00:03The owner flew to Kansas City and asked him to move, and he told him no to his face.

00:06The guy writing his $300 million check, he's like, nope, I'm good.

00:10And guys in the locker room were like, stop talking.

00:12When Devers was in there going on and on about.

00:14So, like, I am mad at Devers, I've been mad at Devers, and I'm happy he's gone.

00:18I don't love the return on the surface, so I'm mad at Breslow about that,

00:22but cheaping out on another big deal, if that's your issue with this ownership group,

00:26I've had that issue for a long period of time.

00:28Now, here's the one tricky thing when you're Breslow, and listen,

00:32he was like the 15th candidate for this job.

00:34He probably wouldn't have gotten this job anywhere else,

00:37but just because you do what the owner says doesn't mean you keep your job.

00:41Like, we've seen it before.

00:42Other guys did what they thought the owner wanted him to do and still got scapegoated.

00:46Sort of like being the head coach of the Boston Bruins.

00:48Like, you can do what you think is right, you still might lose your job,

00:51but for the time being right now, this is what he pulled off.

01:00lose any sleep over Devers being gone.

01:02Butterguy in the Twitch chat says Devers swallowed his pride and went to DH.

01:06That's after he stormed off and maybe requested a trade.

01:09He left the facility, did he, for a while?

01:12He left spring training.

01:14So, swallowed his pride and got to do half the work.

01:17And now he won't move off of that.

01:18We're going to pay the exact same amount to do half the work.

01:21And the only thing that you're good at.

01:22Like, he was the worst third baseman in baseball defensively for the last, like, eight years.

01:27Right.

01:28Like, the worst.

01:28He pitched a fit about moving off a third.

01:31Then they offered him third back when Bregman got hurt, and he's like, now I'm good.

01:33So, I just, I can't imagine defending that guy.

01:36But if you wanted more in return, I get it.
