00:00Why don't we start it off with Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle.
00:04Of course, they come back 1-1, even though they were thoroughly outplayed.
00:09Here's what Carlisle needs to do different here as they get ready for Game 3.
00:13Everything that's already happened doesn't matter, other than the score of the series.
00:19And so we're going to move forward.
00:21There's a lot of things we have to do better.
00:23We realize that we've we've I think we've lost, at least on the by the scoreboard, six out of eight or seven out of eight quarters.
00:34And so we're playing a great team.
00:37And so we've got to make it make adjustments and we got to play better.
00:43Oh, what a revelation that is.
00:45So here's an idea.
00:47You're home tonight.
00:48Why not win?
00:49I mean, like, go out and win the game.
00:53I play harder.
00:54I mean, you know, everything.
00:56Try harder, play harder, rebound better.
00:58You know, they they took, you know, I think Oak City got Halliburton out of his game.
01:03I don't think he did well at all.
01:05And then I don't think on the Oak City side that Hardenstein did well at all.
01:12Do that again.
01:13Shut him out.
01:14Kick him out of this series.
01:15Get him out of the paint, off the glass, out of the floater range.
01:19The guy makes floaters all night long.
01:21Usually it has a double double.
01:23He's a rebounding machine.
01:24Clear him out.
01:25You got two bigs.
01:26Get involved.
01:27I think that see, I'm a little thin for me when it comes to trying to block out this big monster.
01:34He's got way, you know, 40 pounds on him, at least maybe 50.
01:38And then but I think Turner can get violent with him.
01:42It's like I feel like Turner's afraid to bang with him.
01:46And all he wants to do is pull up and shoot and score.
01:49I need him to block shots, defend and bang and get rebounds and block out.
01:56That's what he needs to do in order to get themselves the victory tonight.
02:00All right.
02:00Let's hear from Halliburton now.
02:02Of course, he has had a very slow start to this series.
02:06He did have, of course, the game winner in game one.
02:08But in terms of the volume of points, they just have not been there for Halliburton.
02:12Here's what he says Oklahoma City has been doing to slow him down.
02:16I feel like at the point of attack, you know, they got more more guys than, you know, most teams in the NBA that are high level at the point of attack.
02:26You know, they're really connected on the defensive end.
02:29And I feel like they they mix up coverages.
02:31They I think Coach Dagnall isn't afraid to just kind of do things on the fly.
02:36You know, he he doesn't do everything that's like very traditional.
02:39He will, you know, if you're trying to get a 33, he'll come double, like just out of nowhere, you know, that they've really done that all year.
02:47But I just feel like they're willing to mix things up.
02:49And, you know, I think the biggest thing is just personnel, like their personnel is different than than everywhere else.
02:54But, you know, I think playing two games against these guys is really good.
02:58It gives me more film to watch, see where I can be better.
03:01I feel like I haven't been great by any means the first two games.
03:04So, you know, I'm just trying to take what I can to prepare me for game three.
03:09And just trying to be the best version of myself.
03:12Well, here's the thing.
03:13He, you know, in let's face facts, in all of the series leading up to it, whether it was Cleveland or Milwaukee or the Knicks or whatever,
03:22I thought that he got to his spots and got space easily, like and particularly against the Knicks.
03:30I mean, this guy got off so many good looks, wide open, step back, Jays.
03:35How about the game-tying Jay that bounced, you know, 10 feet in the air and still went in the hole?
03:41Remember that one?
03:42He's getting to his space as easily in all those other series.
03:46In this series, he's up against the best defense in the league.
03:49And they're not allowing him the space.
03:51They're not allowing him the freedom to find his spots or to find space.
03:56Caruso's in his face.
03:59The torture chamber.
04:00It doesn't matter.
04:02Shea Gilgis.
04:03They guard the perimeter better than anybody.
04:06They guard the entire half court better than anybody.
04:09And he's unable to find his rhythm because he can't get to the places that he's so used to knocking down shots.
04:16It's really that simple.
04:17And I got to be honest with you.
04:19I, you know, Shea Gilgis is still getting to his mid-range shot.
04:23What they need to do is keep him out of that, push him back outside because he can't shoot from outside.
04:30He can shoot inside that stripe.
04:32He can shoot inside, you know, the elbows and on the wings as good as anyone in the league.
04:38He's the MVP.
04:40They have to force him back and out and not let him get to his spots.
04:45And if the Pacers want to lose, then Halliburton can keep not getting to his spots and not getting to his space.
04:52He needs space to get off that crappy jumper of his.
04:56He shoots it from his hip and he shoots it high in the air.
04:58He needs space to get it off.
05:00And he hasn't had any of that.
05:02They've just played great defense on him.
05:03They decided they were going to take him out of this series.
05:06And they have for the most part.
05:0817 points for him is, that's hell.
05:11And I'll tell you what, like I said, you know, on the other side,
05:15the Pacers have done a good job of keeping Hartenstein out of the paint where he's so effective with that floater.
05:24He usually is 12 to 14 a game with 10 rebounds.
05:27He's a double-double every time.
05:29The other night he had three.
05:30It was embarrassing.
05:31So both teams are doing a good job with specific guys that kill him.
05:35He's a double-double every time.
