00:00This is Kazuhiko Nakamura.
00:15And we take a look at the tail of the tape for this Bantamweight attraction between Tenshin Nasakawa and Victor Santean.
00:23See Santean enjoying a height advantage but giving up a lot in terms of reach in this one.
00:31Round one is now underway and former world champion Daiki Kameda was talking about this fight earlier on this week and he echoed basically the same sentiments that Tenshin himself had.
00:44He said that this could be the trickiest style matchup of Nasakawa's young career but if he could dominate the fight or score a knockout it's absolute confirmation that he could be ready for a world title fight.
00:57Yeah and this is one of the questions that has surrounded Nasakawa since he has turned pro as a boxer is you know how legitimate is he really but that 10 round decision win over Jason Maloney last time out should have answered any question about his legitimacy as a professional boxer.
01:14For anyone that still sees him as a kickboxer who is sort of an interloper in this world.
01:20But you heard it in the pre-fight package from Santean.
01:23He said well they got it wrong about me.
01:25He said they got me wrong.
01:27And he said Nasakawa has never faced a boxer like me.
01:32So we will see.
01:33And again Nasakawa has faced some really good boxers Maloney being one of them.
01:37But we'll see if stylistically Santean can sort of present Nasakawa with a puzzle that he can't solve.
01:44Yeah and Nasakawa kind of admitted as much.
01:47He said that Santean's style in his words is the style I hate the most.
01:52And he also said joking about the Mayweather fight I also don't do well against bald fighters.
01:58And again where have the cool fighters gone?
02:02Well Nasakawa clearly has a sense of humor.
02:05Knows enough not to take himself too seriously.
02:08Which is one of these things if it can at least for a North American audience if it can transcend the language barrier.
02:15It can endear him to a lot of people.
02:18Some self-awareness.
02:25Santean with a lot of upper body movement.
02:27And his offense historically really centers around body work.
02:32He's a very dedicated, a prodigious body puncher.
02:35And one of the stylistic questions coming into this fight is can he get that type of work off
02:41without running into some problems with the hand speed, the counter punching ability of Nasakawa.
02:47If you're going to target the body you are going to leave yourself open to those types of counters.
02:50Yeah and one of the things you'll notice about Santean is that he's not overly fast.
02:54He will work behind his jab.
02:55His jab is not overly fast but it's well timed and accurate.
02:59Whereas you see Nasakawa right now flashing a fast accurate jab.
03:02But Santean gets over more with rhythm and timing than he does with pure speed.
03:17Nice left hand of the body there from Nasakawa.
03:19You saw Nasakawa dive in for that left hand of the body but also eat a right hook upstairs.
03:23Closing moments of a quiet first round between Nasakawa and Santean.
03:30We throw that round to set a shot of the basket for Nasakawa and Santean.
03:32Thank you, Father.
03:33Good job.
03:34 Sindaram okay.
03:35Please sense it may open about this.
03:36Okay?
03:37We encouraged everybody.
03:38Let's pray.
03:39Okay?
03:40We're good.
03:41Good job.
03:42Now.
03:43Let's pray.
03:44We're good.
03:45Now.
03:46Okay?
03:47I don't know how to do it, but I don't know how to do it.
04:17Round two begins.
04:32Koryoshi Nasakawa standing between rounds like a late career George Foreman.
04:36If I'm a channel broadcaster George Foreman, I would point out that Santillan was dry when he came out of the locker room.
04:44And so it might take him a couple of rounds to get warmed up.
04:54That's a very good point.
04:55George Foreman, as much as he's known for the drive-by uppercut, also noted for commenting on the moisture or not of the fighter in the opening couple of rounds.
05:03First 30 seconds of every fight.
05:05If one guy has not worked up a sweat, George Foreman is going to let him go.
05:07George was dialed in in the early rounds.
05:09Yes.
05:09A stiff jab there from Nasakawa.
05:19The Santillan, Kory, is from La Romana in the Dominican Republic, hometown of Tito Horford, who was Al Horford's dad.
05:25Hometown of a long list of Major League Baseball players, including if you're from Toronto or Cleveland, you recognize the name Edwin Encarnacion.
05:32All from La Romana.
05:37Santillan learned the sport in the same gym, in the same area, roughly, as Joan Guzman.
05:43Yes.
05:43And also, like Joan Guzman, who won gold at the Pan Am Games in the 90s, he won bronze at the 2015 Pan Am Games.
05:52Morgan, you and I were both there for that.
05:53Yeah, we covered that event.
05:54Lost to Joselito Velasquez in the eventual gold medalist.
05:58Joselito Velasquez lost to him in the semis.
06:01Counter to the body there from Santillan.
06:04We mentioned how well he finds routes downstairs.
06:07He did it right there with a nice counter-right hook, but back comes Nasakawa with a right hook of his own, and then a left hand down there as well.
06:13Absolutely.
06:14And one thing you'll notice about both of these guys, there are some stylistic similarities in the sense that each of them is willing to give ground to sort of walk you into a punch that they want to land.
06:26But both of these guys, when they're a little bit uncomfortable, unsettled, they will just take a walk around the ring to reset.
06:35And the question I had about each of these guys heading into this fight is what happens when they face a guy that's just not willing to give them the time and space to do that little walk around and reset.
06:45And each of these guys might be that guy for the other guy.
06:48We will see.
06:52Nice counter there from Nasakawa.
06:55Santillan falls short.
06:57Just a half-inch step back there from tension, and he comes back with a two-punch combination.
07:02And again, Santillan is more timing and rhythm than speed, but in that sequence you saw the difference in speed, how much more of it Nasakawa has, and the difference it can make.
07:15Right there again, you see it.
07:22Nice left hand over the top there from Nasakawa, who's growing in confidence.
07:27Very good second round there for tension, Nasakawa.
08:31Anyway, let's see if Tenshin Nasakawa could build upon what was an excellent second round.
08:39Really starting to find his timing in countering Victor Santayon in that round, which has been his hallmark in both kickboxing and in boxing.
08:49And anyone that's been in the gym with him, including Angelo Leo, a current world champion, said that of the fighters that he sparred with in Japan, Nasakawa was the best.
09:00And it was because of that hand speed, because of the timing and counter punching.
09:03And again, what I think gets lost in these discussions is how context dependent speed and timing are in any sport.
09:15And that's sort of what makes what Tenshin Nasakawa is doing that much more impressive.
09:21Because it's sort of like when you watch an NFL game and you see a guy with world class speed, a guy that comes over from track and field, a guy that's running a lot of track.
09:30The world class speed is sort of dependent on you knowing all these other things about football.
09:36Because if you just take a pure sprinter and they don't know about football, can't read a defense, can't accelerate or can't decelerate, they don't really have a chance to impose that speed on you.
09:46So you have Nasakawa, who's really fast as a kickboxer, doesn't necessarily mean he will be fast as a boxer until he has mastered boxing.
09:54So when you see that speed, it's also a function of how well he has adapted to boxing, how much he's learned about boxing specifically, as opposed to just importing that speed from kickboxing.
10:06Because he does not box like a guy who has come over from kickboxing.
10:10Corey, we see these fights all the time where these converted kickboxers, one thing they don't do is put any weight on the front foot because they're not used to putting weight on the front foot because you don't have to as a kickboxer.
10:20Chopping left hand there from Nasakawa.
10:21That's a great point.
10:22And obviously, you know, there have been kickboxers, many of them, that have made that transition well.
10:28You think about the Klitschkos or our friend Chris Algieri or many others.
10:32Nice uppercut there from Santillon.
10:34Generally speaking, the converted kickboxer looks kind of like a converted Muay Thai fighter.
10:39They have a high guard and there are intricacies to boxing defense that they don't always employ.
10:44You don't see that with Nasakawa.
10:47There's a complexity to how he's operating in there defensively and how he's countering.
10:51Because all of these things are functions of learning, as you said, the intricacies of boxing that allow you to import foot speed, punch resistance, whatever.
11:01Look at exchanges here on the inside.
11:03It's Nasakawa getting the better of them.
11:05But Santillon finding some routes to the body.
11:09And again, we go back to that early question.
11:11If Santillon does get to the body of Nasakawa, will he pay the price?
11:14In these exchanges on the inside, the answer has been yes.
11:17Yes.
11:18And then the question becomes for Santillon, how high of a price is he willing to pay?
11:25How long is he willing to pay that price?
11:28And is it worth it for the work that he can get done on the inside?
11:30Yes.
11:30Yes.
11:30Yes.
11:31Yes.
11:31Yes.
11:31Yes.
11:31Yes.

12:11Yes.
12:12Yes.
12:13Yes.
12:14Yes.
12:15Yes.
12:16It's round four now officially underway a little bit of housekeeping there from the
12:41official. A little too much Vaseline on the face of Victor Santeon. If we're going to make another
12:48analogy, Corey, Tenshin is like the person that speaks a lot of languages growing up because when
12:54you look at him as a boxer again, he doesn't have it. It's like learning a second language and not
12:59having an accent in it. And so some people are bilingual. He's more like Dikembe Mutombo who
13:04speaks 11 languages. Kickboxing, Muay Thai kickboxing, karate, MMA, boxing now does them all fluently.
13:15Yeah, he's generally fluent in fighting. As we're seeing here against Victor Santeon in a style
13:22matchup that he described as the one he likes the least. Yes, this is a puzzle for him to solve.
13:29Which is another interesting aspect of Nasakawa and kind of an insight into his mentality.
13:34hearing him talk about the Maloney fight, him immediately talking about how much fun he had
13:40in the fight and how he enjoyed the, again, using that term complexity of solving Maloney and solving
13:48a world-class fighter. Something that is kind of unfathomable to people who do not do this. It's like
13:56when you hear people talk about liking solving difficult mathematical equations. People who are good at it
14:03enjoy it. And Nasakawa enjoying landing left hands like that as Santeon takes a step to him.
14:09And again, inviting these exchanges that right now Nasakawa is thriving within as he counters to the body
14:15with a nice left hand. Yeah, and Santeon is landing. Yes. Nasakawa is just landing more and he's landing the
14:23more eye-catching shots. And that is a function of his hand speed. And what you're seeing from
14:29Nasakawa right now is a lot less of the performative punching. He understands with the guy he has in front of him, he has to get down to business.
14:35As we start to see a trickle of blood from, it looks like, the right eyebrow.
14:41The outside, yeah, of Nasakawa's eye. So whether he's getting the best of these exchanges or not, that is telling a different story.
14:51Yeah, that's a real cut and that's in a bad spot, Corey, because, again, anyone that's watched a lot of boxing or participating can tell you that's where it runs into his eye.
14:59Big looping right hook that connected right on that cut a moment ago from Santeon, but a rocket of a left hand there from Nasakawa.
15:11Maybe understanding that there's a bit of desperation now.
15:15That's what I was about to say. Nasakawa seems to understand the urgency of the situation.
15:19Urgency rather than desperation, yes.
15:21Yeah, and that he, one of the ways to defend himself is to turn up the offense.
15:25You see Santeon now throwing with a lot more authority than before.
15:32Good action round as the intrigue has increased in this contest as we take a look at the cut and Nasakawa taking a seat for the first time.
15:55The upshot of it is Nasakawa has his cut and Santeon now has a target.
16:18And, again, if that blood runs into his eye and that vision is obscured now, Santeon has an avenue now to land that right hook.
16:27Now, round five.
16:34So round five begins as the corner of tension, Nasakawa tries to get that cut under control.
16:44Trying to minimize the theoretical target for Santeon.
16:50That was a sizzling overhand left right there.
16:53Yeah, that was right on target from Nasakawa.
16:55Now, Nasakawa, fast puncher, flashy puncher, not an arm puncher.
17:01Punches with authority, but his record does not reflect, you know, one punch punching power, but those punches do hurt.
17:07Sort of like Clarissa Shields in that sense, where she doesn't have a ton of knockouts, a ton of knockdowns, but she obviously clearly evidently hits hard.
17:15Until she moved up to heavyweight.
17:18Until she moved up to heavyweight.
17:19Very different story.
17:20But that has been the case for Nasakawa even as a kickboxer, Morgan.
17:24Yes.
17:25He wasn't known as a concussive puncher.
17:27Speaking of concussive moments there, heads coming together once more.
17:32But he clearly punches with authority and punches hard enough to make you think twice about what you're going to do on offense.
17:38Nasakawa just gliding into range there to land a pair of left hands and now a left hand to the body.
17:48And again, that quick straight left hand is causing Santijan all kinds of problems.
17:54Well, it's exactly what we were talking about, Morgan.
17:56You see, when Santijan tries to go to the body, Nasakawa has an answer instantly.
18:01And as Santijan is trying to get to the body and he leans over, he's giving him opportunities for those uppercuts as well.
18:08Yes.
18:09Good body work there from Nasakawa.
18:11And the interesting thing about watching Nasakawa, who, again, came into the sport as a high-level operator,
18:25but also came into the sport from another sport, is that you're seeing him learn and apply these new lessons in real time.
18:32Because in previous fights, we haven't necessarily seen him work this effectively on the inside and cut angles on the inside like we're seeing right now.
18:44And that right there was a true boxing movement.
18:47It's the type of thing that we've seen Santijan do to other people in the sense that he works his way inside,
18:52gets to really close range, but can also use a shoulder to create space for himself.
18:57Nasakawa wasn't doing that before, but he's doing that tonight.
19:01Nasakawa also, you know, using that physical strength, able to bump Santijan off and create space,
19:10but not doing it with his arms.
19:12He's using the leg strength so he can do it somewhat legally or in a fashion that the referee won't penalize you for.
19:18As now he goes for a little stroll, pops the jab out there after spending the majority of the round.
19:26Really piecing Santijan up on the inside as he lands another left hand right before the bell.
19:35All right.
20:09And what Santillán's coroner was telling him right there, he said, don't let him take the initiative.
20:16You've got to throw.
20:17You've got to take the lead.
20:19But as we've discussed, taking the lead in this fight comes with its own set of risks.
20:38Round six begins.
20:40Well, you saw in that replay, there's only a handful of fighters who can land a triple left hand on the inside.
20:46You have to be fast, fast to get that one off.
20:50And there was a sequence toward the end of the fifth round that sort of encapsulated what the problem is here for Santillán,
20:57where he was throwing overhand lefts, but not particularly fast in this context.
21:01But again, he depends on timing and accuracy.
21:04And as he's throwing that big overhand left, Nasakawa's just shooting that straight left hand.
21:10He's landing.
21:11Santillán is landing, but not as often and not with as much authority.
21:14A quick uppercut on the inside there for Nasakawa.
21:19Another one with the left hand.
21:21And there, Nasakawa will be warned for a shot.
21:34He was getting away with it for a couple rounds.
21:36There is some bandwidth.
21:37And that one was a little bit more blatant.
21:39And again, yeah, if you can, you see boxers do this all the time, just doing it with their shoulder.
21:43But once you extend the arm, that's when the referee is going to come warn you.
21:48Nice step-back counter from Nasakawa there a moment ago.
21:51Oh, big uppercut there, popping the head back of Santillán.
22:01Going back to that pre-fight interview with former champion Daiki Kameda,
22:05another thing he said is that based on the style matchup,
22:08that this might be the most boring tension Nasakawa fight.
22:11That has not been the case at all.
22:14Nasakawa has been determined to make this an entertaining fight.
22:19And again, Santillán playing his part as well.
22:21What you're seeing is a lot less of the showmanship and a lot more function.
22:28And again, what you're seeing is a guy who has learned to fight on the inside within the last few months,
22:35but is applying those lessons really effectively right now.
22:41And even just now, you've seen him adjust within the context of a fight.
22:46When he wanted a little space just now, he didn't push.
22:49He just stepped back and threw a jab and created that space for himself.
22:54Another quick left hand on the inside.
22:58And Santillán has not had answers for that in terms of replying for it or finding a way to prevent it.
23:04Another one right there.
23:05In order to improve his inside game, he employed the efforts of Christian Medina.
23:14Oh, a big shot there.
23:16And another one.
23:17That one sending Victor Santillán's head in another direction.
23:24Medina, of course, just picked up a win in Guadalajara on a matchroom card in DAZN,
23:30on a world-ranked top contender.
23:33And that work is paying off here tonight.
23:37Fun fight here between Nasakawa and Santillán.
23:39We'll see you next time.
23:43We'll see you next time.
23:44It was that
24:14leaping uppercut
24:16That's a video game
24:19That is a video game uppercut
24:21We saw Nasakawa doing the
24:28street fire Ryu
24:30Hadouken earlier
24:33on and now an uppercut
24:35that Ryu would be proud of as well
24:36landing in an actual live fight
24:38We talked about Aura
24:41and being cool
24:42Attention Nasakawa
24:44oozing it here tonight
24:46Yes and a really refined sense of when
24:48to do that and when to just get down to business
24:50Yes
24:51Which has been the vast majority of this fight
24:55which has over the last couple of
24:56rounds been spent on the inside
24:58Looks like Victor Santayon maybe having
25:00second thoughts about whether
25:02that's the kind of fight he wants
25:04He starts to back up a little bit
25:06but Nasakawa trying to take that away
25:08as he bullies his way to the inside
25:10This is Santayon
25:12landing a big left
25:13a big right hook
25:14But again
25:17he also was not blessed with one punch power
25:19and if he's going to have to
25:20if he's going to make something happen
25:21for himself
25:22it's going to be because of an accumulation
25:24but every time he tries to unload
25:27Nasakawa's there making him pay
25:30His punches are just so much more direct
25:34and so much faster
25:34unless it's the video game uppercut
25:38And if you'd watched Nasakawa's fights before
25:48what you would have noticed was
25:49next to no head movement
25:51which again
25:52might be
25:53one of the last vestiges of his
25:56kickboxing background
25:58because in kickboxing
25:58it doesn't really profit you to move your head that much
26:01because you might lean into a kick
26:03but you're seeing much improved head movement
26:05in this fight
26:06Yeah, in combination
26:08in concert with
26:09one of the things that you would carry over
26:12from a kickboxing background
26:13which is the ability to catch and shoot
26:15Yes
26:15To catch a punch
26:17then come back with a combination like that
26:19and that's what makes
26:20exciting fighters exciting
26:22Yes
26:23Someone like Victor Santayon in this fight
26:24Is he landing some punches?
26:26Is he having some success?
26:27Yes
26:28But a lot of that success
26:30is just what is permissible
26:31Yes
26:32From Nasakawa
26:33He's allowing
26:34or inviting some of these shots
26:36because he knows
26:37that he can get off
26:38with a three punch counter in reply
26:39Absolutely
26:40And he can go from offense
26:41to defense
26:42instantaneously
26:43or simultaneously
26:45just depending
26:46Good body shot there
26:48from Nasakawa
26:49You can hear that one
26:50Yeah, and here in round seven
26:55Santayon is already looking
26:57His body language is that of a man
26:59who is just about out of answers
27:01You can hear it in his corner between rounds
27:04Last round his corner was saying
27:06take the initiative
27:07you gotta throw
27:07you gotta throw
27:08This round there was next to no technical advice
27:11The corner was just saying
27:12let's go
27:13And when your corner switches
27:16from technical and tactical advice
27:18to just encouragement
27:19that's a bad sign
27:21Good left hand there
27:25from Santayon a moment ago
27:26That right hook caught
27:27by Nasakawa
27:28comes back with a quick combination
27:30Yeah, two quick
27:31lightning fast
27:33inside left hooks
27:34Riosuke Nishiri
28:03Riosuke Nishiri
28:03Just the fourth ever unification bout between two Japanese fighters.
28:10A massive fight, a historic fight, as all the Bantamweight champions from Japan are in attendance here tonight.
28:18They're either in the ring or they're seated ringside.
28:23A star-studded event here at the Ariake Coliseum.
28:26You see that little teardrop of blood flowing on the outside of the eye of Tenshin Nasakawa.
28:38Outside of the eye, obviously, what is important about that, it really does not seem to hamper his vision whatsoever.
28:45In ways that I was sort of afraid that it might when the cut first opened up.
28:50If anything, it might be Santeon, who has some swelling developing over his eye.
28:57His right eye.
28:58Yeah, a function of those, a consequence of those lightning-fast straight left hands.
29:04If anyone is battling vision impairment, it may be Santeon, although swelling does not seem to be extreme at this point.
29:13As Nasakawa stabs another jab to the body and misses over the top of that left hand.
29:26Asakawa's stepping in with a left hand of the body.
29:47He's tried that shot up top, now brings it downstairs.
29:49Harris finds the target as Santeon doing a little bit more moving in this round, which will likely not help his case.
30:00It might get him hit less, but I don't know that this is a route to winning rounds.
30:04Oh no, and I think that might have started out as some strategic moving, him hoping he could walk Nasakawa into a shot.
30:14But it turned into moving by necessity.
30:16Because Nasakawa hit him clean a couple times, and he had to, again, do what he likes to do, which is move around, regroup, reset.
30:29But those left hands from Santeon are coming slower and slower and slower.
30:33Big left hand there from Nasakawa, whose left hands are just as fast, just as hard as they were in the opening round.
30:44Yeah, and Santeon is in a really bad spot here, because now he's in a guy, he's in with a guy who we knew coming in his speed was superior,
30:51but now Nasakawa's timing appears to be superior, too.
30:55And timing was the advantage that Santeon thought he had coming in.
30:59And there you see Nasakawa walking into a check right hook right there.
31:03Nasakawa seems to have the idea this round, that he's going to land a colossal counter left hand.
31:16And he's not wrong, he has landed it.
31:18It hasn't stopped Santeon, obviously.
31:22And to Santeon's credit, speaking of his punch resistance, we have not seen him visibly hurt in this fight,
31:28and he has taken a lot of flush shots here from Nasakawa.
31:33As we'll head into the final two rounds.
32:35Two to go here in this Bantamweight attraction between Tenshin Nasakawa and Victor Santayana.
32:43A man that Nasakawa has been targeting, well, really since his kickboxing days.
32:50They were in rival organizations, but Yoshiki Takai sitting at ringside.
32:55And Takai, the current WBO Bantamweight champion.
33:00And Nasakawa says that the people will not forgive me if I don't ultimately fight him.
33:05That is definitely the target that he has.
33:09And he's put this fight into perspective, Morgan.
33:11He likened it.
33:12We've talked about that uppercut being like a video game uppercut as he lands some terrific left hands.
33:18Likened this to kind of the final level of an RPG.
33:21He said this is like beating the last gym master before you can take on the heavenly masters of the world champions.
33:28Well, again, Nasakawa appears to have mastered a lot of the fine points of boxing.
33:39As his level of opposition steps up, again, you see a lot less of the showboating, a lot less of the performative punching,
33:52a lot less of what you might think was this exotic stuff that he carried over from kickboxing.
34:00A lot more standard boxing, but it's relentlessly effective.
34:03Look at that left hand.
34:04Big left hand again.
34:05And Santeon walks through it, but can he continue to take these for the final two rounds?
34:15Nasakawa really loading up now.
34:26This was supposed to be the trickiest opponent for Nasakawa to hit.
34:30He has had no trouble with that whatsoever.
34:33Another left hand reigns in, and these left hands are starting to lift the feet of Santeon up.
34:39Look at these ones.
34:41Quick combination again, and a heavy left hand from Nasakawa.
34:46The punishment really starting to mount.
34:50And Santeon's problem is that every time he throws that right hand, there's a left hand coming.
34:55I mean, that's just four in a row, left hand after left hand, to torture this video game analogy.
35:05This is spamming the left hand, this is just hitting X over and over, and it's not missing.
35:13There you saw Santeon sort of shuffle his way inside, but he wanted to get inside without having to throw the jab,
35:28because the next time he threw the jab, that right there is what happened.
35:30And the crowd is gasping after some of these left hands that Santeon is absorbing.
35:38One final round left to go.
35:40One final round left to go.
36:10One final round left to go.
36:40Santeon Nasakawa and Victor Santeon, who absorbed an ungodly number of full extension, full power left hands in that ninth round, Morgan.
36:52And opened up the tenth, taking two more of those left hands.
36:56Another one.
37:00Another left hand from Nasakawa, who is hunting for the knockout here in the final round.
37:05Another chopping left hand on the inside there from Nasakawa.
37:18And what I can't figure out is whether Nasakawa, this is something he learned in film study or whether he picked it up on the fly.
37:26But every single time Santeon tries to throw that lead right hook, he gets beat to the punch.
37:34It's almost like countering the punch before it's even on the way.
37:38There it is again.
37:38Yes.
37:40But he also can't stop himself from throwing that punch.
37:44And every time he throws it, he gets clipped with that straight left.
37:47Hard body shot there from Nasakawa, who is just unloading right now.
37:53By the way, credit to Rudy Hernandez, who's working cuts in Nasakawa's corner right before the main event with his prized pupil, Juto Nakatani, in it.
38:09Maybe that's who he's talking to on the Bluetooth coil while he's there.
38:12Yeah.
38:12I mean, the way that Nasakawa has been able to counter with that left hand, you'd think that he has a Bluetooth in that's telling him what's coming as he unloads another one that pops the head back of Santeon,
38:29who, all credit to him, is still here bringing it here in the 10th round.
38:34This is also the kind of fight you get when you have two guys that are determined, two guys that, for the most part, are coming forward, but neither one has one-punch power.
38:48You get 10 rounds of action.
38:53Santeon starting to look a little bit more weary.
38:56As if Nasakawa had Riku Masuda, one-punch power, I think this fight would have ended a long time ago.
39:08Santeon will be sternly admonished there for a late shot.
39:16Frustration starting to show itself here from Santeon.
39:19Now, Nasakawa may be looking to make him pay as we head towards the final 10 seconds of this contest.
39:33Hard right hook to the body.
39:40And tension says, let's go.
39:45Santeon on wobbly legs in the closing moments.
39:49Well, I don't want to knock Daiki Kameda's prognostication skills, but that was not a boring fight.
40:00No, not at all.
40:01In, Victor Santeon, he said heading into the fight,
40:06Nasakawa has never faced a boxer like me.
40:09And he wasn't wrong.
40:10It was just that Nasakawa had the answers for a boxer like him.
40:19And again, Santeon's timing and the confidence he had in his timing just couldn't overcome the timing plus the speed,
40:27plus the rapidly evolving skill set that Nasakawa is showing here.
40:32Yeah, to your point that you made earlier, you know, we likened these fights for Nasakawa as equations that he's solving.
40:39Yes.
40:39This, again, might have been an equation he had never seen before.
40:42That didn't mean that he couldn't find the answer pretty quickly.
40:56As tension and Santeon will await the decision in the center of the ring,
41:01the scores are in the hands of the great Jimmy Lennon Jr.
41:04Ladies and gentlemen, after 10 rounds of action, the judges are in agreement.
41:10We have a unanimous decision.
41:12Here are the score totals.
41:14Judges at ringside, Tatsuya Iida and Toshio Sugiyama, both scored about 99 to 91.
41:23Kazutoshi Yoshida scores about 100 to 90.
41:27All three in favor of the winner, and still undefeated, Tenshin Nasakawa.
41:44So Tenshin Nasakawa victorious once again in one of the more entertaining 190 fights that you're going to see.
41:53That's what I was going to say.
41:54Those scorecards are...
