00:00um so Sarah congratulations on winning the Highland Cross 2025 fantastic achievement thank you yeah

00:16how did you find it ah i mean it was just like a really nice day for it and someone that like

00:21it's great on the course of the atmosphere so yeah it's a really nice day out is this the first time

00:26you've taken part yeah yeah i've never done it before so what inspired you to take part um i i actually

00:33was filling in for um cat grace who's won it the last few years and she's unfortunately injured so

00:39asked me if i wanted to spot at the start of the week so last minute filling and how were conditions

00:45during the race um it was pretty tough because there was a headwind the whole way so um that made

00:51parts of the running bike hard but yeah um i mean the summer's out so i can't really complain

00:58did you target winning the event um not particularly i knew um that i might be in with a chance um

01:08duty from the hill runners at the highland hill runners um messaged me earlier in the week to

01:13say that i might be able to chance but um you know the main aim was to just enjoy it like it's a cool

01:18course to do so yeah i just really enjoyed being able to take part do you have much experience taking

01:24part in dual affluence um maybe a long long time ago so um back when i was kind of a teenager i was a

01:33triathlete but um those days were kind of beyond me now i've not kind of raced my bike for quite a long

01:40time um so yeah i did when i was a little bit younger they're obviously not beyond you because

01:45you're just your women's champion so yeah yeah maybe i'll have a second wind and um i know it's

01:52just minutes after you've crossed the finishing line but do you have designs are coming back next

01:56year oh yeah um definitely you know if i can um find a team which will have me next year then i'd be

02:03definitely up for it well congratulations
