We went out into Manchester to ask people on the street about what makes the perfect pub garden - it is summer after all!

00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Hewson-Bertz. Today I'm out on the streets of Manchester asking people about pub gardens.
00:05Now as you can see it's absolutely the weather for a quick beer after work out in the sun.
00:10We're in Stevenson Square at the minute which is really Manchester's beer garden.
00:14So we're going to ask what people want in a beer garden and secondly whether they think that smoking should be banned from outdoor drinking spaces.
00:21Well I think because I'm from the countryside so I'm very particular about my pub gardens.
00:27You know things. So ideally a little bit of like water, a little stream going through.
00:32You want it close enough to the bath so you're not having to hike a mile.
00:36A bit of music. Yeah I don't want a quiet pub garden. And...
00:42Probably the sun. Yeah that always helps. Yeah maybe like a covered area.
00:48If it's like you know Saturday evening and it's just grown ups it's like if you don't like the smoke go somewhere else.
00:55It's not really that big of a deal. It's outdoors.
00:59So we're going to see that if this one was when we're going twentyyears to open for money.
01:01So we need to think about how people are going through the water.
01:03We're all ready to stop.
01:15And coming back.
