00:00:00hello welcome back welcome back to the video now this part even though I'm doing the asylum
00:00:08manhole sewer which is this part up here is the asylum cell the asylum morgue and so forth so
00:00:18I'm going to put some rooms up here some cells and things like that so I've already got cells
00:00:23made if you look at my videos and my downloads you'll see different cells they're for all
00:00:28different parts of the level in certain places some are for the police station some are for the
00:00:36hospitals and so forth so I've got a morgue already the morgue that I've got is for the hospital
00:00:42that's what that's for it's part of this so just to let you know that so even though I am covering
00:00:50the part for the sewer which is this part it's also to do with because it's a sewer and the morgue
00:00:58and yeah it's all going to be like kind of the same I want to say the same kind of video name
00:01:05because it's all to do with the same part of the actual morgue so yeah so everything to do with this
00:01:11part I will probably most likely just keep the same name but I'll tell you what each part is
00:01:18so at the moment we're going to leave this part exactly like that temporarily so we're going to
00:01:23build a bit more of this and then we can build a bit more of this and then we can build a bit more of
00:01:28that and then so forth so my maximum width of my of my piece of land because it's an mv cube so it
00:01:37can't exceed the square it can't do that oh if you look over here you'll notice that when I'm looking
00:01:44at it I'm thinking I've come outside of the other square you see you see the line here did all of this
00:01:51this it can't be there I think in here but it can because if you look here look because when I was
00:02:00looking at it I think you know yeah I've actually gone outside of the other square but I can do that
00:02:06because it's for this yellow square here it's part of this room here so as you can see this part here look
00:02:13you see it fits inside the square you see this part here it don't actually go out the yellow square
00:02:21not yet you don't but it will do so if you're looking like this I'll show you

00:02:36that's part of the next level even though it looks like it's all the same thing but it's not so what
00:02:42I might have to do with the morgue and the train station not train station the sewer and the asylum
00:02:49I might make the whole entire lot as one complete unit because I'm thinking there's going to be quite
00:02:57a few pieces to this because I'm thinking if this is if this is just the sewer part only one part of it
00:03:03the hospital is quite big it's massive so I think in here yeah it's going to be a couple of stories
00:03:10high it's going to go it's going to go up probably a couple of stories because what I need
00:03:16I need I need to basically if from the ground level down here I need the shaft which goes down to the actual sewer
00:03:27and to the basement and so forth I think in here okay so I need about three levels going down
00:03:32and then I need the asylum part so I want to set my asylum in certain categories so I'll have like
00:03:43adults here male maybe then here in this section we have the female section up here we have the teen section
00:03:54and right at the very top we have the kids section so it's all kind of embedded itself all inside one
00:04:04massive building and of course there's going to be all different entrances into certain parts of the
00:04:10hospital just to keep the patients kind of isolated separate and away from each other and kind of things
00:04:18like that so yeah anyway so yeah anyway everyone interacts everyone does interact but they're all
00:04:24kind of separate also as well so anyway you have to watch the content to find out what how I'm talking
00:04:29about it and then you're going to be able to see who goes where I think in here great as I said you start
00:04:36your whole entire adventure with a young girl called Emma which is Emma's here at this moment in time
00:04:42down here she's age 12 she wouldn't be age 12 she's actually age one so what we can do we can go here
00:04:50we can just go to import all my files of Kalana when I share them I share as glif holders go here
00:04:56go to Emma's world go to Emma so as I say if you watch my content you you know who Emma is so this is
00:05:03when she's 12 up here is when she's one years old and you'll be you'll be doing your adventure
00:05:12eventually at some point when you're one years old so it will go here I try to click on the character
00:05:19really sure to click this and go directly to her go here set the geometry and then I can just move my
00:05:28character over here I said now of course this is where you start off as you can see she's absolutely
00:05:34tiny I think yeah this world compared to her if you guys look how big she is obviously you know it's
00:05:43going to be a big world to her and she's going to have maybe a couple of problems getting down the
00:05:47staircase but uh obviously I kind of made a staircase for when she's about 12 which is about this age
00:05:54which is kind of great but which is this age don't forget there's some places she can go some places
00:05:59she can't go and yeah like the big air like the airbag figure there's no grate on it so yeah even
00:06:06if there was a grate on it she won't be able to pick it up it's too heavy for her so I think yeah
00:06:11can't agree so if I take a look at Emma and I bring little Emma downstairs and stick her with big Emma
00:06:20so I'm thinking okay Emma Emma has to go and meet Emma so let's put her on this side
00:06:24and we're all about to see her as you can see you can see the size of the characters so when you're
00:06:30actually in the game world and you can see she's absolutely tiny and it's the exact same character
00:06:35no different except yeah she's just older whatever as I said in in the software that made the characters
00:06:41called make human I like it because you can take a single character like that and you can actually
00:06:47not physically age her but you can age her through the game and I mean through the software and you
00:06:54can have a and you can have a like certain ages I've got all the ages of the character all so they're
00:06:59all they're all ready more or less ready to go but at the moment I'm only using these two at the moment
00:07:06so I'm kind of showing you so if you go from age one to age 90 and I've got the whole age range just
00:07:13let you know that so when the game's up and running it's going to look pretty great so I'd say if you
00:07:17pick a character and you're kind of running around the level of course you'll stick in the corner Emma
00:07:23yeah look how small she is she's absolutely yeah she she she would never be able to get up that wall
00:07:30never it doesn't matter what she does she won't be able to get up there I think yeah kind of great but
00:07:35um yeah and anyway we wouldn't want to stick her in the water because yeah not that's the fact that she can't
00:07:41swim she can't swim but uh um yeah because there's all fishes and alligators and sharks in there
00:07:49yeah we don't want our character in there we just don't the bookshelf is kind of great because obviously
00:07:54our character doesn't climb on it anyway we're not here to talk about Emma or Emma regardless for which
00:08:00Emma I'm talking about so as a this is your main character this is your main key character right there
00:08:07of course as you go through and you get progress eventually at some point you go to sleep wake up
00:08:13and then of course you're a little bit older so you're age one you go to two three four five and so
00:08:17on and eventually when you get through the level you end up at age 12 which it's going to take you
00:08:22a long time to get there so I'm trying to make a game that's really really interesting and I'm trying
00:08:28to make a character that's different to every other character because when you play certain games
00:08:33obviously what happens is yeah yeah when the game changes on version two your character completely
00:08:40changes I think come on it's all there I think I don't want a different character I want to keep the
00:08:44same character I think in here great and then you know the first character you get wow certain abilities
00:08:50and then you can move to the next level the next you let's get the next game to it and then he loses or
00:08:56she loses certain abilities I think you know I don't want that okay anyway anyway I'm trying to make a different
00:09:02a different type of unique game that's what you want to do anyway I'm going to show you the content
00:09:07as I'm going through it so these are Emma so I will be bringing Emma into the game world so you can see
00:09:12the size of the character compared to the level and not only that sometimes I have to bring them in anyway
00:09:16because I'm going to I need to make sure that the characters can fit through the through the door
00:09:22frames down the holes or in the in the shafts with things like that through the air vents things like
00:09:27that of course that's what I need to do so as I said down in this train station we're going to have
00:09:33some air vents down here probably somewhere just in case look what Emma wants to go crawling through
00:09:38the air vent for some random reason so I think okay whatever so anyway we was building this part
00:09:45we're not building that at the moment so what we're doing now as I said I've got to watch what
00:09:49we're doing with this so as I because now I'm working on this side look now when you're kind of
00:09:57working for this view you know you don't kind of realize that you kind of come out of the comfort zone
00:10:04like this look so I need to select all this kind of tilt it now see now you see all this I need to
00:10:12split this I need to split it off this building because it is the second half of the building
00:10:18so I'm actually building it all as one unit if I'm going to do that I need to extend the floor and
00:10:25it's perfectly fine I can do that so as I said I want to watch what I'm building and how I'm building it
00:10:31so of course we want to build the cell so of course the blender cube I'm going to show you this
00:10:38make you kick off that go here you'll bring me in the blender cube which is that big so we've got
00:10:44to make sure that's going to be about a standard size for the morgue for the cell for the room where
00:10:52the character stays because obviously at the end of the day when you look your character you've got to
00:10:58make sure the character can fit in the room so for that reason I'm going to make it two blenders
00:11:03squares long that way when I put the bed in there and I put the cupboard in there the character could
00:11:08fit in the room perfectly well for now I can get rid of this so as I said I can turn around
00:11:14see it's two squares so I'll get rid of this so I think okay let's have a look what's going on
00:11:20because I need to add this in here because we don't add it in here I won't be able to add the
00:11:24toilets and so forth so click here as I said normally you can build it from the down
00:11:30up sometimes I do sometimes I build it from the ground up sometimes I build it from the top down
00:11:37in this case I'm building from the side out and then I'll build it down and up at the same time
00:11:43and then I'll recollect it all so it all joins before I start building this part of the level
00:11:49I'm just going to show you this um let me just click on
00:11:53um let me click on here because as I did this part's kind of thrown me off the actual level

00:12:06um I'll take it when I go here now if you watch the very first part of this video
00:12:10and you can see there's a staircase in there so I'll show you the staircase is here I might
00:12:14just say I'll make each part separate if you want it so we'll bring the staircase up there
00:12:19so as I said it's up there because that's where it belongs bring it down here okay as I said all
00:12:27my pieces kind of snap together so I need a way for the maintenance crew to get down to the bottom
00:12:34so we're going to snap this down
00:12:37as you can see it looks like that of course we can widen the staircase if you want to ideally we would
00:12:44widen that but um for now I'm going to leave it like that so I'm going to turn it around I think
00:12:50we don't want a massive staircase but we don't want it too small over and this one that'll be too short
00:12:56so I need to extend this one just in case so if I go here and go into wireframe as I need to be able
00:13:03to see what I'm doing with it so I need to snap this to the to the brickwork and then I need to make sure
00:13:11that I actually touch so if I need to turn it on look at that make sure it's kind of right on the
00:13:19lip which is not but it sticks over the floor for a little bit as I said we don't want to do it all
00:13:24that because our character is going to trip over it
00:13:30so if you give him ideally we need to do that down a little bit
00:13:35we can always scale it so it just fits you see like here looks he's always perfect perfect here
00:13:43but it's not perfect up there now all these stairs are actually the same they're no different
00:13:48so what I can do if I want to do it this way as I'll snap it to the edge so that's exactly where it's
00:13:58supposed to go so what I've done here I didn't allow I didn't allow this part for the staircase
00:14:09so what I can I can even do in two ways I can edit the staircase or I can edit the floor
00:14:21so I'm just kind of looking at it thinking here it's going to be easier to edit the floor
00:14:26because what it is if you look at if you look at the floor itself the floor is exactly on the line
00:14:31but the staircase is not so the best way to do this honestly would be to click this
00:14:37I need to modify the staircase in in a different way go to points select this and move the staircase
00:14:44to there as they turn you a tiny little bit between another one square but the one square makes
00:14:50all the difference but um so that way when our character comes out you're not going to break
00:14:56her neck go down the staircase because we don't want the character falling down the staircase
00:15:01even though it's not even though it's not one of our characters our character might go up here
00:15:07so and only that we need to staircase there because obviously it's going to be part
00:15:12of the toilet really so the toilet underneath here just so you know that so when you go through the door
00:15:18you'll see the back of the staircase so as I said I can't not make the staircase because I need to
00:15:22make sure it's actually made correctly okay now of course when the staircase comes down to here
00:15:29we need to kind of change the staircase because we've only got a certain amount of staircase
00:15:39before it gets to the base the base finishes here so what I can do here I need to look at the
00:15:45staircase not that one I need to stay case so what I need to do is take the staircase which is here
00:15:52I'll make a new file and I'm going to put this in there I want to copy the staircase and I'm going to
00:15:58paste it I'm going to put that in there now what I need to do is bring this down bring it over
00:16:06as I said I've totally completely past the staircase the floor so all of this floor here can't be there
00:16:17so I need to bring this back up snap it to that and I can snap it probably to the edge of that right there
00:16:26so what I'm going to do with the staircase I'm going to kind of change it slightly
00:16:30I said it looks like a straight piece of anyway I'll just go here so I'm going to kind of customize
00:16:37the door here so I'm going to turn it around
00:16:44and then I'm going to here I'm going to drag it back over this side
00:16:48I'm going to drag it back so it looks like that
00:16:52so the maintenance crew has to come down the stairs onto the platform down these stairs
00:17:02and then of course they would reach the platform to here so I think here will be turning around
00:17:09as I said we totally passed the actual platform so I need to go into wireframe I need to see what I'm
00:17:17doing so I need to make sure the actual last step see here I've got to make sure it touches this platform
00:17:26so it's kind of okay a little bit short and a little bit I think
00:17:34as I said we can't go through the floor because it's going to be a just going to be a floor there
00:17:39so um I'm just trying to see actually if there's another way I can do it to save me cutting that up
00:17:47I'm thinking if I don't cut the staircase maybe
00:17:52as I said I'm building it as I'm going so you can kind of see what I'm doing

00:25:08you want to take it, you want to kind of keep it looking like it's part of the staircase.
00:25:13So, what I can do here, I can just kind of extrude this to there,
00:25:20then I can extrude it to there, and I can just extrude it to there.
00:25:24That way, when you look at it, it looks like it's all part of the same thing, like this look.
00:25:30So, we look from this side, and say, oh yeah, it's supposed to look like that.
00:25:34It's not supposed to look like that, but I'm thinking, after I have to join it,

00:29:35so we're going to zoom into here we're going to bring this all the way in to there
00:29:45so what's that that's that's my brickwork that's my brand new wall
00:29:51well that's cheating well it is kind of cheating but that's how i want to do it so i'm going to go
00:29:57here i'm going to extrude i want to extrude this up here to this wall here and then i'm going to join
00:30:04it so i want to extrude my wall so here i turn this off i can bring it back so it touches the line
00:30:18like that and of course it's not even straight i think you really just go here bring it back straight
00:30:26like that now if i'm inside the roof it now it's not even level
00:30:40so we want to snap this so it's dead straight
00:30:45like that as i said it's kind of my way of putting a wall on the inside except it's on the outside so
00:30:53anyway go here select all the wall as i said i'm trying to use the maximum amount of space possible
00:31:00and you wouldn't you won't really be able to tell how thick the wall is because yeah you're on this
00:31:05side of the wall you can't see and you you'll automatically assume you will assume that the actual
00:31:13wall is as thick as the normal wall because when you enter the door frame you're gonna be able to see
00:31:20how thick the wall is it's going to look normal but really it's not going to look it's not going
00:31:26to be normal of course you're not going to see down the side of the wall down here so i don't need to
00:31:32fill it in not ideally you know well yeah if i want to like the top of here i don't need to fill the
00:31:39top of this because you're not actually going to physically see it but you will because when you go up
00:31:43the stairs you're going to see right through it something in here yeah so i have to fill it so
00:31:50you have to hold your para key left off the keyboard click on the little click on click the little dots
00:31:57first we'll go over here turn it off click this dot this one this one and this one obviously it's not
00:32:04clicking the dot click the dots press f to fill it click the dots press f to fill it so just go across
00:32:15the wall as i can all use this little spot later on for something for something extra like for trophies
00:32:22and things like that like for the maintenance crew we can now we can add some items on here
00:32:28for the for the achievements of what they've achieved through the daytime and you never know
00:32:36you might have a huge bonuses here for your character so as i say go along here fill in the gaps
00:32:44obviously without kind of messing you up like i tell you sometimes i do mess it up so you have to

00:36:36so as you can see it's just very simple now what i can do here if we take the handle
00:36:45you see you see the geometry on it it says the level we can leave it on number two we
00:36:48drop it to one we can drop that to one and we can leave it on that go here apply the settings
00:36:56so add all the stage on that there we can hide the door and we'll open it
00:37:04hold all of that just so we don't actually get it in our way so we'll do that save it go back to this
00:37:12door frame make sure you do the same thing click on handle okay change it to one change it to one go
00:37:19here apply transforms as i don't need to hide it because it's going to be part of a main door frame
00:37:26so we can close we can remove the handle and we can remove the door
00:37:32because it's not going nowhere it's staying where it is so i'm thinking okay so let me just put the
00:37:35handle on it so the door opens outwards so if you look at the door it's there oh don't it opens inwards
00:37:44yep the door opens inwards that's great perfect now of course you can change the door from left
00:37:52hand to right hand it's up to you how you want to do it now you can either turn the door around
00:37:57if you want to or you can just flick the handle from left to right i'm going to leave it on that
00:38:02because it's going to be standard so anyway it doesn't really matter so it doesn't matter if you're
00:38:06left-handed or right-handed you can just open the door so yeah okay i'm going to leave the door like

00:38:19this door frame from here go to parent clear the parent this is the door frame i want to clear the
00:38:29parent from that so go here parent clear the parent you see this thing get rid of that that's a null
00:38:39if you want to add the null in there go here this is the null the empty that's what it is it's actually
00:38:44one of these um i don't want it so go here i want to attach that to this so this one and the manhole
00:38:54goes here press hold control right on the keyboard press that press that go here you can go parent them
00:39:01and we could parent it but uh i don't want to i want to join it because i want the door frame part of
00:39:11the brickwork just in case i want to be able to do that now the reason why i want to do that is because
00:39:17when i click on the door frame when i click the building go here when i edit the building i can edit the
00:39:24wall at the same time as you can see now of course i want to i'll just show you this here because
00:39:32obviously oh i will just join it and i'll show you what i mean okay now i don't want to alter the door
00:39:39frame but i have to move it slightly because it's not going to basically fit my character so i'll show you
00:39:47you kind of turn it around like that you look at the door frame you see how it kind of sticks out the

00:42:55we need a part of the hallway so we want to take this corner and this corner we take this one and
00:43:03this one we don't need the solid door frame we can get rid of it so press f on the keyboard to fill it
00:43:12press this emma's right in the way
00:43:15fill that then obviously you just want to join that that and that you want to join that that that
00:43:28and that then just fill the face in now as you can see it's perfectly flat against the wall look
00:43:37but we don't want our door frame perfectly flat against the wall frame because it's going to look
00:43:41absolutely silly so we're going to get that that we can leave it flat if we want to but you know
00:43:48it's going to look a little bit more better if we extrude it anyway so if we go here and go extrude
00:43:55and just put that back in going to snap and just snap it one square well that's two squares
00:44:04so go back and look really just kind of don't put a massive big frame on it
00:44:09we don't want to stick out a little bit yeah maybe a little bit more than that probably
00:44:18okay let me just kind of flick it back around again

01:10:58that way you can actually hold on those decades um yeah you can do that anyway anyway dad that's

01:11:11more a little bit more until he kind of totally fills the space as i said this is the maintenance

01:11:31as it is it's up to us honestly we can do that however however we want then again one of your stock
