00:44And we're house hunting in the area of Terrible.
00:49We had a beautiful meeting.
00:51I was up at Airlie Beach on holidays.
00:53We had a really, really strong connection.
00:56If it wasn't love at first sight, it was the next best thing.
00:59After about 12 months, I moved down to Terrible.
01:03I just have a real desire to stay in Terrible.
01:08I love that I can walk the dogs every day.
01:12I've talked to so many estate agents and they've sort of said to us,
01:17well, why don't you go to this suburb or why don't you go out there?
01:20And I was like, why don't you go out there?
01:22I want to stay in Terrible, thanks.
01:24As much as I love this home, there's 30 stairs to get up to the front of the home.
01:31It's hard.
01:32God, darling, I hate these bloody stairs.
01:35And cleaning three levels when there's just Paul and I seems a bit silly.
01:41And we're not old.

01:49But I just want something that's a bit easier.
01:54I just want us to have more time to go to restaurants and drink Prosecco in a pool.

02:07Being both Turians, yes, that means we're both the bull and both stubborn,
02:12but it also means we really appreciate beauty in a home.
02:18And so I think that's really going to make a difference for us
02:21around picking the right property and the right feel.

02:26We really have to have a single level, the Hampton style, obviously proximity to Terrigal.
02:31We have to have a swimming pool.
02:32And I would like something that has a good kitchen somewhere where I've got a small workshop,
02:37small gym and a house that's got some character about it.
02:41We have a budget of around 1.8 million.
02:46Our current house has the wow factor.
02:49And I really want the wow factor in this new house.

02:55And talking of wow, what a place to be house hunting.

08:46And here we are going to look at something that seems to be hitting the mark.

09:24And no garage, which means, you know, sort of no workshop, no gym.

11:46And I love the chimney and I just love these gardens.

12:01Having said that, there's no swimming pool.
12:06It's a beautiful home and it's certainly got the character that you were looking for.
12:11But if a pool can't go in here, it's a deal breaker for me.

13:40I know they specifically would prefer Terrigal, but Forrester's Beach is a beautiful little

13:46It's only a ten minute drive north from Terrigal.
13:48I picked this house because it's got a real beautiful Hamptons style character.

14:00I like the flow from the lounge room into the dining room, and it's really light and spacious.

14:55When we're in our place now, we can look out from the kitchen and just see a little bit of vista through the lounge area.
15:03When you're standing here in this kitchen and you look that way, all you're seeing is a lounge room and the front fence.
15:11So, it's a totally different vista to what we're used to.
15:16Let's hope the kitchen outlook doesn't make this home.

17:15It's a hard decision because even though it's not integral, it's got the pool.

17:22Which home will Bridget and Paul choose?
17:25This is our forever home, so we'd better make the right choice.
17:28Central Coast couple Bridget and Paul are downsizing.
17:34Bridget wants a single level home in Terrigal with a pool.
17:38And Paul is keen on a character home with a great kitchen and a garage.
17:42And it's just a little bit of a narrow.
17:46Darling, the loft house, it has the wow factor.
17:52The kitchen is to die for.
17:55It's probably my dream, dream kitchen.
17:57The thing for me is, darling, it doesn't have a pool.
18:00And, darling, it's at the top of our budget.
18:04So there's no wiggle room to even think about putting in a pool.
18:08With that place just walking in and you pick up the design,
18:11all the different areas flowed very well.
18:13Back deck, barbecue area was great.
18:16And while there's a shed in the backyard,
18:18it's probably not big enough for a workshop or to put all my tools in.
18:22So, yeah, that's just another bit of a hiccup.
18:29Darling, let's talk about the vintage homestead.
18:32I walked in and I just went, wow, this is beautiful.
18:38Backyard as well is lovely.
18:41Then I went, oh, there's no swimming pool.
18:45It's got a lot of boxes ticked for me,
18:48but there are also some big ticket items missing.
18:52There's no pool, there's no garage, there's no workshop, there's no gym.
18:56There's a few things there that really need to be done.
18:59I don't know whether we can stretch the budget that far.

19:12What I'm struggling with is it's not in Terrigal.

19:19There's plenty of storage.
19:20You know, there's garage area there and plenty of other storage space.

19:26Both bathrooms have just been recently renovated.

20:59A pool's going to go all the way across there, right next to the decking.
21:04And then we'll have a little area there where we can have the ice bucket.
21:09I just love it.
21:11That's amazing.
21:12But I'm so glad.
