00:00In every corner of the country...
00:03I don't think it's ever been clean, to be honest.
00:05Grime and Muck are making mugs of us.
00:08It's a bit whiffy.
00:09This is well dodged.
00:11They're looking to take over, and it's time that something was done.
00:15This is rank.
00:17Just some of the things we've eaten.
00:19Toilet. That's nice.
00:21Meet the fearless few...
00:23Woo!
00:24..on the front line of fighting Phil.
00:27It's probably my favourite part of the whole show.
00:29It smells pretty rotten.
00:31Reminds me of Friday night's curry, this.
00:34They're battling bacteria.
00:37Clients ring up saying they've been sick in their car,
00:39and I wouldn't have it any other way, you know.
00:41No, grease is too tough.
00:43Look at that. Beautiful.
00:44And seeing off slime...
00:46It's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it.
00:48..with their amazing cleans.
00:52This time, a giant greenhouse is degunked.
01:01You're actually putting two lots on, because it's that dirty.
01:04You've got to keep going over it and just, er...
01:06..just keep pounding at it.
01:08A mansion driveway transformed.
01:11It's just satisfying seeing it become brand new again.
01:14And we meet a man anything but coy about pond cleaning.
01:19This stuff looks pretty grim.
01:21With all of the ducks and the chickens, it's a bit whiffy.
01:25First, we're in Cheshire to join a duo who add a touch of class to glass.
01:34Mike, owner of MJS Greenhouse Services,
01:38is a dirt-busting Dutchman.
01:41He and his sidekick Simon are glass-half-full kind of guys
01:45with clear visions of how to spruce up a greenhouse.
01:50What's the job today, Mike?
01:52Today, we've got a nice filthy greenhouse, Simon.
01:56Hasn't been cleaned for probably 13, 14 years, this.
01:59What are you expecting to see?
02:01Ooh, a lot of green, Simon.
02:05A lot of green. Nasty.
02:07Nasty, yeah.
02:0814 years of grime dust.
02:11Today's job is jumbo-sized.
02:14They're cleaning this colossal commercial garden nursery.
02:19Yeah. Do some cleaning.
02:21Let's do some cleaning, Simon.
02:24Oh, cripes.
02:26It's a carpet of crud.
02:29There's literally layers of 14-year-old grime.
02:34It's a green goo-covered catastrophe.
02:38It's just green. It's filthier.
02:41It needs a good clean.
02:43We'll get it sorted.
02:45So, doki-doki.
02:47It used to be lovely and clear, but now it's smeared in a layer of wrongness.
02:52Only one machine can tackle this mahoosive mess.
02:57Cue the decrotulator.
03:00I mean, it's got a real name, but let's go with that.
03:03So, the machine weighs 200 kilograms, and then there's me on top of it, so 285-ish.
03:10And that's going onto a glass roof?
03:12Right.
03:13The gutter can hold up to a ton of weight, really.
03:17Ah, the gutters hold its weight.
03:19Still, rather you than me, mate.
03:21Now, this machine is from the Netherlands.
03:24I had it built to my specifications.
03:29Built especially for this type of job.
03:32No knocking one up and trying this at home.
03:35He's a knight in shining high-vis.
03:38I've never fallen to the glass.
03:41I hope I will never fall to the glass either.
03:44It's not a good thing.
03:46It's not going to end very nice, is it?
03:49There's not a lot of room for error here.
03:53Powered by a motor, Mike's magic moss mangler jets out water through rotating brushes.
04:00And dreary smeary turns to shine in no time.
04:08It needed doing, it needed doing, is to film a crust of algae and grain.
04:33Crud coverage on a greenhouse can affect how crops grow,
04:37because it changes how much light comes in.
04:4010% of light loss is a lot of loss.
04:45So, you lose it in your growth as well.
04:47So, if you reckon you've got, like, 20 acres of strawberries
04:52and you lose 10% of light, you lose 10% of harvest on 20 acres.
04:58That's a lot of strawberries.
05:00So, that's why clean glass is the key.
05:03I heard not enough light can also turn fruit and veg evil.
05:07So, er, clean your windows, guys.
05:10This glass might be gleaming, but coming up, Mike meets a filthier foe.
05:16It's greenhouse sludge that's even harder to budge.
05:20Are you pleased?
05:21Hey!
05:22Hey!
05:23Hey!
05:24Ha-ha!
05:25Caw!
05:26Never-ending, that!
05:30While Mike mangles the mank, we've been scouring the web for some of the rankest,
05:36most soiled and filthy floors we Brits boldly walk on with our bare trotters.
05:42As well as general grime, the average person sheds their entire outer layer of skin every
05:52two to four weeks, meaning millions of dead skin flakes make up the majority of household dirt.
05:59And if you don't clean it up, scientists collect it up and use it to make clones of you,
06:06which they release on an island in the Pacific Ocean.
06:09A little vacuuming motivation for you there.
06:12Just look at those layers of someone.
06:34Coming up, find out what predicament these passionate pressure washers are facing at a fancy mansion.
06:41This is rank.
06:42Just clearing it out so somewhere it's got the water to go, but it's just never-ending.
06:48And we discover the solid secrets behind pond cleaning.
06:52Over the years, a large accumulation of silt and sediment has settled at the bottom.
06:56And it's going to be a very mucky one.
06:58Next, we're in Surrey to meet a dirt-busting duo who tackle exceptionally tough outdoor cleans.
07:13Carl and...
07:14Where's your name, Charlie?
07:15Oh, there we are.
07:16There we are.
07:17Of pristine exterior cleaning are the Dream Extreme clean team ready to de-gunk any gaff.
07:24Try saying that after a few Friday, Sherry's.
07:27What have we got to do there?
07:28You've got the stonework above the garage, it's black.
07:30Yeah.
07:31So we hit that first, then we start on the driveway.
07:34It's going to look wicked though, man.
07:35Oh yeah, it's just going to be over the moon.
07:38Today's pad is particularly palatial and our boys are ready to do battle with the build-up of black scum on the driveway and garage.
07:47It ain't been cleaned in ages though, has it?
07:50I don't think so, by the looks of it, mate.
07:52It's quite bad.
07:54Grot and grime, you've had your time.
07:58That is black.
07:59It's in better days, isn't it?
08:00We'll start with this bit and then we'll start with this.
08:04Sounds good to me, mate.
08:06I think it's a great job.
08:07The stonework's really stained, as you can see there, so we'll be giving it a good pressure wash down and you'll see instant results bringing the stonework back to brand new.
08:15These two dirt destroyers have worked together for six years.
08:20I was doing fencing for 11 years and that was just, I just didn't enjoy it anymore.
08:25So I met one of my pals and he was doing window cleaning.
08:28So I just kind of carried on, built it up, built it up and now we are where we are now.
08:32The best part of the job, I'd say, is the customer's reaction at the end, because we go in there and obviously get it all back to brand new and they can't believe it.
08:40Come on then, lads, show us what you've got.
08:43This is rank.
08:46I'm clearing out this drain because if we fill them up with moss then we're going to block all of their drainage up.
08:52So this was already blocked so I'm just clearing it out so somewhere that's got the water to go.
08:57But it's just never ending.
09:00Don't worry Charlie, it's not hard work down the drain.
09:04So I've just connected the hose up to the mains water and that's going to be filling up the bin for the pressure washers to draw through for the water.
09:11The first step in operation black scum removal is pressure washing.
09:23Whoa!
09:24Stubborn grime gets battered in the storming of the slimy stonework.
09:33When you first hit it with that pressure washer and you get them first clean lines through it, you know what the stone's going to look like.
09:42It's like, oh yeah, that's going to be proper that is when we're finished.
09:47Oh yes, scum on the run.
09:53With Charlie busy tackling the garage, Carl makes a similar start on the crud covered driveway.
10:00Time to terminate well-trodden filth with more water blasting from a nozzle powered by an electric motor.
10:11This deserves some slow-mo.
10:18Mankiness magnificently mangled.
10:30Just cut in all the edges round driveway.
10:34Now we're going to use the surface cleaner just because it gives a larger coverage and it's just a lot more efficient and quicker of cleaning.
10:43Time to bring out the big guns.
10:46The surface cleaner shoots out high-powered rotating jets of water which annihilates gunge and goo.
10:53Unbelievable. Best bit of kit I think I've got, to be honest.
11:04Oh, I love it when you talk dirty tools.
11:12Just satisfying. It is so satisfying.
11:14Yeah, that's what I'd say, yeah.
11:15It's just satisfying seeing it become brand new again.
11:19More of this absolute filth later.
11:23Next, it's more of the brilliant boys that are smashing some glass cleaning.
11:34The next greenhouse under Sieged by Slime won't hold the weight of the cleaning machine,
11:39so Mike's going to attack it with his bare hands.
11:42What a hero.
11:44So, especially mate for glass cleaning, this.
11:48And that tiny nozzle. Oh, Mike.
11:51If you are all right.
11:55I'm sure it will.
11:57To help him clamber around up there safely, because I'd definitely be falling through that if it was me.
12:03Mike's got some state-of-the-art, highly specialised equipment.
12:07The zimmer frame.
12:08A zimmer frame? Oh.
12:10Don't expect too much of it.
12:11Well, I did have high hopes.
12:16But yeah, the moment's passed.
12:18Supposed to make life safe.
12:20It all becomes clear to you in a bit.
12:22So basically, those two reels, they go to the gully, the greenhouse, and then the stabilisers go on the glazing bar.
12:40So, you're like, all locked in, eh?
12:44Safe as houses.
12:46OK.
12:47I'm going to get it on the roof now.
12:50Right.
12:51Finally, time for some cleaning.
12:53No mossing around.
12:55Walking stabiliser thingy Bill, he's off to see off the scum.
12:59So basically, Mike, erm, puts the glass cleaner on, but he's actually putting two locks on, and the cleaner just dries as soon as you get to the other end, so you've got to keep going over it and just, er, just keep pounding at it.
13:16The dynamic detergent is destroying algae in general grot.
13:32Mike's so masterful at this, cos he's from the land of tulips and tomatoes.
13:37In Holland, the area where I'm from, it's full of glass houses to grow flowers, tomatoes, whatever, vegetables, you name it, it's there.
13:45So it's very likely, in your school holidays, you end up working in a glass house.
13:51Then I came here, and then I realised that England has glass everywhere.
13:55So I started to invest in machinery, and then I suddenly had contracts for the National Trust.
14:02If you go for it, you have to go for it 120%, otherwise you might as well not bother.
14:08Stick around for the crystal clear climax that is the before and after shot.
14:15The internet is awash with devoted cleaning pros and passionate pressure washers, and we can't get enough.
14:24We're about to wade into the work of Ed Barham of Crystal Clear Aquatics.
14:29He regularly posts videos online of how to demolish scum and weed out, well, weeds.
14:36I run an aquatics company based on installations of ponds and water features, and maintaining the clearance of ponds and features.
14:45Today, I'm going to go on site to drain and clean out a very large pond, which over the years, a large accumulation of silt and sediment has settled at the bottom.
14:54It's going to be a very mucky one. Promises, promises.
15:01This is the pond that we're going to be cleaning.
15:07Oh, don't threaten me with a good time.
15:10Look at these chaps over there.
15:12It's time to decrudify their crib.
15:16Wait, who's the other guy?
15:19So, initially, we've got an awful lot of gear and equipment that needs to be set up.
15:23Turns out it's a family member, Dave.
15:26Don't worry, Ed. We'll do the introductions.
15:28This is going to be the fish holding tank.
15:30There's a lot of fish in the pond.
15:31Things are going to be fully drained and emptied so that we can get rid of all of the silt and the slurry and the muck that's accumulated at the bottom.
15:38And then we've got a couple of other very, very large tanks, which we're going to use to reclaim and hold a lot of the original pond water.
15:46It's really important when you're emptying and draining a pond that you retain as much of the old, clean water as possible.
15:53And they're really important that the fish and the livestock go back into already established, mature water.
16:05As the pungent pond water is pumped out, Ed dresses in this season's finest waders, ready to fish out the fish.
16:14Get an idea now of the size of some of these fish.
16:16Which one do you reckon is the biggest?
16:19Come on, you.
16:20No need to be coy.
16:21You are a lovely, lovely fish.
16:26And they're being very docile.
16:28Right.
16:29Fishing number three.
16:31They'll be housed in this paddling pool thingy they built earlier, while Operation Sludge Attack begins.
16:38This stuff looks pretty grim.
16:40There isn't usually much of a smell when you're emptying out ponds.
16:45But with all of the ducks and the chickens, and it being a very heavily stocked pond, it's a bit whiffy. It's not very nice.
16:53So if you've ever wondered what fish do all day, they're mostly just ****.
17:00It doesn't want to be wasted. It's a very, very good natural kind of organic fertiliser or mulch.
17:05Rather you than me, Ed.
17:07The mulch is either removed by hand, or it's sucked off the pond liner by a sludge vacuum.
17:14Oh, yes.
17:15Until every inch of the manky mulch is removed.
17:21So the next process of this clean is we need to give the whole thing a really good jet wash.
17:34Oh, we love this bit.
17:36The objective here isn't to try and be too clean and over fussy with the jet wash.
17:40I don't want to get the liner looking pristine and back to being brand new.
17:43This sort of natural patina actually is quite desirable, so it's a light jet wash.
17:48Bacteria is blasted, and after hours of this slime removal, most of it's been sent packing.
18:08We're now in a position to get the pond filled up.
18:10So we'll drop this in and get pumping.
18:13I'm also adding an anti-blanket weed treatment to prevent some of the algae which is inevitably going to grow.
18:23Give it a week or two, and this will become really, really clear.
18:26And, as if by magic, a week later and the pond looks good enough to drink.
18:35If you were parched and had no self-respect.
18:38It's not quite crystal clear.
18:42I reckon over the next couple of weeks the filtration system will take out all those final suspended particles and really polish the water.
18:48But it's a vast, vast improvement on what it was.
18:50Oh, Ed. It's clear to see you've smashed it.
18:54Next, we've been searching the dirty corners of the internet to bring you just the thing to clean up your bling.
19:07If your chains are crusty, then bicarb's your best buddy.
19:14Gleaming gorgeous!
19:20If your copper's crud-covered, vinegar, flour and salt could sort it out.
19:26There's a genie in this one. Just give it a rub and nothing happens. He must be shy.
19:39Gold-looking old?
19:40Apparently, soaking your fancy stash in washing powder and turmeric before buffing it with a toothbrush can make it flash-tastic.
19:56We're back in Cheshire with greenhouse grind fighters Mike and brother-in-law Simon.
20:06Mike's been blasting 14-year-old muck with a mighty detergent.
20:12Simon now switches the feed from glass cleaner to water and it's time for blast-off.
20:18It's just a pressure washer, as you would do your patio slabs.
20:23And basically, he's going back and he'll do two runs of that as well and sometimes more.
20:29This has been absolutely caked on. Green and horrible stuff.
20:34And then basically, it dries of its own accord and anything else just gets washed off with the rain.
20:39In the battle of mud versus Mike, there can only be one winner.
20:50And it's not the mud, to clarify.
20:54Dirt, do one.
20:58If I see you on this roof again, things are going to get even uglier.
21:02It is actually quite satisfying, yes.
21:08Especially this particular one has just been hard work, really.
21:14Well, more for Mike.
21:16But, no, it is very satisfying once you see it.
21:22It looks like a satisfying job, if you can stomach being up there.
21:26Nearly finished now. It's just literally about half way back on the last run.
21:43Fingers crossed he's happy with it.
21:45I'm sure he will be.
21:47I think he's probably baking up there as well, because the sun's out now.
21:51But, I think he's getting close. I can feel the spray.
21:54There's the final surge. Are you pleased?
22:00Hey!
22:02Never ending it.
22:05There once was a greenhouse covered in grot.
22:08It was excellently cleaned and now, well, it's not.
22:12Considering the state it was in, I'm pretty pleased how it came up.
22:16Yeah, so, hopefully they don't leave it another 14 years.
22:20Coming up, brutal conditions up the pressure at a roof clean.
22:25If you want an indication for how cold it is, I left a wet rag in my van last night.
22:35Here it is.
22:37And we come face to face with a hammer bath of horrors.
22:42Back in the last room to clean a bathtub full of feces.
22:46It wasn't the nicest job, but we stuck it here, got it done.
22:48Now, we're back in Surrey with determined dirt destroyers Carl and Charlie.
23:03They're the perfect partners in crime to tackle dirt and slime most of the time.
23:07As far as bosses go, it could be worse. I mean, he has his moments, we all do.
23:12Sometimes we're really stressed out, we're getting at each other's throats.
23:16You've got to do what you've got to do, you know.
23:18What you've got to do is only say good things about the boss when he's listening, I reckon.
23:23Right, back to work.
23:24Today, they're at a super snazzy mansion.
23:28Stage one was pressure washing unsavoury sludge off the garage and the driveway.
23:34Stage two is about to take things up a gear.
23:39Amongst the grime is an ugly fungus called lichen.
23:43If I was to just do a pressure wash the area, you'd still be left.
23:46I don't know if you can see it, but you've got like white lichen here and you have black spot as well.
23:51Lichen, also known as stubborn so-and-sos, is an unsightly mould.
23:56It comes from the dark side of the moon and means to eventually take over the entire world.
24:04This plucky pair are preparing to use a potent chemical to exterminate it.
24:09Look at that for a tracksuit.
24:17Cool.
24:18No time for fashion on the front line of grime fighting.
24:22What they're about to do requires full PPE.
24:26Suits you, sir.
24:28You can back them off a bit.
24:30It's like a bra, innit?
24:32Lovely.
24:34Oh, bless him.
24:37You can pull them down a bit.
24:39They're right up your arse crack.
24:41You can sort that out.
24:44What?
24:46Carl's sloshing on something called sodium hypochlorite.
24:57Charlie's about to attack the garage's scuzzy stonework with the same stuff.
25:01I'm about to go up on that roof up there, apply the sodium hypochlorite, and then we'll go up there and rinse it off once it's done its thing.
25:10It's like a really strong bleach, basically, and anything biological, it just dissolves, basically.
25:17If your driveway's got the same ferocious fungi invaders, diluted bleach could send it packing.
25:24Just grab the loo cleaner, goggles, and rubber gloves, and get out there.
25:29You know you want to.
25:30These two dirt exterminators give it a final rinse off, and they're done.
25:46I'm happy with that.
25:48I'm over the moon, to be honest.
25:50I mean, you don't get much better results.
25:51I mean, this hasn't been cleaned, I don't think, since they've moved in.
25:55As you can tell by the other stonework on the property, it just, and now from that to that, you can see the difference.
26:00Thanks to some powerful power washing and potent chemicals, the garage's stonework has gone from black as night to original white.
26:10And the driveway, once grime covered, is now gleaming.
26:15Yeah, I'm really happy with it.
26:18Mince, mate, mint.
26:20Eat your dinner off it.
26:21We're out of here.
26:26Next.
26:27When snotty noses and grubby mitts make a pram untouchable.
26:34Jamie Lee of Teddy's The Pram Cleaning Company in Cheshire is your filth-fighting fairy godmother.
26:41Today we've received in this double-push chair that unfortunately has been stuck inside of a barn shed for quite some time now.
26:46And as you can see, it's covered in quite a lot of cobwebs.
26:50We've got lots of muck here, lots of dust.
26:53The absolute state of that.
26:56Remember Rosemary's Baby?
26:58Well, this is what you'd push baby Satan to the shops with.
27:01And today the aim is to get this back to looking brand new again for the two little ones that are going to be sat in it.
27:06I'm going to remove all the materials from the frame.
27:10We're going to remove the wheels.
27:17Use some nice soapy water.
27:19Get that nice and spalted.
27:22Brush down the frame.
27:25You've missed a bit actually.
27:26Ah, there you go.
27:27You got it.
27:28Making sure we get all of those cobwebs and all of the muck that's settled right into all those cracks.
27:35We're now going to brush down all the materials that have got cobwebs and muck on top.
27:41As you can see, there is quite a lot.
27:43The cobwebs are quite bad on the inside of the seat.
27:49Now that we're inside of the seat cover and we've actually gotten rid of some of that muck already,
27:54I can see that there is quite a little bit of mould.
27:58I'd be spitting a dummy out if I had to clean that muck.
28:02But Jamie Lee is about to soak the mouldy material in a scented solution to improve the pond.
28:08What we'll do is fully insert the cover, leave that for an hour.
28:14Now it's time for the wheels to get a really decent scrub.
28:17My favourite part of a clean is that a really good scrub.
28:24While we're all hoping the toothbrushes never get mixed up at her house,
28:28it's time to check on the material.
28:30And what I'm going to do is just make sure that all of the subs are out of the materials.
28:35Then what we'll do is just put them on the line to air dry, check those over, make sure they're all nice and clean.
28:40It got hung on the line apparently, but she didn't film that bit.
28:45So let's just marvel at the once dirt and drool covered cramp.
28:49Now completely transformed.
28:52Satan's baby carriage, we cast you out.
28:59Next up, we're in South London to join two dashing defenders of the deep clean.
29:04Meet owner of So Fresh So Clean, Aaron.
29:08I'm a commercial cleaner and I like to get tough on dirty cleans.
29:12Yes, Aaron!
29:14And with delivery like that, we'd follow you to the ends of the earth.
29:18He's joined by his dad, Raymond.
29:21So today we're doing a job for a lady that has passed away.
29:25Her daughter's called and asked us to do a clean kitchen.
29:29Has it been clean before then or is it the first?
29:30What they showed me, it doesn't look like it's been clean for a while.
29:35Yeah, when I see the kitchen, there's some sticky bits.
29:40All right.
29:42Today's mission is to obliterate a big old build-up of kitchen ick.
29:47OK, so it's a bit of a pickle.
29:50We've got some of these, like, marks here.
29:52We'll probably have to scrape them off, make it a bit of solvent cleaner.
29:55Yeah.
29:56To help lift these stains off.
29:57There's cupboards in chaos and sticky surfaces covered in hard-to-budge sludge.
30:04Microwaves and a bit of a pickle, but give that a good scrub
30:07and then, yeah, we'll get that sorted out.
30:09Aaron started the company ten years ago.
30:12I was literally just ticking over and then I won a contract
30:16to clean 156 houses on a building site.
30:19Once we started doing that, I went full-time into the cleaning business.
30:23Ever since then, I've been building it up.
30:24And when the muck gets tough, Dad happily lends his muscle to the hustle.
30:31I think we're definitely the dream team.
30:32Yeah, yeah.
30:33We get a lot of work done.
30:34Yeah.
30:35We work hard.
30:36Yeah.
30:38First, are vacuums used to suck up the loose crumbs and crud.
30:42A load of peppercorns here.
30:43Somebody like to see them.
30:48There you go.
30:49Let's see what that are.
30:51You're going to need some product on that, mate.
30:53You got anything?
30:54So, I'm just grabbing out another caddy.
30:55We've got all our cleaning products in.
30:56So, we've got polishes.
30:58So, we'll use those for the woodwork.
31:01We've got all-purpose cleaner.
31:02I can use that on the kitchen sides.
31:05We've got some cream cleaner.
31:07We've got some bleach spray.
31:08So, we'll use that anywhere, pretty much.
31:10Some limescale remover.
31:12And yeah, I think that's pretty much everything we'll need, really.
31:16Just every product invented, then.
31:18He's learnt the hard way it pays to be prepared.
31:20Right, Aaron?
31:22The worst job we've ever done, I would say,
31:24was back in the last year to clean a bathtub full of feces.
31:29Say what?
31:30Feces.
31:32Yes, you guessed it.
31:33That bathtub there is full of feces.
31:35Well, I did tell them not to eat chicken vindaloo in the bath.
31:39Our job is to get the house as clean as possible.
31:42So, here now, you'll see what we did.
31:45So, we had to rip up all the carpets.
31:48Obviously, we've cleaned the bathtub, as you can see.
31:51Pretty big difference.
31:52It wasn't the nicest job, but we stuck it here, got it done,
31:56got it all scrubbed up.
31:58And yeah, hopefully they've not filled it again, fingers crossed.
32:02From doo-doo to kitchen goo,
32:05it's time to de-scum the sink.
32:07And this one's covered in a common kitchen nightmare.
32:11Seen more in hard water areas,
32:14lime scale is a crusty residue
32:17made up of calcium and magnesium.
32:20The blue stuff on here is a lime scale clean-up,
32:24and it should help lift up the majority of the lime scale.
32:29There's years and years and years of build-up on here.
32:33On here.
32:37While Erin attacks the GAC...
32:44..it's time to dust off some cobwebs and dive back online
32:47to discover more satisfying cleans.
32:50If the nooks and crusty crannies in electrical items get forgotten,
32:58then the filth prevails.
33:03This gaming fan grew tired of the grub on this minging machine,
33:08so scrubbed it with the kind of love Luigi has for Mario.
33:11Ah, old school.
33:22Coffee machine need a cleanse.
33:24Taking care to keep the electrical bits away from water,
33:28washing detergent and a scrub could brew it the world of good.
33:32Functional and fill-free does it for me.
33:43Now for another of our cleaners with cameras.
33:46Meet unassuming Sid here,
33:49of Partridge Exterior Cleaning in Staffordshire.
33:52Over 80,000 people subscribe to his YouTube channel.
33:56Thanks everyone for tuning in today.
33:59To watch the videos he uploads of his daily cleaning jobs.
34:02What a world!
34:04Today he's filming just for us,
34:07joined by his old mate Jess.
34:09And as they say in the Midlands,
34:11it's absolutely Baltic.
34:13Today we are going to be steam cleaning a roof.
34:16It's just a bungalow job today, so it should be fairly simple,
34:18but, yeah, it's super cold, the roof is completely frozen,
34:21so without further ado, I'll do a walk round of the job now,
34:23we'll get set up and then we'll get cracking, so yep, nice one.
34:27The pair were prepared to clear some moss,
34:29but that looks like a whole fugly forest of it to me.
34:33If you want an indication for how cold it is,
34:37I left a wet rag in my van last night.
34:42Here it is.
34:48Freezing conditions are snow joke
34:50when there's a grotty outdoor job to do.
34:51So here is the job in question, as you can see.
34:55Nice amount of frozen moss on there.
34:57We are using steam on this, so superheated water,
35:00and that is going to sort of melt the frozen moss off of the roof
35:05and make life a lot easier for us.
35:07Sounds like things are about to get hot and steamy.
35:10Flat tiles like this, they're made of concrete,
35:13so super hard-wearing, super tough tiles as well,
35:16so there's no worry about damage.
35:18None of them are going to fall out.
35:20They are completely solid.
35:21Yeah, yeah, yeah.
35:22Get to the bit where the moss melts.
35:24I'm so here for it.
35:26Normally, moss just sort of peels away.
35:29Oh, not this stuff.
35:31Gosh.
35:33Moss, you're in so much trouble and you don't even know it.
35:36This is what we're using.
35:37So this is a mains water-powered machine.
35:40It's basically the electric part of this runs the pressure washer
35:43and then this section here is a diesel-powered boiler
35:47and that's what produces the heat.
35:49To really turn the heat up,
35:51Sid's about to start pumping that pressure washer.
35:54This all connects up to a foot pedal that I have up here.
35:57So I'll just pop my feet on that and that acts as my trigger.
35:59Ah, here we go.
36:06This magnificent machine blasts warm water all over the plants
36:10preserved in ice which clears most of the moss and manc.
36:16That hits the spot.
36:21Steamingly satisfying.
36:23OK, folks, so first section is done.
36:27Incredible difference.
36:29I am sweating.
36:31Me too.
36:32But for other reasons.
36:34I think it's still only one or two degrees
36:37but when you're doing this job you warm up real fast.
36:42I'm actually dripping with sweat.
36:48Amazing result.
36:49Very pleased.
36:51Next, a punchy chemical is applied to zap the parts a pressure washer can't reach.
36:57Chemical treatment is just in case there's anything left over.
37:00Any stains, anything organic left on that roof that we may have missed.
37:06And would you look at that, it's like a brand new roof.
37:09And the carpet of crud is demolished, changing the roof colour completely.
37:15If you're going to do a job you might as well do it to the absolute maximum
37:17and ensure that you can walk away knowing in years time it's going to still look fantastic.
37:25Nice one, lads.
37:30Coming up, find out how a blast of bleach can be life-changing.
37:34We've done deep cleaners before for people where they literally say,
37:38thank you so much, I finally feel like I've got my life back.
37:41And we meet a sofa that's so stained, it's the stuff of Pro Cleaners dreams.
37:47This is the tool we use to clean it, so let's go ahead and hope for the best.
37:50Now, we're back in South London with a father and son duo on the front line of fighting filth.
38:05I've got to use my favourite cleaning product, elbow grease.
38:07Elbow grease.
38:10Elbow grease is the only grease allowed round here.
38:13That and the one with John Travolta.
38:19Next, a mingy microwave means Aaron's going to masterfully blast it with bleach.
38:24I'm going to put some bleach spray in there.
38:27Like that.
38:29Put all the grime in there.
38:33And we are going to start scrubbing.
38:37Right, let's start with the door.
38:39The chlorine in it zaps bacteria by destroying the cells of the germs.
38:45Brutal.
38:47Open the windows if you're using it at home.
38:50It's strong stuff.
38:51Apparently, microwaving a bowl of lemon slices in water makes a microwave easier to clean.
38:59Worth a go.
39:01It'll make your kitchen smell nicer at least.
39:03Loads of satisfaction, Tydy, in doing these deep cleans.
39:06You can really see in people, sometimes we're changing their lives.
39:10We've done deep cleans before for people where they literally say,
39:13Thank you so much.
39:14I finally feel like I've got my life back.
39:16That you've come in, you've cleaned the house.
39:17I can now try and look for work or spend time with my family again.
39:22And to me, it's very important.
39:24That's our guy.
39:26Saving lives, reuniting families and giving dirt a firm boot in the unmentionables.
39:32It's tough stains.
39:34And sticky patches are a nightmare to get off sometimes.
39:37So a bit of solvent cleaner just to try and take off that little sticky patch.
39:39I'm going to have to give it another scrape gently.
39:44When Kitchen Ick sticks firm, it's time for the scraper of salvation.
39:50Tydy, you can't really see it. Look.
39:52Some of those little things that will just mud me, because I know it's there.
39:56There we go. Sticky patch.
40:00Go on.
40:02It's very difficult to clean, because there's so many grooves.
40:05If a crevice is crusty, you bet your perfectionist Aaron's going to find it.
40:12There's nothing half-baked about this kitchen clean.
40:21Yeah.
40:22I think we've done a decent job.
40:23Yeah, yeah. It's all right. It's all good.
40:25Lovely. Give everything a scrub down and everything.
40:28Overall, really happy with it.
40:30Very impressed, so thank you very much.
40:31No problem.
40:32Yeah, Dad's done well.
40:33We'll have a little induction when we get back, have a review.
40:36See if he deserves that pay rise.
40:38We'll go from there.
40:39It was a tough one.
40:40So, yeah.
40:42They came.
40:46They scrubbed.
40:48They conquered.
40:51Back to Bedford and on to the next one.
40:53Time to jump back online and marvel at how mucky some people's homes are.
41:07Not like ours, eh?
41:08Mine gets clean just before someone comes round.
41:10Oh, vacuum hair, my old nemesis.
41:21I will not sleep until I rid the world of your blight.
41:28Goldfish gone missing.
41:30Cleaning the tank will reveal them once more.
41:33I find a scrub and a rinse is most efficient.
41:38Quick!
41:39Or it'll be obvious those books are just for show.
41:46Keep fighting the grime out there.
41:49One filthy fireplace and one secret scuzzy corner at a time.
41:54Our final fling in the fight against filth takes us to Glasgow.
42:03These partners in grime, Michael and Pete, have run their company
42:07Extreme Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning for seven years.
42:11So, as I went to job number two, Michael.
42:16Went so far.
42:18Looks pretty bad.
42:19They must fully manage around 50 mucky jobs a week.
42:23That's us just arrived at the next job.
42:26This one's a sofa clean.
42:28Soiled, stained and sticky.
42:30That must have been some party.
42:32Where was my invite?
42:34This household got a couple of young kids in it.
42:37So, as you can see, loads of sticky handprints and spills.
42:42Ah, yes. Kids.
42:44That'll do it too.
42:46Let's get set up and we'll just get going.
42:48I'll start the process as to how well the full sofa.
42:52Vacuum it.
42:54So far, so obvious.
42:56Suck up those crumbs and kiddy crud.
43:01We pre-spray and agitate the sofa.
43:03We've just inundered that before we then extract
43:07and make it nice and clean again.
43:10A secret chemical solution, eh?
43:13Now you're talking.
43:14We're talking.
43:18Pre-spread machine set up.
43:20The chemicals are all in the machine.
43:22Sofa, so good then.
43:24Come on, I had to do it.
43:26This is the tool we use to clean it.
43:28So, let's go ahead and hope for the best.
43:29A handy hack for sprucing up your sofa is sprinkling baking soda all over it before vacuuming it up.
43:47Or just by your throat.
43:49You're welcome.
43:51From a soiled start, this sofa is now gleaming and ready for more sticky mitts.
43:56So, that's what I was done for the day.
44:01I thought that came up pretty good.
44:03The person was pretty chuffed.
44:05Another filthy feat for this dream team.
44:08Good day all round.
44:10Good day. Happy.
44:11Yeah, you seem it.
44:12Happy days.
44:13See you later.
44:15Join us next time as more dirt is demolished.
44:19An industrial job reveals the savage side of pro-cleaning.
44:23I'm gonna blow myself off because sand gets absolutely everywhere.
44:29We witness the obliteration of a moth infestation.
44:33We are ready for them.
44:34We are fighting the moth.
44:35We're killing them.
44:36We're cleaning the carpet.
44:38And we meet a cleaner making an unbelievably big splash online.
44:43Around 150 million on one video, which is just insane.
44:48Feast your eyes on more amazing cleans brand new next Monday at 9.
44:51Next tonight, it's a race against time to save Lola's sun on 5 star.
