00:03but Mark Wilf said something that you need to pay attention to.
00:09The NFL owners' meetings were held in Minnesota
00:12like they were last year at this time,
00:14and it feels like Minnesota is going to be a continuous place
00:17where the owners' meetings are held,
00:19because one, May's a beautiful time of year here,
00:22except the last couple days has been pretty rainy,
00:24but it's comfortable, it's not overly hot, not overly cold,
00:28usually in the 70s, very nice.
00:31And there was a lot that came out,
00:33including a potential ban of the Tush Push.
00:36Well, the Minnesota Vikings, well, they voted against it,
00:41but that's not what's important here.
00:42What's interesting is the comments that Mark Wilf had,
00:45and Wilf and his brother Ziggy took control of the team 20 years ago
00:50at these very same owners' meetings.
00:53So there has been a little bit of a history there,
00:56which is why he ended up talking to Paul Allen,
00:59the voice of the Vikings.
01:00And he talked about J.J. McCarthy,
01:02because he was asked, like, what do you think of McCarthy?
01:05And these words I think you really need to take into consideration.
01:08This is what he had to say, and it's huge.
01:12Mark said he has a gravitational pull as a leader.
01:14He really does.
01:15I think the way the players support him, the talent is there.

01:21of how he's handled everything today,
01:23and from an off-the-field perspective,
01:25we couldn't be happier.
01:26So all the things are pointing the right direction,
01:28and we're going to be supporting J.J.
01:30to have him be the success we want him to be.
01:33Yeah, that's awesome.
01:34The owner sees what kind of human being this is,
01:37because that's the big thing.
01:38A lot of people can scout talent,
01:40and that's still really difficult to do.
01:42But can you identify the human?
01:44Can you find the right human being
01:48to lead your organization,
01:50to get guys to buy in?
01:53That's hard to do.
01:55It's hard to find the right guy.
01:58Heck, we know now that Peyton Manning is a Hall of Famer,
02:01and Ryan Leaf was a mega bust,
02:03but in that 1998 NFL draft lead-up,
02:06we had no idea who's going to be the better guy.
02:08There were debates up until draft day
02:10was it going to be Peyton Manning or Ryan Leaf.
02:12It's an inexact science,
02:14but it's just another piece to the puzzle
02:18that it wasn't going to be Aaron Rodgers.
02:20It was always J.J. McCarthy.
02:22McCarthy was going to be the guy,
02:24and they have full buy-in with him
02:25from the top down.
