On the
03:28left you see people on Bank of England banknotes. Yeah. And on the right we need playwrights
03:34and novelists. I'll give you an example, just to get you going. William Shakespeare.
03:38Charles Dickens. Charles Dickens.
03:40Let's see if Charles is there. Yes.
03:43Emily Bronte.
03:44I don't think I can take that. I've only got four names here. William Shakespeare, Charles
03:49Dickens, Winston Churchill, Jane Austen. So this now is to Sally and Stephen. Our first
03:54Venn diagram. Let's see. This is countries that have won the Football World Cup.
03:59And countries that have won Eurovision. And I'll give you an example, France. So two more
04:06please. Has Italy won the Eurovision contest? I'm the worst gay for this, Chanel. I'm not
04:12a Eurovision gay. Okay. Think. Oh, hang on. Spain won the Eurovision contest.
04:18I think it's won the World Cup. I know it's won the World Cup. You're, you're the Eurovision
04:24side. What are you doing? I'm not the Eurovision side. I'm so bad at football and you're supposed
04:29to be Eurovision. This is so bad. Okay. Spain. Spain. Spain, you say? You may as well say
04:38Italy. You may as well say Italy. You may as well say Italy. Germany won the Eurovision
04:42contest. Did they? They're always rubbish, aren't they? They're always like Kraftwerk.
04:48Kraftwerk. That's not German. Is that German? Kraftwerk. I think it's going to be somewhere
04:51more... Is Germany won? Like this is quite obvious, isn't it, if we say Germany or Italy?
04:56Erm, let's say Italy. Okay. Let's say Italy. Yes, well done. You've got the method here,
05:05Carol Scarlett. Here is your first puzzle. Here I need reservoir dogs and balls in snooker.
05:14Oh. So we're looking for any of the colours of the balls in snooker that also features
05:18in the code name of characters in Quentin Tarantino's famous film. I'll give you an example.
05:23Mr. White. There's got to be a black ball. There's got to be a black. There's got to be a black
05:28ball. Yeah. Yeah? Yeah. We're going black, yeah? Yeah. Yeah. So, Mr. Black, let's have
05:35a look. Oh, no. What? There's no Mr. Black in Reservoir Dogs. Sounds like a cool name, doesn't
05:41it? There is on the snooker table, of course. Have you ever seen it? No. I've never seen it.
05:45I've literally never seen the movie. It's surely dark. Yeah, no. Have another go. What other colours
05:51are there? Okay, so there's green, blue, pink, brown, red, obviously. Red. And the white.
05:56Shall we go red? Yeah. We'll go red. Because we've no idea. We're going to go red. Yeah.
06:02Let's see if it's right. Oh, no. So, do you guys want to try that? It's pink. Mr. Pink
06:08is kind of a famous one, yeah. Steve Buscemi, yeah. Mr. Blue. Mr. Blue's there. Yeah. I'm
06:14thinking Mr. Green. Mr. Brown, actually. Mr. Brown. Yeah. Yeah. So, there we go. Perel and Scarlet
06:19misfired. So, now we're looking for... Bring it on. BBC Sports Personality of the Year award
06:26winners and Formula One drivers. Oh, my goodness. Oh, this is hilarious. I'll give
06:30you an example of a Formula One driver who's won BBC Sports Personality of the Year. And
06:36it's Jackie Stewart. Wasn't there one that went out with a Kardashian? I'm not even joking.
06:42There was one. This is a... This is disastrous. No. There was one that went out with a pussycat
06:47doll. There's one that went out with Nicole Scherzinger. Hey, don't worry. Um... I can't remember
06:52the name. Sterling Moss. Let's see. Sterling Moss. Oh, yes. Well, he did actually win Sports
07:00Personality of 1961. Wow. I knew that. Well done. You've chosen a long ago time there. We need
07:07to remember this man's name immediately. Okay. Give me another. Okay. I... Oh, hang on.
07:13Yes. Yes. I know you mean. The very handsome. Yes. Um... Oh, of course. Yes. What's his name?
07:21Lewis Hamilton. Lewis Hamilton. Lewis Hamilton. Oh, my God. That was so annoying me. That
07:30was correct. Out of the bottom of the video. I think you're right about Scherzinger. I think
07:34they did date, didn't they? Yes. Yeah, they did. Him and... That's your little gay brain came
07:38up. Well done. Well done. Can you do any others here, Carol Scarlet? Uh... Well, I was thinking
07:43of Nigel Mansell. Yes. Yes. He would have taken him for sure. Yeah. Damon Hill. Oh, I love Damon Hill.
07:49John Surtees. My sister was in love with Damon Hill. Damon Hill. Well, they're all very
07:53dashing, aren't they? Yeah. Yes. Okay. Carol and Scarlet, next up. Let's see. We need U.S.
07:59states. Yes. Which are also places named for kings or queens. An example would be, let's
08:06say, Georgia. Because that was named after King George. Mississippi. Carolina. After... I don't
08:18know. So, North Carolina. Let's see. North Carolina. Is it there? Yes, it is. Strange
08:26it was named after Charles I of England. Ah. So, Charles gives us Caroline. Oh, yes, because
08:31Harold is the female virgin. That's it. That's it. This is not easy. This is really hard.
08:35Jeremy Byard. Really obscure. Right. Okay. So, let's carry on then. So, we've got... So, is Virginia
08:43one then? Is there... Who would that be after? Yeah. Like, Virgin. The Virgin Queen. The Virgin
08:47Queen. You want to go Virginia? Yeah. Yeah. Virginia. Yeah. You're bang on. You're bang on.
08:56It's named after Elizabeth I. And it's funny. When you say it's not easy, actually, could really
09:00have gone... If you've gone South Carolina, as well as North Carolina, you would have had to
09:04accept it. Yeah. But I thought you'd have gone, no, Karen, can't I like that? No, no, no.
09:07Louisiana is named after Louis XIV of France. You could have just done Louisiana. Right.
09:11Yeah, of course. Maryland. Oh, we've said that. Yeah. Yes. So, there's a few there. But
09:16you did it. You did it. We got... We got two. You got there. Yeah. So, Sally and Stephen, on your
09:21third puzzle, I'm not going to give you an example answer. Okay. There's three points on offer
09:26if you can give me three correct answers. I know you're enjoying this. Any day of the week that features
09:31in the title of a U.K. top ten hit single? I don't like Mondays. I don't like Mondays.
09:40Yes. Well done. Saturday Night Fever.
09:47Saturday Night Fever. The answer I'm taking is Night Fever, which is the single and therefore
09:52it doesn't count. It doesn't count. It doesn't say Saturday. Come on, give us a third suggestion.
09:56Saturday Night. Saturday Night. Saturday Night. What's that song?
10:00What's that song? Just remember doing it. Kids things and the dance was like...
10:03Yeah. It was very good. Saturday Night.
10:07Wigfield. Wigfield. That was the name. That was the one. It's literally... It's funny.
10:13It's quite... Do you want a few examples here? Well, Sunday Girl Blondie. Sunday Girl, yeah.
10:17Friday I'm In Love by the Cure. Yes.
10:19Saturday Night's All Right for Fighting Elton John. But at least you've done well there.
10:23You've got two out of three. Well done. Carol, Scarlett, three points on offer for your one.
10:27Here it comes. So what we need is I'm A Celebrity contestants and EastEnders actors.
10:32This is so Stephen. I'd watch I'm A Celeb religiously.
10:37Yeah, you do. With those two devils. Larry Lamb.
10:40Who was on ours. Obviously was on ours. He...
10:43Was he in EastEnders? Yeah. Go Larry Lamb.
10:46Larry Lamb.
10:48Yes, you're done, Scarlett.
10:50And then Charlie Brooks. I think she's Brooks.
10:54Yeah, I think she might be, yeah. Yeah. Charlie Brooks.
10:59Yay!
11:01So, wonderful, wonderful Joe Swash. Was he in EastEnders?
11:05Joe Swash, yes. Swashy was in there. Was he? Mm-hmm.
11:08Joe Swash.
11:09Virtually every celebrity. Yes, you're so good.
11:13All right, great puzzling. How do you get on at home? Are you staking your claim to puzzling fame?
11:18At the end of the first round, let's look at the scores.
11:20So, we have Carol and Scarlett playing really well. Five.
11:24Stephen and Sally.
11:26Oh, ahead of them. Six.
11:29OK. It's going well.
11:32OK, let me show you what is next. It is word blocks.
11:39I'm going to show you how this works.
11:41You will see a word block with just four of the letters filled in.
11:44Oh, I've got it. You also have a number of letter tiles to choose from.
11:47You need to pick four letters to spell out four words.
11:50Two horizontally, two vertically, just like a crossword.
11:53There we go, look. So, you've got ape, ash, hog, egg.
11:57The first word block is worth three points.
11:59As ever, you're against the clock.
12:01Carol, Scarlett, you're up.
12:03Come on. OK.
12:05All right, when you're happy with your answer, then hit the button.
12:10Here's your first one.
12:11What's this?
12:12It's a way.
12:14Way.
12:15It goes in there.
12:16Move that into the middle for you.
12:17I put yap.
12:18Yeah, yeah, yeah.
12:19Oh, hang on.
12:21Web.
12:22Y.
12:23Bop.
12:24Yeah.
12:25Let's have a look.
12:26Y.
12:27Web.
12:28Bop.
12:29Yap.
12:30I think that's it.
12:31The next word block.
12:32This will be a tiny bit harder, because we're giving you more letters to choose from, so
12:36there are more red herrings.
12:37And this is worth four points.
12:38Reveal the puzzle.
12:40Ooh.
12:41Oh, what do you think there?
12:42It's got it.
12:43It goes up there.
12:44Eye.
12:45Eye.
12:46Man.
12:47Brilliant.
12:48Man.
12:49Elm.
12:50Elm.
12:51Maybe this is wrong.
12:52Map.
12:53Map.
12:54No, no, no.
12:55Air.
12:56War.
12:57End.
12:58Yes.
12:59Yes, yes, yes.
13:00Oh, I got there.
13:01The Elm.
13:02I.
13:03End.
13:04Mad.
13:05Did it drive you mad, Scarlet, slightly?
13:07Mad.
13:08Good at it, though.
13:09You're very good at it.
13:10You see it quickly.
13:11Okay, let's see your next word block.
13:14This is the hardest one yet.
13:15Just three letter words on each side, but even more spare letters to choose from, and it's
13:19worth a massive five points.
13:21Your time starts now.
13:22Top.
13:23Two.
13:24Peg.
13:25Peg, yeah.
13:26Yeah.
13:27Oh, but that could be not air.

13:32I think that might be known.

13:43Yes, P.
13:44Very good.
13:45Time is running out.
13:46Oh, this is hard.
13:47Peb.

13:49Peb.
13:50As per.
13:51Yeah.
13:52And what goes in there?

13:54Orb.
13:55Oh, this is hard.
13:56Peb.
13:57Peb.
13:58Peb.
13:59Peb.
14:00Peb.
14:01Peb.
14:02Peb.

14:06Peb.
14:07Peb.
14:08Oh.
14:09Oh, you timed out.
14:10I'm so sorry.
14:11No.
14:12You got it in the right order.
14:14I know, but you went for it.
14:15Please.
14:16You didn't hit the button fast.
14:17I'm so sorry.
14:18Well, you're the boss.
14:19I am.
14:20I am the boss.
14:21I know.
14:22I know.
14:23So how did you get on with that round?
14:24Did you manage to beat Holmes and Watson over here?
14:27Well done, Carol.
14:28Well done, Scarlet.
14:29Your trip to the letterbox has scored you seven points.
14:31So Sally and Stephen will get their chance with some bonus points at the letterbox in a moment.
14:36Now, before we jump head first into that, it is time to dip our toe into the pool of Adland.
14:40Yep.
14:41Time for a quick break.
14:42We'll be back with more powerful puzzling after this.
14:45See you in a few minutes.
14:49Have a go at this path words puzzle.
14:51Swap the letters in just one column to reveal the answers.
14:55Choose wisely.
15:06Did you swap the correct letters and solve this path words puzzle?
15:12If you did, well done.
15:16Welcome back to celebrity puzzling.
15:18I'm still Jeremy Vine.
15:19Sally and Stephen, you've seen how it works.
15:21Your turn to play word block.
15:22Here we go.
15:24Right.
15:25Okay.
15:26This is worth three points.
15:27So we've got.

15:38Act.
15:39And.
15:40Due.
15:41Toe.
15:42Let's see your next word block.
15:43It's a tiny bit harder because we're giving you more letters to choose from.
15:45So this is worth four points now.
15:46Reveal the puzzle.
15:48Right.
15:49Um.
15:50Okay.
15:51Um.
15:52That's it.
15:53Um.

16:24You stressed me out.
16:25I was so nervous.
16:26It was the bog.
16:27You almost fell down the bog there.
16:28We needed bug not bog.
16:29Goo.
16:30Listen well done.
16:31You got there.
16:32Let's see your next word block.
16:33It's the hardest yet.
16:34Still just three letter words on each side.
16:35But even more spare letters to choose from.
16:37Red herring grand central.
16:39Five points if you get it.
16:40Let's go.
16:41Okay.
16:42So that's orb isn't it?
16:43Orb.
16:44Moo.
16:45Um.
16:46So let's do.
16:47Uh.
16:48What's that?
16:49So some.
16:50Jab.
16:51No.
16:52That can't be that.
16:53So.
16:54Um.
16:55What is that?
16:56Tab.
16:57Um.
16:58No.
16:59That can't be that.
17:00Well you could have Matt.
17:01Matt.
17:02So what's this then?
17:03Oh god.
17:04Teb.
17:05Teb.

17:10I'm gone.
17:11Uh.
17:12Tab.
17:13We did tab.
17:14We weren't happy with it.
17:15Met.
17:16Met.
17:17Met.
17:18Is that a word?
17:19Well done.
17:20Is that a word?
17:21Go go go.
17:22Yes.
17:23Met a word.
17:24Yes.
17:25Met.
17:26I met him.
17:27Tab is a word.
17:28Orb is a word.
17:29Moo is a word.
17:30Well done.
17:31See that's got me.
17:32Good.
17:33You did so well.
17:34The speed of Sally on the table.
17:35All right.
17:36Please head back to your seats.
17:41How many points did you rank up at home?
17:43Let's have a look at the scores.
17:44Let's see.
17:45Carol and Scarlett.
17:46Twelve.
17:47That's not bad.
17:48Steven and Sally.
17:49Oh wow.
17:55This is it.
17:56Sally in the lead.
17:58So.
17:59Carol and Scarlett got to catch up in our next round which is shape shifters.
18:03Let's see how it works.
18:06In this game it's hip to be square.
18:08Because you will see a grid of answers, a question and a geometric shape.
18:12Simply give me the correct answers that fit exactly inside the shape.
18:16And remember you can't, you can't rotate the shape.
18:20Can't rotate the shape.
18:21Yeah.
18:22Well done.
18:23That's really catching on.
18:24So.
18:25There we go.
18:26Now the shapes are the key thing.
18:28So it's two next to each other.
18:30Members of the Pussycat Dolls.
18:32Yes.
18:33Yeah.
18:34I know Ashley Roberts has won.
18:35And Kimberly's won.
18:36They're that top row.
18:37The top row.
18:38You go for those two.
18:39Yeah.
18:40Let's see.
18:41Oh yeah.
18:42You're right.
18:43Nice.
18:44Jessica's won.
18:45Melody's won.
18:46I don't know.
18:47From other bands like the Saturdays and of course Emma the Spice Girls.
18:50That's how you play it.
18:51Do we get the points?
18:52No.
18:53That was an example.
18:54Right.
18:55It's worth asking Scarlett.
18:56So.
18:57Let's go for Carol and Scarlett first then.
18:59And this is your first puzzle for two points.
19:02So.
19:03We're on Greek islands.
19:05Oh.
19:06Nice.
19:07Kos is isn't it?
19:08Crete is.
19:09Yeah.
19:10And Kos is.
19:11Yeah.
19:12Oh I think I went to Crete as a kid.
19:14It was amazing.
19:15Was it nice?
19:16Yeah it was really nice.
19:17Was it?
19:18Did you have moussaka?
19:19Oh no.
19:20I was about seven.
19:21You were laughing.
19:22Oh am I?
19:23What is it like?
19:24Is it like hummus?
19:25Or is it a drink?
19:26No.
19:27It's like.
19:29You can drink the Saka.
19:30Oh yeah.
19:31It's a bit untidy.
19:32So.
19:33Yeah.
19:34Here we are.
19:35Just remember the shape is one on top of the other please.
19:37Yeah.
19:38Crete and Kos.
19:39Crete and Kos.
19:40Crete and Kos you say.
19:41Let's see.
19:42Well done.
19:43And I'll show you the other Greek islands.
19:46Ithaca and Mycos.
19:48Elba Italian.
19:49Sicily Italian.
19:50Ibiza Spanish.
19:51Minorca Spanish.
19:52And Mauritius.
19:53Long way away.
19:55Charlie and Stephen.
19:56Here we go with yours.
19:58Your first shape shifters.
19:59Oh no please help please.
20:00Oh let's see how we do.
20:01Characters in the Three Musketeers.
20:03And here you can see the shape.
20:05One next to the other.
20:06You can't rotate it.
20:07Have you got it?
20:08Yeah.
20:09Have you got it already?
20:10Yeah.
20:11That's so good.
20:12Because I wanted the Pussycat Dolls question.
20:15So.
20:16Athos and D'Artagnan.
20:18Athos and D'Artagnan.
20:19Sally says.
20:20Let's see if it's right.
20:22Yay.
20:23Very good.
20:24Because of course there were only three and Aramis is the third.
20:28Aramis is the third.
20:29Poirot was not in the Three Musketeers.
20:31Zidane.
20:32Pompadour.
20:33That's brilliant.
20:34Zidane was a footballer.
20:35Clouseau.
20:36I would have liked to see that.
20:37Okay.
20:38Karen Scarlop.
20:39Your second puzzle.
20:40The shape has increased.
20:41So now you need to find three answers.
20:44Have a look at the shape as well.
20:46So.
20:47Rodents.
20:48And it's look it's a weird kind of corner shape there.
20:51Oh.
20:52Rodents.
20:53And it's how they're defined isn't it?
20:55Chinchilla.
20:56Yeah.
20:57They look like little rats don't they?
20:58Yeah they do yeah.
20:59Condor's a bird.
21:01Dingo.
21:02Porcupine obviously is a spiky porcupine.
21:05I wouldn't say that's a rodent.
21:07Do you think it's capybara, chinchilla and dormouse?
21:10That's what I'm thinking.
21:12Because a dingo is a dog.
21:15Yeah.
21:16Salamander's like a lizard-y thing isn't it?
21:19Yeah.
21:20I'd go with that.
21:21Yeah should we do it?
21:22Yeah go on.
21:23You read it out.
21:24Dormouse, capybara, chinchilla.
21:26Capybara, chinchilla.
21:27Okay.
21:28I like the way you're playing here.
21:30Let's see if that's right.
21:35So capybara is the largest rodent.
21:38A porcupine does count actually.
21:40Well that.
21:41That is interesting.
21:42Yep.
21:43A beaver is a reindeer.
21:44A beaver is a reindeer.
21:45Obviously not in the right formation for the game.
21:47Yeah yeah.
21:48Woodchuck is as well.
21:49Oh right.
21:50Dingo's more like a kind of foxy wolfy thing isn't it I think.
21:53You did well there.
21:54Yeah.
21:55If I may praise Scarlet.
21:56He was just like David Aspenborough.
21:57Dingo's like a foxy wolfy.
21:59Yeah.
22:00I could hear him.
22:02Yeah.
22:03Moves around at speed.
22:04There we are.
22:05Rodents, well done.
22:06You scored well.
22:07Sally and Stephen, here you are with your next shapeshifters.
22:10Three points at stake.
22:11Let's see the category.
22:12Things Rick Ashley is never going to do.
22:15Oh we like this.
22:16This is yours isn't it Stephen I think.
22:18And look at the shape there.
22:20You can't rotate it.
22:21Isn't it.
22:22Tell a lie.
22:23Let you down.
22:24Make you cry.
22:25Tell a lie.
22:26Let you down.
22:27Make you cry.
22:28And then it's I'm going to let you down.
22:29I think I'm right.
22:30What are you saying?
22:31Tell a lie.
22:32Let you down.
22:33Make you cry.
22:34I feel positive energy.
22:35Feel your leg.
22:36I actually at first thought run around, feel your leg, let you down and I thought that's not Rick Ashley, that's me.
22:49Okay tell a lie.
22:50Let you down.
22:51Make you cry.
22:52Let's see if it's right.
22:53Oh no.
22:54Yeah.
22:55So can we have more of them?
22:57More pussycat dolls.
22:59Rick Ashley.
23:00Yeah he did desert you and say goodbye we're in there.
23:03Hurt you.
23:04Run around.
23:05We're all playing really well actually.
23:07Three points at stake here.
23:08So now we have this one.
23:10Celebrities who've released fragrances.
23:12Oh this is interesting.
23:13And again look at the weird pattern of the shapes.
23:16It's next to each other and a diagonal.
23:18I don't know what Russ Kemp's fragrant would smell like.
23:22I wouldn't like to think.
23:24Oh not Donald Trump surely to goodness me.
23:27Knowing what that surname means in English.
23:30You don't want a fragrance like that.
23:32You don't want a Trumpy smell do ya?
23:34Well I know.
23:35Really?
23:36Well Britney Spears definitely has.
23:38Yeah.
23:39J-Lo has.
23:40Paris Hilton has.
23:41Yeah.
23:42But Nikki.
23:43Maybe.
23:44Do you know what.
23:45I think it could be.
23:47Nicki Minaj.
23:48Paris Hilton.
23:49And Danny Dyer.
23:50Is that Danny Dyer?
23:51Yeah.
23:52Because it's a proper geezer.
23:53A man's fragrance.
23:54A man's fragrance.
23:55A man's fragrance.
23:56A man's fragrance.
23:57Like groups.
23:58Yeah like high karate.
23:59Yeah.
24:00Go on then.
24:01Yeah.
24:02Okay.
24:03We've got to go Nikki Paris, Danny Dyer.
24:04Give it Aish Paris Hilton, Danny Dyer.
24:06It certainly fits the shape.
24:07Is it the right answer?
24:08Oh!
24:09Oh no!
24:10Why do I think Miss Piggy is one?
24:12I think I know this.
24:13Go on.
24:14You tell me.
24:15I think it's J-Lo, Miss Piggy and Donald Trump.
24:17I think it might be as well.
24:18Oh no.
24:19Donald Trump.
24:20Yes.
24:21You know he'll sell anything.
24:22It is.
24:23Donald Trump's scent is called Fight Fight Fight.
24:25There's a shot.
24:26Seriously.
24:27And there's one called Success.
24:29I think he hasn't quite worked out the scent thing really.
24:31Kermit the Frog had one called Amphibia.
24:34And Miss Piggy had one called Moi.
24:36Moi.
24:37And then Lady Gaga, Britney Spears.
24:40A lot of them have done.
24:41You're playing really well both of you.
24:42Okay.
24:43So here we go.
24:44Next one.
24:45Sally and Steven.
24:46Items in Mary Poppins' magic bag.
24:48Okay.
24:49Again look at the shape.
24:50You can't rotate the shape.
24:51What's a kosh?
24:52Kosh is a food.
24:55So it goes on top of the food.
24:57Anything that she pulls out of her magic bag in the film.
25:00Mary Poppins.
25:01There's definitely a lamp in front.
25:02There's definitely a lamp in front.
25:03There's definitely a lamp in front.
25:04Oh hang on.
25:05Let me get the shape of it.
25:06There's definitely a lamp in front.
25:07I can't remember if there's shoes.
25:08But you have to tape measure.
25:09She does that thing where it's like practically perfect in every way.
25:10She does.
25:11She does.
25:12I can't remember about the shoes.
25:13I cannot.
25:14Is it a lamp or a hat stand?
25:15Is it a hat stand?
25:16It was starting to be one of those two aren't we?
25:18So it's either a lamp plant and a kosh.
25:20But if you say tape measure.
25:21There is definitely a tape measure.
25:22Why are you whispering?
25:23If you say tape measure.
25:24I don't know what a kosh is.
25:25I can't get it.
25:26A kosh is like it.
25:27You know like a glass lid that you lift.
25:28Yeah like a steel lid like that.
25:30I can't see.
25:31I can't remember that.
25:32I don't remember bringing a kosh out.
25:33Definitely not handcuffs.
25:34I don't.
25:35Oh God.
25:36Could you imagine?
25:37Or a rabbit.
25:38Could you imagine?
25:39I have a hat.
25:42Sorry.
25:43I think hat stand shoes.
25:44I'm going to go with you darling because this is.
25:47If it's wrong though.
25:48Well I'll never speak to you again.
25:49It's all right.
25:50Oh God.
25:51I'm about to get killed off in my darling.
25:52Go on.
25:56Shall we go for it?
25:57Oh go on.
25:58Yes.
25:59Only because I don't know what a kosh is.
26:00I can't get my head round it.
26:01Hat stand shoes and a tape measure.
26:03Yeah.
26:04Alright let's see.
26:05Is that right?
26:10Goodness.
26:11Anything else.
26:12She also had a mirror lamp plant.
26:13So is there.
26:14Were you thinking of cloche when you.
26:15Yes I know what you.
26:16Cloche.
26:17Oh cloche.
26:18Sorry.
26:19Cloche is a.
26:20Isn't it sorry.
26:21Cloche appeared famously in Fawlty Towers.
26:22Where he's.
26:23He wants to see.
26:24Yes.
26:25It's supposed to be duck and it ends up as.
26:26That's it.
26:27Sorry.
26:28That's an angel delight.
26:29So then what's a cosh.
26:30A cosh is like a truncheon.
26:31Truncheon.
26:32Yeah.
26:33So did you playing at home.
26:34Manage to solve the shapeshifters.
26:35They were good today weren't they.
26:36Hope you did so without rotating the shapes.
26:38At the end of that round.
26:39Let's look at the scores.
26:41Here we go.
26:42Here we go.
26:43Carol and Scarlett.
26:45Sixteen.
26:46Steven and Sally.
26:47About three.
26:48Twenty five.
26:49You are storming it.
26:50Carol has got a competitive head on her.
26:54So you watch.
26:55Yeah.
26:56Yeah.
26:57Yeah.
26:58The fight back starts here.
26:59So we've reached the end of part two.
27:01It really has flown by hasn't it?
27:02No?
27:03Okay.
27:04Join us after the break for even more celebrity puzzling.
27:06If you want to keep puzzling, see if you can complete the vertical word to solve this thirdle.
27:16Best of luck.
27:17Puzzlers, did you manage to complete the thirdle?
27:32If you solved it, well done.
27:34Welcome back to celebrity puzzling.
27:35There's still plenty of puzzling to come.
27:36Which means there's also still plenty of time for everyone to fall out really badly.
27:37Hopefully we should just get on with the show.
27:38Our next round is called heat map.
27:39Here's how it works.
27:40Look at the screen.
27:41For each puzzle in this round, the contestants are shown an image of a QWERTY keyboard.
27:56Above the keyboard is a category.
27:58It says country.
27:59The letters in the answer are highlighted on the keyboard.
28:03What's more, the letters are colour coded.
28:05So if the letter features in the answer just once, it's yellow.
28:08Twice, it's orange.
28:10Three times or more, red.
28:12Yeah.
28:13Go on, anyone?
28:14Morocco.
28:15Morocco.
28:16Let's have a look.
28:17Yes, we're right.
28:18Well done.
28:19That's how you play it.
28:20Happy with that, Scarlett?
28:21Yes, happy.
28:22Good.
28:23Stephen.
28:24Am I happy?
28:25Yes.
28:26I'm so happy.
28:27Are you in life generally a sore loser?
28:29I'm a really bad loser.
28:30Are you?
28:31I lose all the time at these sort of things.
28:34Yeah.
28:35So Carol and Scarlett go first here and this is your first heat map.
28:38Okay.
28:39TV show.
28:40TV show.
28:41Show you the letters here.
28:42There they are.
28:43So yellow once, orange twice, G three times or more.
28:47Yeah, yeah, yeah.
28:48I feel like that's a bit cheating, isn't it?
28:50Having this one.
28:51I take it.
28:52Is it?
28:53Gogglebox.
28:54The X is helpful, isn't it?
28:55Let's see.
28:56Gogglebox.
28:57Oh, Scarlett.
28:59Right.
29:00You don't mind that.
29:01The next one better be Madame Blanc.
29:03Yeah, yeah, exactly.
29:04Countdown.
29:05Does that give you a good feeling when you see the word Gogglebox?
29:08Yeah, it does, you know.
29:09Yeah, because it was such a fun thing to do.
29:11Like, I just got to sit and watch telly with my mum and dad.
29:15If you're all watching this show, what would they say?
29:17I feel like there would be arguments in a good way.
29:20Good.
29:21Because we're quite competitive with each other.
29:23Oh, brilliant.
29:24Yeah.
29:25So they'd be trying to solve it at home, would they?
29:26Yeah, definitely.
29:27That's all we need.
29:28Okay.
29:29Sally and Stephen, here's your first heat map.
29:31Oh, gosh.
29:33Chinese animal.
29:35There we are.
29:37Yellow ones.
29:38Chinese animal.
29:39So what could it be?
29:40Red three times or more.
29:41Oh, is it?
29:42Erm.
29:43Oh, I don't know how you say it.
29:44It's a pan.
29:45Oh.
29:46It's the spiky one, isn't it?
29:47And I don't know what it is.
29:48I can't say.
29:49Erm.
29:50Pat.
29:51I want to say pan.
29:52Oh.
29:53So there's.
29:54It's, it's, I can't, I can't remember what the word, but I know what it is.
29:58Can't be more than one word.
29:59Oh.
30:00Can it?
30:01It could be three words, four words.
30:02I don't know.
30:03And is it?
30:04No, I'm not saying that.
30:06It's not a panda, is it?
30:09There's too many words, there's too many A's.
30:12And.
30:13Orange twice, red three or more.
30:14Yeah.
30:15Yellow once.
30:16Oh.
30:17Chinese animal.
30:18Probably need an answer.
30:19Yeah, I can't, I don't know.
30:20Do we get a point for Gogglebox?
30:22No.
30:23No.
30:24So were you, you were kind of fishing around with a, or was it, you had a word?
30:27Yeah.
30:28It's a long word, and it's P-A-N.
30:29A long word.
30:30Okay, yeah, maybe pangolin, is it, were you thinking?
30:32Yeah.
30:33It's not that, though.
30:34No, it's not.
30:35It's not.
30:36Have a look, you're going to kick yourself here.
30:37Giant panda.
30:38Oh, my goodness.
30:39The long word that starts pan, was in fact panda.
30:42Okay, Carol and Scarlett, here's your next one.
30:46Vegetable.
30:47Oh, I'm good on vegetables.
30:49Excellent.
30:50There it is.
30:51Asparagus.
30:52The A three times or more.
30:53Yeah, we got this.
30:54I like them quite grilled, with a little bit of mayonnaise.
30:58Anything like that.
30:59Go on.
31:00Yeah.
31:01Yeah.
31:02Give us an answer.
31:03Asparagus.
31:04Asparagus.
31:05Is it asparagus?
31:06You've got that so quickly.
31:07All right, Sally and Stephen, here's your next one.
31:10Here is the quality keyboard.
31:11It's an artist.
31:13Er...
31:14Leonardo...
31:15Is it...
31:16Leonardo da Vinci?
31:17It's not Leonardo da Vinci.
31:18Hold on.
31:19No, it can't be.
31:20No N.
31:21No N.
31:22No, it can't be.
31:23No N.
31:24Er...
31:25Oh, God.
31:26And no E.
31:27No E.
31:28Erm...
31:29There's a lot of A's.
31:30A's.
31:31Er...
31:32Hmm...
31:33Tricky.
31:37Might have to bring you to a conclusion here.
31:40Er...
31:42Okay.
31:43I thought I could see a David in there, but that doesn't help, does it?
31:46Salvador Dali.
31:47Oh, Carol, Carol, Carol.
31:50Well done, you.
31:52Salvador Dali.
31:53I would never have got that.
31:55I should have got that.
31:56Okay.
31:57So, next one for Carol and Scarlett.
32:00You're playing well.
32:01You might be catching up.
32:02U.S. Landmark.
32:04Er...
32:06Yellows once, oranges twice, reds three or more.
32:11Oh, for goodness.
32:12They know it, don't you?
32:14They do?
32:15I think they do know it.
32:16Well, obviously, Statue of Liberty, it is not.
32:18Erm...
32:20The Capitol, the White House.
32:22You were going east to west, are you?
32:24Because that might be a while.
32:25Yeah, I'm working my way around.
32:26We could be here a while.
32:27Yeah, we could be here a while.
32:28Erm...
32:29In California, we've got...
32:30It's like Lake Tahoe.
32:32The Rockies is there.
32:33There's no further.
32:35Er...
32:36U.S. Landmark.
32:37Hello.
32:38Anything for me?
32:40Oh...
32:41No.
32:42Oh, time is up.
32:43You know it's...
32:44Grand Canyon.
32:45Oh!
32:46Oh!
32:47This is awesome!
32:48Awesome!
32:49OK.
32:50Well done.
32:51So, I think one more for Sally and Stephen.
32:52Let's see this.
32:53Please.
32:54Please.
32:55Fashion designer.
32:56You're going to get this.
32:57I can tell.
32:58Come on, let's think.
32:59Just go through the designers.
33:00Eve's and they're on.
33:02Well, there's no...
33:03It's not Gautier.
33:04It's not Chanel.
33:05It's not...
33:06Erm...
33:07Er...
33:08I don't know many...
33:09It's not Vivian Westwood, is it?
33:11No, there's...
33:12Er...
33:13Oh, is it?
33:14No.
33:15Vivian...
33:16Oh, is!
33:17Is it?
33:18Yeah.
33:19I don't know.
33:20Have we got all the letters?
33:21V-I-V-I-E-N-N-E...
33:23Vivian...
33:24W-E-S-T...
33:26W...
33:27Oh, there's me...
33:28Is it Vivian Westwood?
33:29Vivian Westwood.
33:30Vivian Westwood is your answer.
33:32Is it right?
33:33Please say it.
33:34Yes!
33:35Well done!
33:36So...
33:37Two V's, I guess, is...
33:40That's quite unusual to have two V's in an answer.
33:43Yeah.
33:44At the end of that round, let's take a look at the scores.
33:46So, Carol and Scarlett on 20.
33:49Steven and Sally...
33:51Still ahead, 27.
33:56In this next round, both teams will tackle the letterbox.
33:59Individually, though, not at the same time.
34:01We're not crazy.
34:02The aim this time is for one team to solve their anagrams
34:04in the quickest possible time,
34:06and for the other team to either beat that time
34:08or fail miserably.
34:09Whichever makes the best telly.
34:11The team that posts the quickest time
34:12at unscrambling their words
34:14then earns a bonus two points,
34:16which could be crucial in this contest.
34:18If everyone is ready, to some degree or other,
34:21let's play Fenundrum.
34:25So, let's see how this works.
34:26You will see three anagrams.
34:27Each a letter longer than the one before.
34:29You must rearrange the tiles to solve the five-letter anagram
34:32and then you move on to the six-letter anagram
34:34and so on.
34:35So, you go down the board.
34:36You will be, as I said, against the clock.
34:38Have a look here.
34:39What can we see?
34:40First one.
34:41Brink.
34:42Brink, yeah.
34:43Anything Scarlett on this one?
34:44Invite.
34:45Invite.
34:46Well done, Carol.
34:47Good.
34:48Ocrathy.
34:49Maybe haircut.
34:51Ahhhh.
34:52So, two points per solved word.
34:55As I mentioned, if you do all three anagrams faster
34:58than your opponent's two bonus points.
35:00Sally and Stephen, you're leading.
35:02Let's head over to the letterbox
35:04so you can face your fate and your Fenundrum.
35:10Remember, as soon as you solve the third anagram,
35:11hit the button to stop the clock.
35:12Your time starts now.
35:14OK.
35:15Oh, God.
35:16Um.
35:17Poker.
35:18Poker.
35:19Poker.
35:20Yeah.
35:21Poker, brilliant.
35:22That's the next.
35:23We've got green on that.
35:24Well done.
35:25OK.
35:26Stir.
35:27Stir.
35:28Can we pull them out?
35:29Yeah, do it.
35:30Um.
35:31So, let's.
35:32S-T-R.
35:33No, that's not going to be a word, is it?
35:37S-T.
35:38Stir it.
35:39Stir it.
35:40Stir it.
35:41Stir it.
35:42Stir it.
35:43Yeah.
35:44Um.
35:45Yeah.
35:46No, it's not.
35:47Stir it.
35:48Isn't it stir up, innit?
35:49I think.
35:50With a U.
35:51No, it's not turned green.
35:52Yeah.
35:53That's probably a good clue.
35:54That's a good clue.
35:55It's a good clue.
35:56It's a good clue.
35:57It's a good clue.
35:58It's a good clue.
35:59It's a good clue.
36:00Um.
36:01Can I think.
36:02Can I think.
36:03I must be in the middle somewhere.
36:05What's that there?
36:06An S.
36:07No, uh, it's, uh, hang on.
36:10S-P.
36:11I've got a T.
36:13S-P.

36:15Spirit. Spirit. You've got it. Well done. Quickly. Time's running low. Well done. Second one done. Third one now.
36:23Cave. Caravan. Caravan. Oh, well done. Straight there. Quickly. Quick, quick, quick. Hit it, hit it.
36:33Well done, Sally and Stephen. You scored six points. We'll see if you win two bonus points after your brilliant opponents are played.
36:39But before Carol and Scarlett face their fenundrum, we'll take a short break. So we'll see you on the other side for more high profile people puzzling.
36:51Why don't you try unscrambling the middle three letters to solve this fenundrum?
36:57Get puzzling.
37:09Have you figured out this fenundrum?
37:15Well done if you got it right.
37:19Welcome back. Before the break, puzzles were solved and points were scored and the seeds of lifelong friendships were sown.
37:25Moving on, it's now Carol and Scarlett's turn to try to beat Sally and Stephen's really rapid time in the penultimate round fenundrum.
37:33So let's get right back into it. You've got three new anagrams coming your way. You must solve them in order.
37:40You need to beat the time set by Sally and Stephen in order to earn the crucial bonus points. Let's get over to the letterbox.
37:49Remember, as soon as you've solved the third anagram, hit the button to stop the clock. Your time starts now.
37:54Oh, what's that one? Flaks.
37:57Flask.
37:58Flask.
