00:26favorite bands all right perfect okay all right cool we got a cool mayor i think um we are uh

00:32by the way this city offers so much i know you guys love uh inviting people down here but we're

00:38staying at the ocean cliff yeah uh great hotel um and there's so many great places to visit when

00:45you're down here yeah we have a little crew from ocean cliff over here behind us yeah we do round

00:49of applause for them the best and ocean cliff was one of my uh first jobs growing up as a kid

00:55oh very cool year old bar back and here i am uh better better model years later still in the

01:01hospitality business better job better job mayor or bar back oh bar back okay yeah for sure do you

01:07know that new book way more money new book that's that's going everywhere the wedding people based

01:13off the ocean cliff yep so cool what is it the wedding people it's on my list of what i what i should

01:18read and jody gave me one yesterday a copy of it yesterday do you like weddings i do yes love them

01:24vince vaughn and noah wilson that's a great movie wedding crashers yes yes it was well we want to we

01:30want to thank you for having us here and um i would recommend newport to anybody who hasn't been here

01:36it it is the food is great the people are great uh the the water's great the harbor's great everything's

01:43great so uh we have pretty much everything to offer for anything you want to do but sports wise

01:47people don't know how big of a sports town newport is yeah you know obviously we have uh you know

01:52newport country club the first u.s open was held here uh we had the uh senior u.s open last year

01:57out there obviously america's cup and i think you guys are going out maybe on one of the boats later

02:01with uh brad reed yep yep uh the gulls you got the gulls the gulls the three-time champions gully for

02:07sure there's gully so cute and part of my mayoral role is i get to throw out the first pitch on

02:14wednesday night at their opening night oh hopefully it goes better than greg and wiggies

02:17i gotta warm up the arm a little bit but yeah greg was a bad baba buoy it was like

02:22bounce five feet before the dirt of the mound twice unfortunately um now i know you have a couple

02:29uh presentations to make this i do i know when i heard you guys were coming down um first i want to

02:35say thank you guys so much for everything that you do foundation wise everything you do for the

02:38community uh raising money even during covet for all the restaurant uh employees so that's fantastic

02:45um but i wanted to make sure and wiggie as a former new england patriot starting the dynasty

02:52the snow game we'll never forget that i appreciate it i got a little gift for you

02:57oh brother oh oh i'm mad okay it's pink all right all right hold on don't say don't say no let's see

03:05what we got up in here okay what is it oh the key the gold key to the city know what this means

03:23to the city so wait what do you what comes with the key to the city everything don't trust me we're

03:29changing the locks tomorrow okay but today that's all right it's all yeah watch out when i'm driving

03:36around and i'm blowing through every red light i get pulled over i'll be like you see this right

03:40here i can do what i want have you ever been given a key to a city no like no this is the first did

03:47brooklyn ever do that no brooklyn never did it and neither did he's boston wow wow this is this

03:52this is maybe this is the start or something all right all right cool appreciate that well-deserved

03:57wait all right i'm i feel like i'm a i'm a rhode islander now prior to this he wouldn't go south

04:04of massive yeah yeah i did well we've learned with the red sox he's very easily bought yeah i am

04:10all right and uh one other thing i have here today is uh since you're down here today uh it's a

04:15proclamation from the city of newport and i'm just gonna i'm not gonna read the whole thing but

04:19basically says for all the all the work you guys done for the community for all the charities

04:23on the foundation that today may 30th 2025 is going to be the greg hill show in newport wood

04:29island oh you're awesome that is so cool show that on twitch and youtube greg you have a day

04:37yeah we got a day we got a we got a day so like the key it's only good for one day

04:41well we thank you you're you guys are incredible hosts we thank you i'm so glad that we decided to

04:48come here and i think we'll probably be back next year if you guys will have us oh but anytime okay

04:52and uh to frankie pk the landing lobster bar crew uh everything you guys have done for me tunic

04:57oyster bar especially um this is another donation to that uh that to that cause for me so that's

05:03fantastic job are you like this is what we do we we we help each other out this is what we do in the

05:09hospitality industry and in the city so it's all about it's all about what we can do for someone else
