Speaker Johnson speaks to reporters about the Big Beautiful Bill.
Transcript
00:00What is the White House trying to do to help folks get along here?
00:06They're answering questions and trying to address as much as they can, but I'm not going to get in the middle of those discussions.
00:14I just think it's very positive, and I think there's a lot of forward momentum, and we're very optimistic about the outcome.
00:20What's your message to the holdouts?
00:22Look, we've worked on this a long time.
00:24A lot of thoughtful work went into this, and even though the Senate modified some of our product, the extraordinary things in this bill are so important for the American people, and most of our agenda is wrapped up into this legislation.
00:38So it must pass.
00:39We have to deliver for the people.
00:40The president wants to do it.
00:42As he said very well, this is no longer the House's bill or the Senate's bill.
00:45It's the people's bill, and it's our agenda, so we've got to do good on it.
00:48So I think everybody understands that.
00:50I think everybody's trying to get the S, and I believe we will.
00:52Thanks, guys.
00:53We'll see you later.
