00:00So what are the Panthers saying about being home finally in Sunrise after their long trip out to Pharrell, Alberta?
00:08They did what they needed to do. They got themselves at least one game in Edmonton, as Matthew Kachuk would say.
00:14Now we've got home ice again. We need it.
00:17Just such a great feeling. We worked hard. I thought we played two good games.
00:23Tonight was definitely a step better than game one, but they're a great team. We're a great team.
00:31Could be out of here 0-2. We could have been out of here 2-0. It's just crazy how it works.
00:371-1 going back home. Now we've got home ice.
00:41Pretend there's zeros across the board now. We've got home ice, and let's take advantage of it.
00:46So one of the things that I think is key, Mike, is that I just think Bobrovsky is so tough.
00:51And in this building, if they get behind him, he could shut them out.
00:56Like, that's how good he is. I think it's almost impossible to shut out that team, the Edmonton Oilers,
01:01with Drysaddle and McDavid on the ice. They got other problems.
01:06Nugent Hopkins is banged up, right? Like, they've already lost the Heimlich maneuver, Hyman.
01:11So I think the edge for me tonight is Bobrovsky back home.
01:16Now, I mean, obviously that could be ruined by McDavid and Drysaddle.
01:19They could have two goals each, and it'd be, see you later.
01:22But this guy in this building, in this setting, 1-1 with five to go, I think he's more dangerous,
01:30in my opinion, than Skinner.
01:32I think Skinner's done great. I'll give you that.
01:35But, you know, he's allowed a lot of goals, okay?
01:40So it's not like the guy – he's not shutting this team out like he did in the last round.
01:47He had a couple of shutouts. He's given up – what has he given up?
01:50Five and three. He's given up eight goals already. Am I crazy?
01:55So both of them have been getting lit up because they're both so dangerous.
01:59But there's never been – like, it hasn't even been close to an under in this series.
02:04Yeah. Well, they've both allowed eight goals here through the first couple of games.
02:11You know, and it's the quality of it.
02:13You know, you could say, well, Bobrovsky probably stops that overtime winner that Marshawn scored, right?
02:17Because it wasn't really a shot.
02:18It just kind of –
02:19Trickled in.
02:19It just kind of slid past – it trickled in past Skinner.
02:23But those are the breaks.
02:25And finally, before we give you the numbers, here's Paul Maurice.
02:28Man, these games have been awesome.
02:29Yeah, it's been fast.
02:32Like, from the bench, the speed seems to be really good.
02:37And, you know, the first period in game two, there's lots of action at both ends of the ice.
02:43But neither team is casual with their defense at all.
02:46It's – both teams have, I think, really strong defensive schemes.
02:50It's just a testament to the quality of the talent level, the depth of the talent level.
02:55Because it feels from the bench, they're getting up and down the ice really fast.
03:02All year, I said they'd go back to the finals.
03:04The Oilers, they're dangerous.
03:05These two teams are meant for each other.
03:08It's like they're lovers.
03:10That's how good they are.
03:11Like, I think they've set themselves apart from the rest of the NHL.
03:16I mean, this is two years in a row, it is.
03:18Because they are better than every team in the league.
03:21Both of them.
03:22It's very true.
03:23So, Sergey Bobrovsky is the first goalie in NHL history to open the Stanley Cup final
03:27with back-to-back 40-plus save performances.
03:32He's better.
03:33Not bad.
03:34He's – yes.
03:35I mean, look, if you stack it up, you know, you get into those overtime situations,
03:41you'd rather have him than Skinner on the – and that's taking nothing away.
03:45Skinner has been so much better than anyone could have ever thought.
03:49Yeah.
03:49But this guy's a little bit better than him.
03:51Now, here's the Ryan Nugent Hopkins situation.
03:54His status is uncertain for tonight.
03:57I think Knobloch said today he would be a true game-time decision.
04:01Of course, we don't know what the injury is because, you know,
04:04we're not allowed to know anything like that.
04:07But we'll see if Nugent Hopkins will be out there tonight.
04:09If he's half-assed, I don't want him in the lineup.
04:12You know, I got some guy at 60%.
04:14He's not worth my time.
04:15I need guys that, like, literally that are going to play all out, onions out, hard,
04:22physically, mentally, doing everything.
04:25Not some guy that's, you know, laboring.
04:28I don't care what his injury is.
04:30He's injured.
04:31What are they doing here?
04:32Put him out there.
04:33They'll lose.
04:34I don't care what his injury is.
