00:00Another win for Leeds Rhinos here at the jungle against Castleford Tigers, 29 points to six and it's lifted them to third in Metford Super League.
00:10This is the best run form they've been in now since 2022 when they reached the grand final.
00:15But don't let the score fool you too much. This was hard work for Leeds against a very resilient Castleford side, I thought, who gave it a real good go.
00:25They scored straight after half time having trailed 7-0 at the break and at 7-6 it was game on.
00:31A few things went Leeds' way. The try they got Leeds back into the game had a lot of fortune about it.
00:38Castleford were unlucky to have a touchdown disallowed. It was the right decision but it could so very easily have been a try to get them back in the game just after that.
00:48And they battled hard all the way through. Leeds just had a little bit too much size and strength really.
00:54A fantastic effort from Leeds' bench. I thought all four of them were excellent.
00:58Coach Brad Arthur went with a very big bench and Sam Lassoni is, I think, playing his best rugby since joining Leeds a couple of years ago.
01:06He was very strong, almost unstoppable in his two spells. Scored a couple of tries and Cass lost two players to injuries trying to tackle him including Tom and Amon early on which obviously hurt them quite a lot.
01:19Cass never gave in but Leeds were quite patient. They can certainly be a lot better with the ball.
01:24They missed a host of good chances in the first half but they took their opportunities well in the second.
01:29They didn't panic even when Cass got themselves back in the game. Most of Leeds' tries actually came from kicks which is a credit to Castleford's defence but Leeds just had that little bit extra size and power.
01:42And it's now turning into certainly an encouraging season for the Rhinos. I think anyone would have taken them being third in the table at this stage.
01:52They've got an opportunity to build a run of results now and they're looking like a top four side. They can be a lot better I think particularly with the ball in hand but they're a very difficult team to score against.
02:05And so far things are looking pretty good for Rhinos and I think Castleford are probably starting to show good signs of maybe not challenging the top six but certainly finishing well away from the bottom two.
02:21I think they've got more wins in them for sure. When they get a few more bodies back on the field I think they'll pick up some good results later in the year.
02:31So, thank you very much for the Bills.
02:33If you've got more wins in the year.
02:35Thank you very much for your team and I'll give it to you.
