00:08We allowed them to frustrate us and then with that frustration we had everyone sort of 1-17 try and
00:17come up with something special or win it on their own and we didn't work together as a team
00:21and then that led to errors because there's lack of clarity about what you're trying to do and what you're trying to achieve.
00:30And the harder we tried, you know the worse it got but we just tried not as a team, we tried as individuals.
00:39What was it that frustrated you from that point of view, the rock speed?
00:45Well he's done a good job of getting numbers in and slowing it down.
00:48But we got our fair share of penalties on the back of it but I think we've got to learn to control our emotions
00:54and not worry about things that aren't in our control and whether we win or play the ball
00:59and if you're taking steps to go backwards to try and play the ball because they're all in the ruck.
01:06But it's, you know what, good luck to them.
01:10That was obviously their tactic and it frustrated us and it worked and we all learned to deal with that better.
01:16Does that frustrate you because we've seen times this season where you've not allowed that to happen?
01:20Does it feel like a bit of a step back in that respect?
01:24I don't know. We didn't deserve to win that game. They are players.
01:28We can't have the amount of opportunities that we did and we did an ice and then, you know, it's a good lesson for us
01:35and we need to learn from it pretty quickly even.
01:38That, you know, everyone needs to play their role but we need to do it together as a team.
01:42No one's good enough in this team or in the competition winning on their own.
01:45There was one sim bin but could there have been one before that with the tip tackle on Lockie Miller, do you think?
01:53Oh, look, I think at the start of the year there was lots of sim bins but not a lot of, so all you want is consistency across the board, that's all.
02:04And then I don't want to be frustrated and act on emotion and say things that, you know, I need to have a good look at those before I start making rash statements about them, yeah.
02:17Like you say, the harder you tried, the worse it got at times. Jake Connor had a bit of an off day. What do you put that down to?
02:22Like I said, I just think we're frustrated, so with the frustration, everyone was trying, everyone wanted to win, everyone was trying hard.
02:29But sometimes the harder you try, you just need to calm down, settle it, keep it simple and we did it.
02:35Was he carrying a knock-up towards the end, Jake?
02:37Yeah, I think he got a knock but he should be okay.
02:41Positives from tonight?
02:44We only conceded one try but even then, you know, we still should have stopped that but there wasn't a lot of positives to take out of it, no.
02:51Does it feel a little bit like a step back?
02:54Well, it's not a step back, it's just a lesson for us.
02:56It's one game, if you're doing that, you know, two, three weeks in a row, it's a step back.
02:59It's not a step back, it's just a lesson.
03:01Remember to learn from it.
03:03And rather we get those lessons now, then, you know, when it really matters.
03:10Helps me.
03:12Um, they've taken him to hospital, it doesn't look good.
03:16Yeah, he might have a fracture to his face so, yeah, we'll have to wait and see.
03:22Any thoughts on, on how it came out?
03:26He thinks he got, you know, a shoulder flush on his head but, you know, we don't want to be making rash statements until we've actually seen it, you know.
03:33Um, but yeah, he feels like he got, feels contact on him.
03:37Well, there has to be some sort of force on his head for him to have a fracture so, just, you know, how it happened, I don't know.
03:43Is he, I mean, how old is it?
03:46So, it's pretty nice.
03:47Yeah, no, no, he's pretty beat up.
03:50Um, he's on the gas but, no, they'll get him off the hospital and get him looked at and see where they go to from there.
03:57Could be surgery, he knows.
04:01Any further questions?
04:02Thank you, Brad.
04:03No, not good.
04:05Well, Brad, can I just ask you one thing that's not, not to do with the game.
04:08Ryan Carr, that you know from Para.
04:11Yeah.
04:12Would he be a good fit for Cass, do you think?
04:14I mean, he's a good, he's a good young coach.
04:16Um, I've spent a bit of time with him.
04:18Knows his footy.
04:19Um, but, you know, like, that's the stuff that he has to work out of their coaches.
