Chennai (Tamil Nadu), June 2, 2025 (ANI): Reacting to the Chennai Mahila Court's sentencing of A. Gnanasekaran to life imprisonment for at least 30 years and a fine of ₹90,000 in the Anna University rape case, the Governor of Telangana and BJP MP Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan said, "He has been convicted. There should be no relaxation in his punishment. I want to mention two things the legal process has been fast, but I don’t understand how the Stalin government can take credit for it. If they are taking credit for this, then who will take responsibility for the incident?

00:16this culprit should be life convicted or should be hanged. That was elderly ladies' words.
