00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Houston Betts and today I'm at Depot Mayfield
00:04for something that I've been looking forward to for a very long time and that's because Manchester
00:08Craft Beer Festival has made it back to the city. Now We Are Beer launched this event. They do it
00:14in a couple of different places each year made up of a bunch of local and national and international
00:20vendors. You have a massive range of awesome beers. We're going to go in and talk to some of the
00:23vendors, understand a little bit about why Manchester is such a great place for an event
00:27like this and you know maybe we'll sample one or two of them ourselves. So let's go in.
00:34So we're inside the Craft Beer Festival now. On your way in you get given these little glasses which
00:40the vendors will fill up with their your choice of beer as you go along. A massive range of vendors
00:45here, a massive range of beers to try. So without further ado let's dive straight in. Now there's
00:51lots to show you and lots to talk about too. So while I show you some of the footage from the festival
00:56itself we're going to talk to some of the vendors who'd made their way to the festival. Try and get
01:00some more focus on their brilliant breweries and cider companies.
01:04So we're a cider maker. We're based down in the south of England in Somerset. We make real
01:12cider, quality cider, 100% fresh pressed apples and we're trying to push forward the craft cider
01:19category. You've already got some amazing craft beer breweries up in Manchester. People like
01:26Cloudwater and people like that. So Manchester is a very happening city. Bristol where we're
01:31from is Manchester feels like it's kind of very progressive and got a real kind of progressive
01:39view on things like beer and cider. So for us being in Manchester was really important.
01:45And you know what we've seen so far is really encouraging. It's a great place.
01:49It's amazing to be here because there's a lot of companies here that I didn't know about.
01:53I just feel like trying their beer and speaking to them. I mean I can connect to them with them.
01:58And you know you don't know what we're having in the future but it's not something that's really important.
02:03You know it opens it up to a smaller brand. It opens up to a new audience and that's super cool.
02:10So as a company the mission is A Love Letter to Brixton and that's what makes it so special.
02:16So that's all for now guys. Hopefully you've seen some of the amazing offerings that this festival has.
02:45It will be circling around the country again and you will have a chance next year to come along.
02:50I can't recommend it enough. There's some great vendors in there with some great great beers.
02:54So without further ado I'm going to go in and I'm going to enjoy them.
02:57Thank you very much for watching Manchester World. We'll see you again soon.
