00:00Where do the Giants plan on using Devers?

00:02I know last night he was the DH, but you got Matt Chapman on the IL.

00:05I know Devers said yesterday he would play wherever they need him to play,

00:09but where do you think this season you're going to see him?

00:13Yeah, they're not going to play him at third,

00:14and I talked to Buster Posey yesterday about it,

00:18and Buster basically said, look, we don't think it's fair.

00:22Chapman's coming back in like two weeks, so we don't think it's fair.

00:25He hasn't played third.

00:26It was the point of contention back home.

00:30Let's not have him go out there for 10 days,

00:33and then he gets yanked from that spot.

00:36I think they're going out of their way.

00:38Let's try to be overly communicative and listen to his feedback,

00:44talk to him through all this, and make him as comfortable as possible.

00:49So he's going to be primarily the DH for now.

00:52He's got a first-base glove on the way.

00:54I think he said it's arriving today.

00:57He doesn't even have a first baseman's mitt.

00:58I mean, he's literally never played first.

01:00But I think the Giants believe he can do it,

01:02and he's agreed to take ground balls and work pregame on first-base defense.

01:08And so the next few days are going to be dedicated to that.

01:12And I don't think it's an impossibility that this weekend when the Sox are in town,

01:17I don't think it's impossible that you would see Devers play first base

01:22in at least one of those games.
