00:26in the game menu and you get that cylinder looking thing a bit like this is it's not really like that

00:33it's a capsule you you get a capsule basically that looks a bit like that but then i think okay

00:38if i know it's not a capsule but the capsule's got like a round part on top and a round part

00:44i can make a capsule if i want to i don't want to i've already made a capsule

00:48i've turned into something different i've turned it into an energy tablet for emma in the game world

00:56just in case yeah she can't find no food just in case now isn't it when you very first start off

01:03in my game world when the games are from running um you might think you're going to start off as a

01:10character running around level and you're not going to do that you're going to start off inside an egg

01:16if you look inside here you'll see a little emma you say is that really the origin of a human

01:24um in red band alley yes um okay so thinking okay so how how did you end up in the egg and i'm not

01:36going to spoil the story and i'm going to keep it later what i'm doing here i've got bigger man right

01:44there this is big emma right in the background i'm just scaling it to her just at the moment so i

01:50want to see what it looks like when emma's carrying emma obviously emma wouldn't be carrying emma well

01:56i think i can i can scale it to the size of about 12 year old and then when i'm when i'm on anyway yeah

02:03you'll get the idea as i'm going through it as i said because i'm going to watch the content i'm sharing

02:08i'm going to watch anyway click click the egg if you want the egg i've got a whole set of eggs

02:15they have the six in a set normal eggs so if you want to download them you can download them i didn't

02:20put the yolk in them yet i haven't put that in there yet but i will put it inside the eggs later on so

02:26when you kind of break the egg in half and kind of turn the egg over the actual egg will actually go

02:32like you run out of the egg just in case you want that that's not for later on so yeah you're not

02:38going to get that yet for now i'm going to click on this egg if you want this egg i want to share this

02:43egg here this is a emma egg emma age one egg look here ready what i've done this is all i've done i went

02:54to points of course i made a you know a capsule that's what i made and then what i've done you see the

03:01points as i know i'm trying to do the videos not so much from the very first beginning because

03:07um some of the video take really long and i'm trying to make the templates beforehand

03:12so i can just basically show you the template you press k on the keyboard you get a knife like this

03:17and you can go from here to here and you can press enter and put a line in there that's how you draw

03:24on the surface just in case you don't know that go here undo that here undo that now i'm only

03:31going to go around the bottle after the egg that's all i want to do so what i want to do here

03:36in this video because i haven't showed you how to make the egg it's easy to make egg honestly it really

03:42is well you know this make it you can just download this one now it's george is really low on it as you

03:47can see it's really really low it started off life originally if you look at it from the top view

03:54this here is the pupil this is this is the colouring and this is the outer edge it's actually an eyeball

04:05that's what you're looking at so i put the eyeball on top i put the eyeball on the bottom and i just joined

04:10it and then basically i'll scale it out so it looks kind of like an egg yeah so it's an eyeball actually

04:17that's what it is just just to let you know that so yeah anyway you yeah anyway i'll explain to you

04:24after okay first of all look at the egg take all the top of it if you go into wireframe i'll show you

04:30this if you go into wireframe and you you can ignore emma just go here make sure it's on the side of you

04:37go from here and take the whole one you see you should take the whole link go back into standard

04:44take this one this one this one this one this is gonna give me like a little jagged edge around the

04:51egg yeah i know it's all perfectly flat and perfectly even before you say anything well yeah yeah you'll

05:00get the idea so anyway i don't mind if it's perfectly flat around the edges because i can always bend

05:09twist and shape it afterwards but for now because she's only just she's not born yet she's not in the

05:16game world yet so yeah you when you first get the red man lally you're going to roll around level

05:21as the egg that's what you're going to do so if you if you end up dropping in the river

05:27and be careful of the fish because if the fish gets you that's it game over and you have to restart

05:35and yeah so you can go across the ocean in the lake if you want to but there's some really big fish

05:42in the in the ocean like megadon sharks and i've seen a really nice looking dinosaur thing on microsoft

05:50and 3d models and if i can use that it's going to be great okay right click split right click

05:57separate selection oh look at that doesn't that look great now if i click off it watch

06:08you see you see the jaggy lines in that's in the egg yeah i know you wouldn't have a perfect straight

06:13line like that you probably have it up here somewhere and going on a mad angle yeah we

06:18we can make a couple of different eggs so there's a couple of different patterns so it's not all the same

06:24egg so anyway so at the moment this is how it looks so so emma do you mind coming out of the egg

06:32say oh hello so this is emma so i've pressed that by accident i've got to wait for a few minutes because

06:40blender catches up so you know that look now when i record the screen with version 443

06:47it it kind of takes a bit more processing power i don't know why this version does that

06:54because version 4.4.1 doesn't do that and version 3.6.3 doesn't do that so go here

07:02so leave hold of that just go here and turn on textures take it emma you really shouldn't be inside the

07:09eggs without it could be a dinosaur egg now it's going to look kind of great but the only problem with

07:16that is if it's in the game mode you're going to be able to see through the egg watch

07:20this is transparency turn it on if she's inside the egg she can see out

07:31okay well obviously we don't want that because when we're inside the egg

07:36we don't really want to be able to see outside the egg

07:39so how do you fix that problem well this is what you do you can hide that tick this egg just hide that

07:49take the bottom off come over here press this go to add come down here and you're looking for

07:57something called solidify this one solidify solidify and you notice it's put inside of it

08:05and if you notice how thick the egg is the egg is pretty thick

08:10we don't want the egg that thick so we can just do wickedness you see you can go here

08:15you can fill the whole thing and not the edges but you want to fill the whole thing

08:19turn this on so it is evenly matched if you want to if you don't want to fill the whole thing you can

08:27just turn it on and say rib only this one here but uh so you see on that you get rib only but yeah

08:34i don't want that i want the whole thing so i've got inside the egg and outside the egg so when i apply

08:41things to emma she won't fall through the floor she just basically stand inside the egg so anyway

08:49that's what i'm going to tell you anyway leave that like that i think if you're happy with that

08:55if you are i'm not too happy with that it's not bad i said we can look over here and thickness

09:03uh let's put 0.1 and click here um it just makes it a bit more skinnier you know look at it you see

09:15look it does have an injury it's a very corner skinny edge on that so let's let's move this up to two

09:26and then click here okay two two is about right two is about perfect for an egg shell

09:32so don't forget later on we can shatter this so when she's inside it we can even break the top of

09:37it off or we're going to shatter the whole egg it's up to us however we want to do it it all depends

09:43anyway this egg is going to have yeah an animation on it so it kind of opens a bit like a door a bit

09:48like that anyway that's all anyway once you're happy with it go here apply transforms and that egg will stay

09:57like that okay press this one point this one just click on the egg go back to go back to here go back

10:08to generate look down the menu look up the menu find solidified okay now do the edges make sure

10:14it's even make sure you do this don't do that one click on this one the thickness add an extra zero

10:23and then change it to one

10:28two or two say okay now the top is exactly the same as the bottom

10:34so here apply now of course if we want to we can put them together now of course we know there's a

10:45crack in the egg because we can see the crack in the egg i think oh how do you open the egg now of

10:52course we can do this a completely way now of course they are both the same color it's how the

10:57the noise is showing on it that's what it is but first of all take the eggs i'll go here look to mesh

11:06go over here first select the whole entire egg go here normals smooth or normals so everything

11:12come back to normal so it looks normal hopefully and now what we're going to do here is we want to

11:20get the egg out so what i want to tell you what i want to tell you here i've done the normals on emma as

11:27well like that that that day you just have a sculpture for her animation she's got an animation on

11:38there look she's actually doing the pink coat that's what you do anyway she's not staying near the

11:43woman so that's it so if i go here and i can just get rid of emma i can leave her in there really it

11:52doesn't make makes no difference yeah then we've got a button after the egg that's the top of the egg

11:58so this is the top

12:02as i say maybe you've seen this before i don't know whatever maybe you've seen someone else before do

12:08this so that's the top of the egg and this is the base

12:13you say wow you don't do it like that well that's how we're doing anyway this is called base

12:23okay that's more about doing it so click the base click emma

12:30go back over here go to standard

12:34go into wireframe because then you can see emma's actually slightly through the floor

12:38we can move her up onto the first little platform right there

12:45and now we can just leave over there we can go here

12:48say apply more transforms emma will stay there now

12:54so just kind of in the middle of the egg

12:57go here apply transforms so that that's where emma is at the moment so let's go back from here make sure

13:04now you see how she's doing the pink coat which i think i like the animation the animations from mixama i'll show you

13:14it looks like look she's programming the egg so it's kind of great i like it i think it's good

13:20um anyway i think it's a great animation for mixama and i really do i like it

13:24so go back to the first game okay emma start programming the egg you've already been to the future

13:33see you there yeah okay now all we have to do is put emma inside the egg not in the top of it

13:42click emma herself click on emma go to the base

13:46go here parent the idea of this is to show you the tools go here parenting emma jumps inside the egg

13:57now we want to parent this to the egg click ctrl right on the keyboard click that don't forget the

14:04right side not left side so press ctrl click that click that click that you get parent object

14:11now what you want to do is click the top of the egg okay now go back into any mode pick pick a point on

14:20the egg that you want if you want the egg to open sideways then obviously click the point pick any of

14:26these points any point you want so i want to say pick the one that's in front the one that's on the red line

14:32you can any so it doesn't matter it's up to you what are you going to do once you pick it which is

14:38there look right click go snap the cursor to active the cursor will jump from the floor to there

14:47go snap cursor to active now that's there put the other dots down there how do you move that here

14:55come you come out of that you go here set don't set it to geometry set it to the cursor the animation

15:05part goes from here to here which is now the actual animation dot that's what that is so i'm going to

15:12call it an animation dot because that's what it's for okay turn around pick an angle that you want right

15:19click and go insert this one go here visual location and rotation so yep okay now i've done that that's

15:29our very first keyframe animation that's the deep that's the default for it i got the hiccups i follow

15:34those worry and go to dope sheet go into here go action enter this is our first animation look so we can

15:45put the animation on it and we can go here action and we can just push it down so it's gone now if you're

15:55using version 4.4.1 or 3.6.4 and the action button it's it it's not called action it's called uh push down

16:05it's right here it's already there you don't have to go in the menu okay that's saying look i've got

16:11the animation in here there it is there that's just the keys so as i said i'll explain all i'll explain

16:17them all at the moment press the new animation you see here looks here is an action now india said in

16:25version 3.6.4 and in 4.1 this action button is not there this one's there instead you'll see that and

16:34you'll see that to actually here that's where they are it doesn't matter where they are because obviously

16:38they're in the same place they're just decided to put them inside the menu which is kind of great okay

16:44now first of all right click insert the keyframe visual location rotation put the shield on it

16:53in about 60 seconds because i don't want to take too long to open so once you've got 60 seconds

17:00yeah rotate that's 60 seconds

17:10and we're gonna go all the way down and we can't go all the way down because obviously the egg is

17:16going to go inside the egg so just rotate it back up a little bit so it's not actually inside the egg

17:23it's still inside the egg about there right click insert visual location rotation okay now of course

17:35emma's doing the pin code when she ends the pin code the egg opens right like that or we can smash it

17:43like i said to you so see you later so this is emma and her egg so i hope you like it and now what i'm

17:53going to do i'm going to go back here there's only one animation in there so go back over here click the

17:59animation push it down go in here if you have two animations in here but the first animation choose that

18:07one go back in go to second animation which is this one okay back to here go in here now turn on

18:18linear bring it up we've got two animations in here open this so we can see what's going on okay so

18:27this is the addition generation is going to play i'm assuming i'll show you see look here turn them all off

18:33temporarily play nothing should happen turn that one see what happens nothing so now to read the boy

18:45we've got an extra navigation in there because that's emma's animation pink code okay now this is

18:51how you're opening so this is open there's no point putting the name on it you want to name these two left

18:57ticks and you can name it this one you have to right click and go rename it there's no point naming it

19:04it's only for your reference because when you export it it's going to be called action one action

19:09two action three and so forth so turn that off press this one okay so that don't do anything

19:18and we've got this one this is emma age one this is her action so we don't want none of that

19:24so all we want is just basically that maybe that because obviously that's the egg and this one is the

19:32opening so you've got to pick whichever one you want so let's turn it off this is the animation icon

19:40i want to go here

19:44make sure there's options click off it go here export export the animation as a glyph

19:50and go to downloads and go to downloads i want to call it

20:00egg e1 it's only e1 so it's called egg e1 that's that's emma age one okay actually i'll put it on

20:13it on there call it egg oh i forgot how to spell out her name emma

20:29age one export do me a go and have a look at our handiwork and see what new item we got for the

20:40inventory so don't forget this is this one is called it's called egg emma age one

20:49bring it to the screen so you can see so hello big emma what are you doing in the screen okay let

20:55me go let me go back to the screen i forgot big emma was in there so i want to take big emma

21:01because i want big error in there because i want to be able to carry the edgy

21:08it could be big emma but that actually opens it and i forgot which way this opens

21:16oh yeah opens that way so it's okay i can leave them i can leave them there back to here export again

21:22so go to emma age one obviously when you don't know the em big emma wouldn't be inside it maybe

21:32little emma would be inside it maybe just gonna be the egg so you can i'll give you the two eggs i'll

21:36give you the big version where it's complete i'll give you the second one where it opens and if you

21:43want the third one where it's really really small like a proper egg then i'll give you that so go here

21:49as i said i've got i've got to make them anyway so if you want to i said if you look on the website

21:56you will see a big massive em not massive you'll get like six eggs in a box tonight in a box during

22:03a bowl you get the bowl with the thing so anyway this is that mission so emma comes along and goes

22:09really i was born in there no emma he wasn't born in there that actually was something called emma

22:15messing around inside the eggshell so anyway go here turning on idle so the 31st animation is that

22:23animation so when she's hiding inside there you go oh so she's hiding inside there now if i do the

22:30third animation you can't see what you're doing look it's playing look but you can't see it because she's

22:37actually entering the big code that's what you're doing you can't see that from outside here so we don't need

22:43to play the region but i'm saying if you play it that's it if you put that in transparency mode

22:49you can't do it in here but if you put transparency on it you can actually see the character actually

22:53entering the big code so this is this is the idle this one is the idle for this and this one is open

23:01now you can't play that and play that at the same time look you can't do it you can only do that in

23:07blender okay just so you know that so if you want emma and her rig then of course click to download

23:14and download emma and her rig i'm going to give you both together so so you get emma okay emma

23:23and if you want let's say let's say you want your rig let me close this off so emma and emma i will say

24:00i only want to show you how to do it and the idea of what i want to show you in here just before i

24:05finish the video if let's say you're going to walk or run a jump just in case you're wondering how to do

24:11this it's okay if if you turn the padlock on you can't move these lines look you can't move them if you

24:18turn them off you can grab the line and you can move it so if you got let's say let's say you got

24:26let's say she was an idol you can put the idol here and then what you can do look like these ones here

24:32i can i can do exactly the same thing now exactly here that's what i can do and i can make it one

24:37animation so when i play it plays the whole animation if i want to do that but i'm not doing that i'm having

24:43my animations separate like that so anyway if if you want to do that what you do is you put the

24:49idol here first so you'll turn it on which is that one now look so you'll leave your idol well for

24:56probably what 20 seconds maybe then you'll move this one to about there so if you'll say idle for 20

25:04seconds half an hour whatever you want of course you're not going to wait half an hour for your

28:06that eagle because she's got a certain time period before the egg will actually play and then once you

28:13picks it up maybe it doesn't open until she picks it up so maybe once you picks it up then it opens again

28:23a different option for you if you want to do it so take this get rid of that

28:31as i said this is all the animation for it go back here export so what you're going to get

28:37is the egg emma in it delete that so i'll say if you want it if you don't want emma you can always delete

28:45it if you don't want it or i'll actually give you i'll give you the egg on its own just in case you want

28:51the egg on it so i'll just show you

28:57go back to here now open emma open this one up and to h1 so this is emma and her egg just in case

29:06you're wondering if you want it now what would be kind of good inside there which now i'm looking at

29:12it i'm thinking actually i might just do that i might put like a white i might put a disk inside here

29:16a white disk it pulls that it's on keyframe animation just let you know that which is

29:22pretty great now i won't put like a disk inside here it's not going to make any difference if i

29:28put a disk inside here so it looks like she's standing inside of the actual you know the white

29:34part of the egg well she's not in the white part she's in the yellow part of the egg so she's standing

29:40right inside the yolk like yeah but it might look okay and then of course when the thing falls over

29:47on the floor like this all the egg is going to run out onto the floor and of course because it's really

29:55really slippery she's going to slide out so yeah anyway it's up to you maybe we're not going to put

30:01no yolk maybe we're not going to put no yolk in it anyway leave your comments on the video if you want

30:06to see the yolk in it we'll put the yolk in it and we might not animate it we might we might just stick

30:11it in there just for visual effects so it looks like she's actually climbed inside the egg and you

30:18might not actually be emma in the egg it could be a dinosaur inside the egg it could be anything inside

30:24the egg honestly really depending where it is anyway this is emma's egg teleportation

30:31uni maybe i'm not going to actually tell you what it is whatever anyway it's emma's egg so if you

30:39want it click the video download it the animations are here you have three animations the first animation

30:44is idle it won't do nothing because watch i'll play it if you turn if you turn the loop off watch

30:54it will open and you want to stay open unless of course you play it in reverse

30:59of course yeah once it's climbing out you won't need it like that so i think okay this is animation

31:06one where it's closed you don't know what's inside the egg of course you know what's inside the egg i've

31:10just showed you and you go here this one is entering the pin code it is playing look she's entering the

31:17pin code you can't actually see that so yeah anyway the pin code the pin code is not for when she's inside

31:25the egg it is for when she comes out of the egg so when she climb let me let me turn off when she

31:33climbs out the egg maybe just possibly does a pin code on the outside so maybe she can come out type

31:41the pin code on the outside and re-close the egg so no one else can get inside it probably anyway stay
