00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World, my name is Theo Cusenbett and today we have another
00:05lovely round up video for you.
00:07Now the sun has been out for a couple of weeks now and the best way to take advantage in
00:11a city like Manchester is to go for a cheeky post work drink.
00:15So the purpose of this video is just to run you through some of our favourite spots near
00:18the city centre to go out, sit in the sun and relax a little bit.
00:22We have two bars for you and two streets I suppose you could say or communal areas.
00:28So we're going to run through all of those but we're going to start with Nell's.
00:31Now Nell's is based on campus in the Gay Village and is right alongside the canal.
00:37Nell's is known for its New York City style pizza which it does to a brilliant, brilliant
00:41standard and the beer and drink options aren't bad either.
00:45It's definitely a perfect place to sit out and relax with friends, it's well worth a visit
00:48if you've not made it before.
00:50Now the walk between spot one and spot two is actually ridiculously brief.
00:54As I mentioned Nell's on campus is in the Gay Village and our second spot is actually just
00:59Canal Street.
01:01I've got to say it is just one of the best places in the city to go for a relaxing pint
01:05outside.
01:06It's cobbled, it's pedestrianised, you don't have to worry about cars, you don't have to
01:09worry too much about traffic.
01:11There's always a friendly atmosphere because most of the people who spend their time around
01:15here are just that.
01:16And you have an awesome range of bars and pubs to pick between.
01:20It's the sort of place where you go out at the beginning of the night, you make some
01:23friends and you end up staying out till midnight.
01:24So fair warning.
01:25But I definitely need to recommend this as a perfect spot for a pint when it's sunny.
01:31So the penultimate space on our rundown of perfect places to drink outside is a place
01:35that shouldn't be a massive surprise to anyone familiar with Manchester.
01:39This is Stephenson Square in the Northern Quarter.
01:41We have a massive range of brilliant, brilliant places including some recent openings such
01:45as the Salmon of Knowledge and Nancy Spain's where you can get some brilliant Guinness or
01:48Murphy's as it is a Nancy Spain's.
01:50It's a brilliant place to get a drink and it's a brilliant place to catch the sun as
01:54well.
01:55Now our very last place is Back to a Bar and it's one of Manchester's better known live
02:00music ones.
02:01So let's go have a look.
02:03Now for the final spot on our little tour of beer gardens we're here at the Oast House.
02:07Now I'm sure you will have heard of this one.
02:09It's just off Bridge Street and only about a 5 minute walk down from Deansgate and it's
02:13one of the best live music pubs here in Manchester.
02:17They have a stage here and each night they'll have some brilliant performer out and about.
02:22Beer Garden is pretty substantial.
02:24I've seen it filled with hundreds of people before and the name Oast House actually comes
02:28from a part of the brewing process for beer that was drying the hops.
02:32So this building used to be that and now it deals with the finished product.
02:37It's got a great pint of Guinness and a great atmosphere so it's definitely worth coming
02:41down and giving it a try.
02:43Now there are many more places that we've missed out in this list.
02:46So if there's anything you want to make sure we try and include next time drop us a message
02:49and we'll make sure we get ourselves down there.
02:51But that's all for now.
02:52Thank you for watching and follow Manchester World for more.
