00:00Another really competitive race, like the two turf races, they are fantastic betting races.
00:05You can make a case for so many horses in here, like the one SEAL team.
00:08I mean, it's not like he's done much wrong in his whole career.
00:11His last two races, he finished third and then second in races that were pretty comparable to this.
00:17He was right behind me, Hermano Ramon, one of his rivals in this race back in December.
00:22And he's a little bit fresh right now.
00:24So that just depends for certain horses in certain barns, right?
00:27Certain trainers are really good when horses have a bit of a break a couple months off.
00:32Other times they might need a race or two to kind of build their fitness back up.
00:36But a horse like SEAL team, he fits with this group.
00:40Yeah, I mean, this race to me looks like if you're playing multi-race wagers, spread in this race.
00:48Use multiple horses.
00:49I really feel like this is going to be a blanket finish in here.
00:52But SEAL team does his best work when he gets a fast pace to run at.
00:55And it does look like it should set up for him like that on Monday.
00:59I would include him considering how much he's been improving in his recent performances.
01:03And the next couple of horses, we have newly turned four-year-olds.
01:07Horses that are now kind of stepping up into the older division.
01:09And they're all really sharp.
01:11You have a Teetland who's won two races in a row.
01:14My only concern with him, Alexa, he's been a little bit better going longer.
01:18So I think that might be the thing for him because he can go a little slower early, kind of get comfortable, and continue to sustain that rally.
01:27I'm not sure if going a shorter distance and having to go a little quicker early on will be what he wants to do.
01:33But I can't knock what he's been doing recently.
01:35And we see one of those wins right here.
01:37I had the same note, Gino, that I think this distance might not be his preferred distance.
01:42However, I do like that he's won multiple times closing into a slow pace, which is hard to do, right?
01:47Usually, you want a fast pace so those leaders kind of burn up.
01:51And then, you know, it collapses and you have something to run at.
01:54And I do think he'll get a faster pace than he's probably ever gotten today or Monday.
01:59So from that standpoint, I could see using him.
02:02But I do think the distance is a big risk.
02:05Seminole Chief has won two in a row over at Gulfstream.
02:07He ships to the West, but he steps up.
02:09This is a much tougher group.
02:11What do you think about him?
02:12Yeah, steadily improving.
02:14Switch to grass this year.
02:15One, two, back to back.
02:16He likes to sit a nice trip a few lengths off the leaders and kind of grind them down.
02:20This is a big class jump against a lot of older season horses.
02:23So I think he would need to run like the race of his life.
02:27He wants to be kind of in the mix early as we're watching this replay.
02:29He was forwardly placed.
02:31And then he was able to kind of get the jump.
02:34He kind of like trips out, sort of what I call it.
02:36Like he falls into a lot of his wins because he can get the jump on the deeper closers.
02:40We move to King of Gosford.
02:42He's in a really nice spot in here, Alexa, because he's going to make his second start back of the year.
02:47I think they were pointing for this race for the shoemaker.
02:50I can just picture him sitting a really nice trip, maybe sitting like third or fourth in this race.
02:55What do you think about King of Gosford's chances?
02:58I think the race really suits him.
02:59So he loves Santa Anita.
03:01He's never been off the board in six starts at the track.
03:04He's won four of them.
03:05That being said, I do think he'd need a lifetime best performance in here.
03:09But he has tactical speed.
03:11He likes this distance profile.
03:13So I think it's a decent placement.
03:14One of the horses who has defeated him a couple of times, kind of his rival, a nuisance to him, is a horse who is trained by Michael McCarthy and ridden by Umberto Rispoli.
03:25Do those names sound familiar?
03:26Oh, yeah.
03:26They just won the Preakness when they teamed up last weekend.
03:29And they team up with Formidable Man.
03:31He just feels like one of the top contenders in here.
03:34He's become really versatile.
03:35This one, I don't know if I wanted Lucia to pull up this replay, Alexa, because Zio Joe, who was 23 to 1, I bet on this day, and he runs second.
03:45And he loses because Formidable Man gets a fantastic ride from Umberto Rispoli right up the rail.
03:51So this horse feels like one of the major players to me.
03:54Yeah, and this race we're looking at, I mean, there were a lot of common opponents in there that we're going to see on Monday.
04:01And, you know, Formidable Man's coming off this big win against so many common opponents in here.
04:07He's had a lot of time off.
04:10But, again, trainer, really good trainer, really good connections.
04:13Trainer's good off the layoff.
04:14He's training really well.
04:15So he definitely is one to play.
04:18Zio Joe feels like he had that perfect race, that one that we were watching.
04:23That was sort of his race to get the big win.
04:25Do you think he can compete with this group?
04:28I don't love him in here, honestly.
04:30He feels a cup below.
04:32Yeah, he's just a cup below.
04:33His trainer's not really doing well this meet, either.
04:35Mihermano Ramon, though, he didn't have the best of trips in his most recent race.
04:40But he's been really competitive with this group of horses.
04:43I think with a little different trip, he could be right there.
04:46What are your thoughts on Mihermano Ramon?
04:48Yeah, I mean, he likes to come off from off the pace.
04:51Was also in that grade two kill row.
04:53Got fifth, but only by a length and a quarter.
04:55So I think he could definitely be there in a blanket finish.
